Such a sad place with baby portion food. The ambiance is kind of dark and does not give you the feeling that you want to eat haha. But Some nice ladies work there which gives you the impression that you are going to have real Mexican food. All in all, I'm not going back to this place because the portion is super small and we went somewhere else afterward.

The food wasn't bad, but honestly forreal they could have had more food for the price! I wanted to get the shrimp dripped fries, but I knew they'd give me probably 4-5 of them lol.. so I opted for the shredded beef. But again for the price a drink could have came with it. I'd definitely try it again but something else on the menu. You don't really have to interact with anyone because you will use the tablet to order your food.

    Street-sized birria tacos

I recently visited Dripped Birria's Midtown location, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. While the presentation of the food looked appealing at first glance, the portion sizes were shockingly small--far smaller than what you'd reasonably expect for the price. It honestly felt misleading, as if the portions were designed to look more substantial than they actually were. The birria tacos were all street-sized tacos served on corn tortillas which are significantly smaller. This was not worth the $25 I spent. For a restaurant that specializes in birria, I expected a hearty, satisfying meal. Instead, I felt like I barely ate. The value just isn't there, and it comes across as deceptive to customers who are expecting a proper serving. There are plenty of other restaurants out there that serve authentic, generously portioned birria without cutting corners or misleading their customers. I would strongly recommend exploring those options instead. I won't be returning, and I hope others are aware of what to expect before spending their money here.

Wow. That was some bad food. Staff was nice. But it's like an actor with a bad script. What can you do. The taco was greasy, limp and soggy. The single taco comes in chicken or "meat" which is beef. The cup of consume was watery and bland. Dipping the taco didn't make it tastier. Just watery. I couldn't see any cilantro or onions in it but when I brought it to the counter I saw a few. The cashier was really nice and gave me some more to make it taste like something. The hot sauce that comes with the taco was ok. But that's about all I can say positive aside from the soda which had good carbonation.

Top notch if you're a hipster but if you a real one who knows real birria you might be disappointed. I feel like this is a spot meant more for the door dashers and grub hubbers than the ones who like good food!!

Right off the bat the staff here was very friendly and helpful with the menu. I loved that the restaurant itself was very clean and clearly maintained well. The food honestly was ok but I could see myself coming back for the friendly staff and moody aesthetic.

HAS A DRIVE-THRU, LATE-NIGHT EATS, OPEN TILL 4 AM Newly opened in Midtown, WALKING DISTANCE, the next block over from WONDERBAR. I see this being the new spot for drunken eats. It could be a little heavy but depends on what you're craving. The vibey purple lights & black interior fit the aesthetic they're going for - QUESABIRRA TACO: you get a choice of BEEF or CHICKEN. We went with the beef & it was tender. The cheese tied everything together & the consome soup was well seasoned. - BIRRA RAMEN: the chewiness of the noodles was perfect but the broth was a bit too vinegary. It could be because of the TAPATIO seasoning of the ramen - CHURRO & ICECREAM: nice that they have a sweet treat on the menu. Ice cream at 3 am sounds amazing. The churro however did taste greasy. The dough absorbed a lot of the oil so it lacked the crunch I was hoping for from the churro

Maybe it's my first time being Birria and I'm sure there are plenty of great spots but for what it's worth, it was great! We ordered the birria ramen, birria tacos, and fried chicken quesadillas. It was so good! Service was pretty good too. Was not expecting our server who was also the cashier, take care of us and kept our area clean. Pretty cool vibes, lots of led lights. It didn't bother us, but for those who care about lighting, it may be a little too dark. Other than that, we had a good time. Till then, let's eat!!!

I was really looking forward to trying Dripped Birria, but honestly, it was a huge letdown. The main issue? The meat was just bad.Birria is supposed to be tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, but what I got was dry, chewy, and string--like it had been overcooked or just low quality from the start. Even worse, the flavor was completely off. Birria should be rich, well-seasoned, and full of depth, but this tasted bland, like they just threw some basic seasoning on and hoped for the best. And don't get me started on the rice and brand there thin, watery, and had no real flavor. The whole experience was just disappointing. For a spot that hypes up its birria, I expected way better. If they don't fix the quality of their meat, I wouldn't waste my time or money here again. There are way better birria tacos out there.

I came to this place based off of the reviews ONLY, and for my first Time trying street tacos let's just say I came up a little disappointed. Let me say that the vibe/atmosphere is chill. The host/ waitress was super pleasant and very tentative, she's probably the only reason why I'm giving this place a four instead of a 2. I chose the shrimp tacos, and I should have taken the hostess advice, and got extra shrimps because my tacos didn't have any and the shrimps were bland. The sauce that came with it was flavorful, so it helped. Of course you need something to drink , but $5.00 thats way too expensive for a taco spot. But it's all about the experience I guess ‍

Allow me to be Review No. 1,100 following my visit to this wonderful culinary gem yesterday…read more By default, Spring Branch is Houston's Koreatown, but it's not unusual to find establishments with Spanish-language branding on them throughout the neighborhood. And Tacos Doña Lena, on which I'll heap tons of praise on, is among them. A group of friends and I had supper here before a live show down the street at Eighteen Ten Ojeman. Upon seeing the storefront when we pulled into the parking lot, my first thought was, "Okay, this is legit Mexican, not Tex-Mex." The interior is quite small with some tables and an ample late Saturday afternoon crowd. What caught my eye is how the environment is what you might expect to find at a family-run taqueria off the beaten path. Rock en Español blaring from the sound system. Colorful papel picado draped from the ceiling. A framed Mexican flag and several references to the central Mexican municipality of Guanajuato. The intoxicating smell of spice-laced grilled beef wafting through the air. Simply put, we're not in Kansas anymore, Toto. I glanced at the menu. There are numerous, delicious-sounding items that happen to be wallet-friendly, a bit cheaper than if you were to go to Gringos or Jimmy Changas. According to a mutual, the tacos here are the main draw, but what really caught my attention and appetite was the ramen birria. Mujeres y caballeros (ladies and gentlemen), let me proclaim that Tacos Doña Lena turns a noodle dish with origins in Japan and is a known staple in college dorm rooms into a must-try on this part of America's fourth-largest city. Two amazing food cultures unite for a fiery meeting of the minds. Anchored by a rich, tasty consomé that's spicy but not enough to where you need to drink multiple glasses of water, there's a prime mix of ramen noodle, beef birria, cheese, fried egg, rabanos, garbazo, and corn accompanied by cilantro, onions, and a pair of fried tostadas. I was so impressed with how the contents of the ramen blended together. Since it was ramen after all despite the south of the border touchup, I still ate it the traditional way: pick up the noodles and sip the soup. There was so much that I had no choice but to put it in a takeout container. Sure, Spring Branch may be home to some great traditional Korean restaurants, but don't sleep on Tacos Doña Lena.

We ordered: Horchata (small for $3.49), Quesadillas with beef, Quesadillas with chicharron, Gorditas with beef, and Gorditas with chicharron. I don't like cinnamon but the horchata was addicting and it paired so well with the food. My friend got their Melon Agua Fresca and he said it was really refreshing as well. The gorditas were stuffed and they were so delicious, the cheese was melting and the bread was warm and not dry. The Quesadillas were my favorite. You put both the red sauce and the green sauce on it, a lot of lime juice, and it's perfect. I forgot to order cilantro on mine but they do give you it at no extra cost. There's a parking lot, but we went on the weekend, and while the interior didn't look overly full, it was somewhat difficult to find a parking spot. The restaurant itself is clean. Everything is pretty much green and white. There's covered patio seating. You order from a window and there's a large menu printed nearby The menu offers all sorts of tacos, meats, burritos, bowls, quesadillas, quesabirras, sides, and even kids meals. You can get beer, margaritas, and non-alcoholic drinks. There's also a breakfast menu The food was good, and it didn't take too long to come out. My main issue was the service. The individual taking orders seemed to have a bit of an attitude and just seemed "over it." Furthermore, we mentioned having a queso coupon and when we were given the total I placed my card on the reader and I was told that I did it too fast and the queso wasn't taken off. The odd thing was, we walked away and realized that they didn't add the queso and the coupon was for free queso so they could have just rung up an additional queso. This individual had the vibe of eye rolling everything, and it honestly left a bad taste in my mouth Some tips: You can order online to avoid any wait. Just go up to the pick-up window when it's supposed to be ready for a painless interaction There's a little bar area where you can get pre-packaged (to-go) salsas, pickled onions, limes, etc etc etc. the salsas are tomatillo, habanero, and jalapeño (I believe) You can order margaritas to go, which we did!
