Jenny is great! I got a gel manicure with jewels and I absolutely love it! I feel like a princess!

Very happy with my nails and pedicure! My nail tech are so sweet and made sure I was 100% satisfied with my mani/pedi. Definitely coming back here again.

Thank you Kelly!

Every time I see these pictures and think about the servidI get upset. My birthday nails and when I expressed it to her she was very nonchalant. Never went back. I see the reviews and it seems like their quality work varies based off the color of your skin and that's unacceptable.

Hey let's face it. This is not a fancy salon but it has a great energy, is cheap and they get the job DONE RIGHT!. Kelly does a great job, is quick and EXTREMELY sweet! LOVE HER! Jenny is super nice too!

The thumb nail that had already felt broken inside when I left the shop and now broke 1 1/2 later and bleed.

I'm usually not the kind of person to go out of my way and write a review. However, after my experience at Dream Nails I finally became the type of person to go out of my way and write a review. This unfortunate situation happened on my birthday. Came in with my significant other for a spa day. Called in advanced to ask if they where open and spoke to the owners daughter Yeon who asked me the type service I wanted to receive before walking in for a walk in appointment I told her two manicures and pedicures. Once we arrived she asked me again and I told her yes manicure and pedicure fortwo and that I wanna powder on the nails and gel on the feet. Now being that I brought a second person in who is not someone that is an ideal person to come in and get nail services I had to create the appointment for the person so I had to have known what the person was getting along with what I was getting. Now I was quickly asked to pick a color and my boyfriend was brought over to the massage/pedicure station and shortly after picking out my color and even having a hard time picking a color Yeon was nice to help assist me even brining over the sample color choices for dip powder nail set which clearly indicates I'm here for a dip nail set. Now from my understanding I was getting a new set but that was not the case. My nail tech instead buffed off the previous dip powder nail set my other nail tech at different spa and just placed a new powder color. She even asked if I wanted the nails shorter and I said yes meaning she would have had to put on new set to create the desire length since my old sets did not provide the length I was asking for. After noticing none of the normal steps of a new powder set nails were done I asked if this was considers a new set or a refill. At this point just super confused. Now when I arrived for my appointment I had two important request I asked for 1. I had a broken nails which is why I came in originally to get a new set. The nail tech who replaced the nail not only left my nail crooked she stated that my finger was simple shaped that way. After asking her so many time to adjust the shape I realize there was a serious language barrier. 2. I came in with one toe that needed a fill due to my toe nail being a little damaged. Now I came in with a set of gel polish already on the toes nails and so I was well aware of the removal cost fee. Now what took place next really shocked me. So after explaining to the nail 10x that I notice after she took off the nail polish that underneath my nail and underneath the fill my nail looked green and very odd. I asked her to remove the previous fill and clean the nail during the pedicure before placing a new fill. After expanding my this to the nail tech, I had about 5 people, I cannot make this up walking to my toe and stand around it like it was some type of circus show. My boyfriend who was sitting next to me could see that I was embarrassed and even considered just stopping the service. But with so much work already down I was positive it was too late. And when it came time to check out I even tried to explain to Yeon that I simply wasn't satisfied. I originally came in with an idea of how I wanted my nails to look and ended coming out with something completely different and to top all this frustration the service took 3 hours y'all I cannot make this up. And after explaining all my concern to the owner all she was able to do was take off the fee for the toe fill that wasn't done properly and if anyone know that a SINGLE toe refill only cost about $5 to $10. Meaning after explaining all this to her that was all she could do for me. Mind you the entire service cost about $200 dollars. Which brings me to today. After only 1 day 1/2... two of the nails are broken, one of them being the ONLY nail she had to replace, which broke first then following the thumb nail that I explained to Yeon was also an issue during check out. Now I reached to Yeon via phone because I don't now reside in California was just visiting for my appointment. And I can't put into words just how unprofessional this company is so I will just post all the text messages and photos I sent to the daughter owner Yeon who is the only source of contact for that business apparently. To summarize this: please don't go here if you are looking to spend your hard working money for bad services and quality.

I wish I could give 0 stars I'm so disappointed. Look at my nails! They look like Walmart press on nails! Absolutely terrible. 2 and a half hours for this. The nails look like they are going to pop off. I came here after a recommendation from a friend. Never again $52 down the drain

Chairs that they don't use (no tubs).

I have been going to Dream Nails for 15 years. They do a great job on my eyebrows, and I get pedicures as well. Love them!

Nina is great, I always try to book with her. She introduced me to builder gel / hard gel polish, which I consistently get now. Ideal way to grow out and strengthen your nails without adding too much length. Nina is a pro at them. I've had several people do my toes and haven't had a poor experience. I recommend Iohki / Aoki if she's available. There are massage chairs here for enjoyment. I don't get too adventurous with my nails - just solid colors for me. Still, I've seen plenty of ladies come through for colorfully elaborate designs. All in all, I highly recommend this nail shop if you're around the Toluca Lake, Burbank, Studio City, Van Nuys or North Hollywood areas. This is well-situated and I personally like that it's not on a very major street. Pay via credit card, cash, Zelle, Venmo, etc. I really appreciate that they offer so many options for payment, as a number of other small shops require cash. This nail shop is in a strip mall next to a pizza place and a Thai spot. There's free parking in the lot, but spacing is tight and the area gets busy. Come a little early!

I would not recommend this place for the following reasons:…read more 1. Acrylic nails were applied too far away from cuticle, making them look outgrown as soon as they were applied. 2. Acrylic nail removal process was excruciatingly painful, the drill that was used removed my real nail bed in addition to the fake nail. I kept telling the technician I was in pain and she did not stop drilling. 3. I was duped by their high star rating on Yelp- however, their original Yelp page titled "A Touch Of Beauty" has a much lower overall rating. Seems a bit odd they have a second Yelp page called "A Touch Of Beauty Nail Spa" with a higher rating. Note, the address on both Yelp pages is the same so it's definitely the same business. I would not come back here for the reasons stated above.

Hi there... This is a review but also a clarification. Guru Nail Bar is no longer Guru Nail Bar. As…read moreof about sometime in April or early May, the owner of Guru Nail Bar, Lily, sold this location to a new owner, whose name is also Lily. The new owner, Lily, has renamed the shop to The Beauty Stop. So, if you've been here anytime since mid-April/early-May, you've been reviewing the new shop, The Beauty Stop, under new ownership, not Guru Nail Bar. The owner of Guru Nail Bar, Lily, has another location in Sherman Oaks called Beautevo on Ventura Blvd. Now, I've been to this location when it was Lily 1 and Guru Nail Bar, and then again once it was Lily 2 and The Beauty Stop. I had been going to Guru Nail Bar for my regular appts about every 2 weeks since Nov '23. I stopped in on a whim around Thanksgiving and got the best manicure I've ever had. So I decided to keep going there even though I live nowhere near it. I went as usual in early April and then I was out of town for several weeks. When I got back, I went in for my usual upkeep. It took me two visits to realize the place had been sold and was under new ownership but I knew the instant I walked in for that first appt in early May that something was radically different. The vibe had completely changed. There were new faces but that didn't faze me. It was the energy in the salon - it was a bit more frenetic. Whereas prior the space was calm and chill. I also noticed that while my nails always looked great, they weren't lasting as long. So, I hunted down Lily 1 and her other shop (I knew she had another location because she had referenced it on other occasions). It's Beautevo in Sherman Oaks. I went in for an appt last weekend and it was chill, and calm, and I got the best manicure, as usual. So, just know that if you're coming here to leave a review you're not doing it for Guru Nail Bar. It's for The Beauty Stop. As for my 5 star review, that's for when it was still Guru Nail Bar pre-transition. I'd give The Beauty Stop 4 stars.

I initially noticed issues with the regular polish, as my nails would chip the very next day. While I eventually switched to gel and didn't mind it, part of the reason I continued coming was because I live nearby and the location is convenient. What has been most disappointing is that I appear to have been blocked from calling the salon. When I try to call from my phone, the calls do not go through, but they do when I use a different phone. I have no idea why this would be the case, as I have always been polite and respectful. At my last appointment, the owner ended up fixing my nail because the salon seemed extremely short-staffed. When I first came in to have the nail repaired, I waited about 30 minutes before being told to return another day. I did not get upset or cause a scene, I simply came back as requested. Throughout my visits, I have been patient but my nails kept chipping. As a business owner myself, I understand that staffing shortages and operational challenges happen. I appreciated that they eventually fixed the nail, especially since I had experienced repeated chipping that appeared to be related to newer products being used. It's also sad to see so many of the original team members no longer there. Overall, I'm left feeling confused and disappointed by the level of service and communication, especially given my loyalty as a longtime customer.

What happened to this place? I'm going to have to hunt for a new spot and I'm so bummed about that…read more The vibe has changed a lot from what it used to be- seems there is new ownership? I came back after a long nail break and today was my third and final visit. The last two appts were a little bit off, all the little things that used to make this my favorite place were hit or miss now, but today was almost insulting. The woman doing my pedicure right away seemed new and unsure about everything she was doing. Cool, I'm patient. But it wasn't really the relaxing vibe I was paying extra for- a lot of bumbling around, leaving the scrub on my legs until it started to itch, cleaning the whole basin while my legs were cold and wet instead of drying them first, stuff like that. I was really dying for some pampering today so all of that stunk, but fine. She barely took any length off my toenails despite asking her to cut them short not just file. The clipper hardly touched them. I had to ask her to go back again and she did and they are STILL longer than they should be. But the part that was insane: during my 10 minute leg "massage" (which was only 8 minutes), she was literally texting with one hand and half massaging me with the other for maybe half the time. I was staring right at her in disbelief. I should have said something but I honestly felt weird demanding she massage me better? I wanted to relax, and that would have felt so uncomfortable. At one point she was just absentmindedly scraping her fingernail up and down the bottom of my foot, totally lost in her phone. I've never experienced anything close to this here. When I paid, the woman at the desk asked how it was, and I hesitated (this woman was right next to me) but said, slowly "um... okaaaay, but" and she cut me off "great! You owe $53"- she obviously didn't care, so I decided not to bother. The polish is nice even if my toenails will have to be cut in maybe a week max. That sucks. I still tipped 15% since I usually tip 25 or 30 because they are usually that good, but now I wish I'd tipped less. Absolutely wild experience.
