We came for a corporate event with our kids. They do have kids clubs so be sure to ask for them. Food was good and everyone had a lot of fun. Second floor has fun games that are free (Pac-Man, skeeball, etc) which keep kids busy. It does get really hit and humid in the summer months so I would recommend to come during cooler months. Review is only for the food. My sister and I came here for their Bachelor viewing. The staff made it really fun. They were very attentive. I ordered the Bucket of Balls (meatballs with bread). Very homemade taste. We loved it so much we ordered it again. My bf ordered Cast Iron Skillet Cookie A La Mode, which was my favorite desert. The cookie is very rich. 1st time yesterday. Went with a group of about 20. 1st- everyone has to pay for a membership. Stupid. 2nd- out of the 2 elevators, one had vomit in it, and the other wasn't working. 3rd- We had 2 bays reserved. When we recieved our text that they were ready, another patron also was sent a text to the same bay. 4th- our game stopped working halfway through our hour. 5th- service was slow. 6th- i asked our server to turn on either of the 2 fans to cool off. Went here last night to attend a "Welcome Party" for USA gymnastics Level 9 Eastern National Competition And has a fabulous time! Great service, excellent food and such a fun venue for groups of kids and their families! The best part was "driving" when it was dark and everything was lit up! Worst experience I've ever had at any establishment. 100% won't be back and will NEVER recommend to anyone. We came in a group of 5. Off the bat our server ignored us and was no where to be seen. It took about 15 mins for us to hunt him down (server name: Nestor). Then it took another 10-15 mins just to get drinks. We then didn't see our server for another 30 mins. Anytime we wanted anything we had to hunt down our waiter. Not once did he come to our table to check on us. Drinks were empty and we didn't even bother to ask for more as it was impossible to find him to order. I've been in hospitality my whole life and this was definitely the worst I've experienced. Let me state up front that I came here for a work event, and didn't actually pay anything out of pocket. The food prices I saw on the menu seemed reasonable, but I have no idea how much it cost to use the facilities. At first when I found out this was the destination for our work event, I was underwhelmed. I live and work in downtown Orlando, and wasn't excited about having to drive out to Lake Nona for an activity I'm not interested in. I like mini golf, but have never played actual golf. When I arrived, I asked an employee where to find my group, and she personally escorted me up the elevator to the third floor, which I thought was a nice touch. Overall service seemed to be very attentive and helpful. We had 3 bays reserved for our group, and the bay I joined in with was playing some type of monster game where you had to aim the ball toward different colored areas to defeat the monsters. I thought the technology was pretty cool. I probably could have used some expert pointers on how to hold a club and swing properly, as I basically sucked at the actual golf part of hitting the ball. My favorite part was actually the free skee ball. I kept dragging a co-worker in to play skee ball between the rounds of golf. The game room helps make Drive Shack a more versatile location for group events. Our group shared a variety of appetizers and everything was decent. I probably would have enjoyed the food more if ordering specifically what looked good to me on the menu. Although I came in with hesitations, I left feeling surprised that I had a much better time than expected. I still have no real interest in golf, but the overall atmosphere was pretty fun and kind of hooked me in. I'd actually consider going back to Drive Shack to hang out with friends. read more

Tried this golf driving range for our first golf family outing. We hadn't done anything but mini golf before. This is a great casual way to try golf without the pressure of a game at a real golf course. No special shoes or clothing required, which is nice. Dress cool and comfortably in summer as the bays are outdoors. While checking in for our game, the loud music made it hard to hear but overall friendly front desk service. The bays are outdoor but covered with ceiling fans running. I still wouldn't want to do this in the rain. Even though it was hot that July afternoon, it wasn't too hot for me. Cheaper morning sessions would be more comfortable during summer in FL. There are cushioned outdoor couches in each bay. Our couch had crumbs on it that I had to wipe off before I sat down wearing white shorts so they need to clean the bays better between guests. Sleek, contemporary decor. We decided on a third floor bay as my teen son wanted every advantage for his swings, ;-). It was reasonable for $35 afternoon rate (for up to six) for an hour. When you add food, beverages, it gets pricey. Afterward we went to the free (smallish) game room for another hour. Total cost was equal to dinner and a movie for the three of us. Our server/caddy was friendly and explained everything clearly about game choices. We didn't have alcohol this visit so that would have driven up the bill/tip even more. Our server kept our iced teas and sodas refilled and didn't try to upsell us, which was nice. Overall nice for families, date nights or adult groups alike. Young children were there but they weren't swinging clubs. Our teenage son was allowed to swing so don't know what the age limit is. read more

Update: I eventually received a refund, but no actual response from Customer service. I've adjusted the star rating. ----- I normally never leave bad reviews for places, but in this case people really should know before visiting. My family and I went to Drive Shack last weekend. The first red flag was the fans used outside. If you're going on a hot day, which is every day in Florida, just know that the fans used are rotating standing fans. The kind you buy at Walmart. Nothing ceiling mounted, at least not in all bays. The screens and games were nothing to get excited about, but were functional. The main reason for my review is the time limit on reservations. We wanted to be safe and reserved 3 hours. Because of the heat, and disappointing fans, we decided to only do 2 hours. After speaking with the front desk and the server we were told they couldn't refund the last hour, but to email their Corporate office. So far no reply from them and at the bottom of the reservation email it says no refunds are issued for unused time. Bad on me for not seeing that while we were there, but had the employees reminded us of that limitation we would have played the last hour. Instead it looks like we wasted $25. If you're trying to decide just go with Top Golf. read more

My friends and I returned to Drive Shack, after Robert from Drive Shack reached out to me and wanted to makeup for our not-so-great first experience. Our same group returned (about 2 months after our first visit, which was the week they opened) and we truly had a much better experience. The game was explained to us better this time and the tracking software seemed a lot more accurate and the system didn't freeze or crash on us this time. We liked the Black Jack game a lot as beginners. Our server was very helpful and attentive and everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. No issues with service this time around. What a cool and fun addition to Lake Nona! My hubby and I went around 5 on a Sunday and got a bay immediately. We did one of the virtual courses and we did one of the fun games as well. Another added bonus is that the arcade type games are free. The staff was all super friendly, attentive, and fast. Our waitress recommended games like monster and black jack. This place has a lot of potential but it's disappointing. I went last weekend (their reopening weekend after they had supposedly done some renovations), and the systems didn't work. The machine would intermittently turn off and not track the balls. We brought this up to our servers attention and we weren't charged for the play time. Also, they were out of almost every beer we ordered from their menu. We were a large group and still managed to have an ok time. BUT two days later we noticed everyone in the party had their cards charged twice. Way to finish off an already disappointing experience! Drive shack is super fun and I love the aesthetic ! Modern and clean but also fun. There are multiple games to choose from and we were able to play 1 hour for 25 dollars with their promotion going on. Totally recommend going here with a group of friends great for a birthday or just fun night out. This actually peaked my interest in learning to play golf ! drove 40min to try this place out and could not be more disappointed! facility is a cheaper version of TopGolf Half shots didnt get registered even though they were within the lines so its super innacurate. Waitresses didnt care for us and i had to keep asking things over and over until they actually bring it right. Drink prices are SOOOO stupid expensive but the worst has to be the food. DRIVE SHACK IS A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! NOT WORTH THE MONEY! A group of six of us went one evening and all walked away discussing if it was worth the time and money! First BIG Rip Off - without explaining why, we are all charged for a membership card as soon as we walked in.... in hind site this is just a way to collect our contact info and charge us for it. The "membership" card was meaningless! Second disappointment - Food. We ordered several appetizers for the table - which our server bought out at different times and some, such as the flatbread/pizza, that arrived cold. Impression was they ran over to the local "Sams" club and bought some frozen "appy's" that they could serve quickly. Ok I get it, its a driving range, can't expect the best food - but the food quality and quantity was below par! Third issue - Music! Nice idea playing some music to "liven" the place up however it was so loud we were unable to communicate with each other. We asked our server if it could be turned down a little and she replied yes, "kind of loud isn't it?" It was never turned down, after asking her a few times we requested a manager or supervisor - who eventually showed up. We expressed our concern and he jokingly replied "this isn't a golf course - we don't have to be quiet!" ... and walked away. Our server stepped up and apologized and said I'll see what I can do..... Forth issue - the scoring and ball tracking system they use is very inconsistent. Final issue - restricted flight balls and cheap golf clubs to hit with were a real disappointment, for the money they charge, one would think they could put decent clubs out for use. Overall - this place is a great idea, but poorly run and operated. Definitely not worth the money.... doubt we will ever return. If you don't really care about golf and are just going for fun, this place is definitely worthwhile. The prices are the same as Top Golf and it'll probably be less crowded. The food and drinks were good, and the service was great. They also have a small arcade on the top floor. It's a little janky and not everything worked, but it was still kinda fun. If you're even remotely interested in actual golf or your ability to play it, go to Top Golf. The high speed cameras they use at Drive Shack are way less accurate than the microchips at Top Golf. Most of the time our scores were not representative of the actual shot. You're really just at any other driving range if the tracker doesn't work well. In general, Drive Shack didn't feel as polished as Top Golf. For party's and corporate rentals, this place beats out Top Golf by a mile because it's half the price. read more

We were really excited to try this place since it's right down the road from us. Cons: Unfortunately, the camera system they use for ball tracking was pretty inaccurate. I would say about 1/3 of my shots were tracked incorrectly. As a consequence, the scoring was inconsistent. The technology used at TopGolf is much more reliable and they offer an option to manually correct any discrepancies. The food was also awful, but hopefully this is just growing pains and that will be improved. Pros: On the upside, the service was really good and everyone working there seemed to be genuinely happy to be working there. The facility was also really clean/nice and we loved the open play skeeball and basketball games.
