Upon getting our Bay , their computer reset and nobody could restart it. During game play our Bay ran out of balls . We had to steal balls from other bays . Remember , time is money at these places , and none of our issues from their failures were met with any extra time to makeup for their technical issues. I'm giving two stars because the food is decent ( but takes a while) and the ball registers on the tracking tool like 80% ( up from previous times of 50%) . For someone who does not play golf I still enjoyed Drive Shack staff helped show us the ropes from doing the membership to selecting the right came for beginners. We ate dinner before going next time we will go to eat and play! Only reason there is not a five star it would have been nice to receive some sort of tutorial of the game options, etc. Staff was helpful but couldn't spend as much time being that the had to serve other lanes as well. So my recommendation would be to have a floating staff available to check in on first time attendees this special touch will make a huge difference. read more

Fun place with friendly staff until it comes to time to order food. Our server was slow, did not get order right, and rolled his eyes when he asked me how the food was and I told him I did not like it. The nachos seemed skimpy but mostly the cheese was cold like they poured it right out of a jar. The pretzels were good. Lamb sliders were ok but boring. Meat flatbread was good. The burger with pimento cheese was ok but the chips that came with it were so hard and stale tasting. Doubt I would ever go there with dinner in mind. Golf is fun but hot! I really wanted to love this place. We are big fans of their competitors and i like the virtual reality piece of Drive Shack. But, the service is an absolute disaster. I would understand if it had just opened, but it's almost 2 months old. The good: - The games are cool - Food is really good and lots of variety - The people are very nice The bad: - The check in process was disorganized. There were tons of people standing in what we thought was the line only to find out after asking that the line was on the side. Not sure why the staff didn't tell the 20 people in front of them. When we did make it to the front, it takes a long time for just a name and phone number. The printer wasn't working so they couldn't give us our cards. -We got to our bay and NO ONE helped us at all. I figured out how to get it started. I pressed on the button to have service and again no one came for a long time. I ended up going to the bar and the bartender had to try and find someone. - They didn't bring our kids clubs for 25 minutes into our time so our son had to play with clubs that were too long. - i noticed a lot of the bays weren't working at all Overall, the concept is cool and the food is good, but they really need to get the service fixed. Went their for a birthday party which they had three bays reserved. We were early so we all went to the bar on the second floor for drinks. This seemed very taxing cause they had one bartender and he was the slowest in serving and preparing drinks. Not very motivated. Went to our assigned bays when they were ready. Appetizers were ordered and the food was good. The server started good and took drinks but after that she disappeared for the remaining time and showed up maybe every half hour and took drink orders and I believe that they would go to 7-11 for the drinks. It took for ever to get a beer. Most of the people ordered bucket of beer which they were warm beer in ice, so the ice melted quickly and no one was around to get more ice. After we finished golfing, which was a lot of fun and we enjoyed very much, we headed back to the bar. It was busier and that had more staff ( thank god) but that didn't seem to help. Took forever to get service. I paid for one beer with a twenty and had to ask the waitress for my change after about 20 minutes. Somehow I don't think she forgot. Love this place, been here a few times and enjoyed myself each time. The only thing that prevents us from coming back more often is the prices. While it's probably worth the experience the first time, paying those amounts each time you return just gets annoying. Not to mention all the food and drinks are excluded. For this reason, it's a 4 star for me... a five star means the value = the experience. After being here a few times, it's the same old thing... and the price loses its justification. Plus, not a big deal, but the tracking mechanism was wrong quite a few times. You would clearly hit the ball in a zone and the computer wouldn't recognize it. But back to the pricing issue, maybe drive shack cares, maybe they don't, but if did than perhaps considering a loyalty card that actually gets you discounts the more you attend so your not paying the same hard fees every time you go. You know, rewarding loyalty? IDK, it's their problem to solve, but for me... I'll probably return in another year or so when I can build back up the excitement of going enough to justify the fee again. read more

We got a lounge area on the second floor and started playing immediately. Our server was great and very attentive. I really liked the games you can choose from: we played 21 (where the different targets have different card values) and S-H-A-C-K (think golfing version of the basketball game HOUSE). We went on Saturday night and they were very busy, and as Frederick told us very short staffed. While there were some bumps and bruises with service and things, they went out of their way to make up for it and I can still say that we had an awesome experience and will definitely be back. We arrived and there was an hour and half wait for a bay, so we went to the bar area and ordered some drinks and appetizers. The pretzel sticks were SO good, the nacho were good but needed more toppings. We also ordered the queso and I was a little underwhelmed there, so I would not order that again. When we go to our bay, Kevin was our server and we ordered some more drinks and appetizers. The wings had good flavor and we got a charcuterie board as well, which was very good. Watching paint dry sounds more appealing. Then came along drive shack / top golf. This changed the game and Drive Shack owned it. They offer a wide range of games that you can pick from, which makes golf fun for people like me - and likely converts those original golf lovers over too. This place is brand spanking new (upon review), has multiple games outside of golf, a modern bar, and incredible food. The prices seem a bit steep but in comparison, they are not that bad at all. where should I start? We will start with customer service and trying to arrange a party event. Called multiple times no answer no call backs no response. This was after I showed up and was told the planner was there but do not have time to speak with me. The party I was trying to host was 21 people. The Golf looked great but unfortunately we never made it to the bay The bar staff were very unfriendly and acted as though we were putting them out. 4 people standing around with customers waiting and very dirty tables with half eaten chicken while no less than 7 employees walked past them.. We had to ask 3 times for a drink even though we were the only 2 people at the bar. Finally had to beg for it, to get it and then was ignored for 40 minutes with empty drinks in front of us. For our son's birthday he wanted to try Drive Shack. Such a good idea!! From the minute we walked in everyone was so friendly! When you golf there are different options to choose from. You can play games (blackjack, beat the monsters, and save the dragon). Or you can play different golf courses or just practice. We had a blast trying to beat the dealer, and each other, at Shack Jack. An added bonus was that on the right day the planes right over you as they land. We ordered nachos and they were really good. This place is so fun! I'm not much of a golfer (actually I'm not a golfer at all) but I had such a great time! My family and I rented out two bays for my stepdad's birthday and we had a group of about 10 of us. The place is set up like a driving range, but it's three stories tall. Imagine a building that is open on one side, facing the range. The inside has comfy couches and tables. You have a server who checks in often and brings you drinks and food. When it's your turn you grab a club, go up to the platform and take a shot! It's a virtual golf game so the computer screens show you where to shoot for and where your ball is. Their food was pretty good also. We had a great time and will definitely be back! read more
