Avoid this place. I used to be a regular at Dripped Birria and ordered pick-up from them several times without issue, which is what makes this experience so disappointing. My usual order is the birria ramen and quesabirria tacos. This time, the ramen arrived with a thick layer of oil settled on top and tasted so bad it was completely inedible. The taste was awful. I drove back to the restaurant immediately to give them a chance to fix it. While calmly explaining the situation and showing them the container the ramen was in, a woman who was identified as the manager interrupted and said there was nothing they could do--before I could even ask for a remake or an alternative. She claimed they recently changed their meat and insisted it tastes better now, despite the fact that the food was clearly not okay. She then tried to push responsibility onto DoorDash, even though the order was placed through the restaurant's own app, which is merely powered by DoorDash. I attempted to call DoorDash customer service, but the phone number listed for order issues goes directly to the restaurant, and she was the one who answered when I called. As someone with years of customer service experience, this was jaw-dropping. Restaurants mess up--it happens. What separates good businesses from bad ones is how they respond. There was no apology, no attempt to make things right, and no accountability. I've always noticed that the dining room is usually empty when I pick up my food. After this experience, that finally makes sense. With so many good birria options in this city, there's no reason to return here. read more

Such a sad place with baby portion food. The ambiance is kind of dark and does not give you the feeling that you want to eat haha. But Some nice ladies work there which gives you the impression that you are going to have real Mexican food. I recently visited Dripped Birria's Midtown location, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. While the presentation of the food looked appealing at first glance, the portion sizes were shockingly small--far smaller than what you'd reasonably expect for the price. It honestly felt misleading, as if the portions were designed to look more substantial than they actually were. The birria tacos were all street-sized tacos served on corn tortillas which are significantly smaller. This was not worth the $25 I spent. For a restaurant that specializes in birria, I expected a hearty, satisfying meal. Instead, I felt like I barely ate. The value just isn't there, and it comes across as deceptive to customers who are expecting a proper serving. There are plenty of other restaurants out there that serve authentic, generously portioned birria without cutting corners or misleading their customers. Wow. That was some bad food. Staff was nice. But it's like an actor with a bad script. What can you do. The taco was greasy, limp and soggy. The single taco comes in chicken or "meat" which is beef. The cup of consume was watery and bland. Dipping the taco didn't make it tastier. Just watery. I couldn't see any cilantro or onions in it but when I brought it to the counter I saw a few. The cashier was really nice and gave me some more to make it taste like something. The hot sauce that comes with the taco was ok. But that's about all I can say positive aside from the soda which had good carbonation. read more

This place is alright, but I think mostly a place to come when drunk after going to the bars. The service isn't the best, from my experience. The prices don't make things much better. If you are visiting on a Thurs, Fri. Sat night, you're better off going to the food vendors along Brazos. The host/ waitress was super pleasant and very tentative, she's probably the only reason why I'm giving this place a four instead of a 2. I chose the shrimp tacos, and I should have taken the hostess advice, and got extra shrimps because my tacos didn't have any and the shrimps were bland. Placed order at 1107 and was told would be at least 20 mins for the food because he had not set the fryer up yet and she went back there to do it and he said he would get it. cashier was rude and said we open at 11 but no one ever comes in til 12 so we aren't ready when we open. The tacos tasted a little white washed lol, there was little to no cilantro and the corn tortillas were crispy as hell. 1/4 of a lime for 4 tacos. The green and red sauce was ok, still had to add Valentina tho. The portions were still a little skimpy despite paying extra, the meat itself is pretty good tho. high quality cut and seasoned well.
