I am 29 years old and have never driven a car before. In America, all people drive so it was a new challenge for me. I couldn't imagine that I can drive by myself. But I knew that I didn't have any other option. I found the company driversed.com. I passed the driving theory without any mistakes. I feared to drive the most. I had a great fear of speed and cars around me. But my instructor Long Truong eased all my fears. He gave me great confidence. He is very attentive, kind, and careful. He easily determined my weaknesses and worked on them as long as we needed. He challenged me, yet made me feel comfortable with every lesson. Long Truong encourages me and gives me confidence. Sometimes he makes jokes to relax me and always lets me know my mistakes so after a lesson I can practice. I like to drive now. It is fun and now I no longer have any fear. I purchased the premium package of behind the wheel instruction for my son. The description online and from the person on the phone sounded like the experience I wanted my son to get. I work fulltime and there were times my son left before I got home, and when he would get home, he'd be dropped off and the instructor was long gone before I even knew it. I paid for a 10 hour course. I thought at the very least at the end I would get a summary of how he did, what he needs to work on, etc. I got nothing. I have no clue as to what he did or how he did ("we drove" "i did good" "it was fine" typical teenager speak). I had to remind the scheduler that he needed to book at least one night driving lesson as that was what they would supposedly be learning with the extended lessons. Had I known that I would get no summary, no advice, no interaction at all from the instructor, I would have saved my money and gone with a cheaper place to fill the minimum state requirement. This review is for behind the wheel training portion of this company. Let me start by saying the company does not maintain it's website and the parent accounts are always inoperable. When you schedule a day for actual driver training the company calls up and changes the agreed upon day but not with you , they instead switch the dates with your child. Also took my child's payment for services without even scheduling a day of driver training. Phone operators ranged from extremely rude that talk while you are talking to completely uneducated. A very simple concept would be to take a payment and deliver what was agreed upon. This is something way beyond Driversed.com's capabilities apparently. Save your money because there are other driver training sites and firms that actually value your business and are not rude and full of excuses. We paid online for a set of lessons, and then discovered when we went to book the lessons that they had only two driving lesson appointments available in the next month, both on weekdays in the mornings, which did not work for our daughter's school schedule. I took three classes with instructor Long and he was just amazing. I passed my driving test at the first go and I know I couldn't have done it without him. I had never even sat in the drivers seat before and in just three days, I was so confident and comfortable behind the driver's seat. I would definitely recommend him for driving lessons!! read more

We signed up for this service in Atlanta for our son. His first driving instructor was good and he had a very positive experience. His second instructor was very strange and I was not very comfortable sending him off for a lesson. However, he had his lesson and, when he returned, the instructor told us to cancel our 3rd lesson since he was not ready for highway driving. I cancelled and rescheduled for a couple months later. However, the customer service has insisted that we pay a $50 cancellation fee and the customer service agents have been very unhelpful in resolving the issue. We were also displeased with the excessive phone calls and voicemails to me and my son requesting a third lesson to be scheduled when we had been told to delay the lesson. In all, the customer service is poor, it's difficult to get a person on the phone who can assist (long wait times) and we have not been impressed with the quality of the instructors. We will use a different service next time. read more

Long T. is an extraordinary driving instructor. He trained both of my children. Three years ago, my first son happened to be scheduled with 3 different instructors, and he failed the driving test the first two times. Due to busy junior year of high school with lots of SAT, ACT, SAT subject tests, AP classes, he needed to get this third time of driving test out of his busy schedule, we signed up with DiversEd one more session, he was lucky to have Long T. to train him. And he passed the test this third time. Long was very professional, calm and clear in giving instruction and direction to the student. That helps the students feel natural, calm and confident while driving. Experienced from the first son, I requested DiversEd to schedule Long T. right away for all of three sessions of driving training for my second son. And he passed right the first time. I am so happy because Long have saved my son a lot of time during this junior year so that he can focus with all the tests for college preparation. And he is so proud to have driver license when he is just 16 years old. So grateful ! read more

This course is not for the average Joe. It has 20 minute movies at the end of the modules. It asks one question related to the law of physics or statistics. I was stuck at watching the first movie in module 1 three times...maybe four. I immediately sent an email to request a refund knowing that going this route, the course will take 20 hours to complete. I did not receive a response and decided to continue with the course. I am now watching a 21 minute movie for the third time due to failing the one question quizzes. This module focuses on physics...kinetics, inertia, centrifugal force, motion, formulas etc. Do yourself a favor and take a course that it relevant to everyday folks and common sense approaches to driving. It is abusive to have 1 question quizzes and require you to complete the module from the beginning i f you get the answer incorrect out of sheer boredom from the course presentation. read more

I find that calling to make appointments requires very long waiting times, and often after waiting for an extended period, the phone system requires you to leave a message. The first instructor my daughter had was utilizing her cell phone during the lesson; I complained and the company gave me another lesson. All instructors except the last one arrived late, though they call to tell you they are running late. I had the same experience when my son went through this. The best experience we had was with the last instructor, Sharon Chadwick, who was very knowledgeable, had very good interpersonal skills with both my daughter and me, who arrived on time and checked in with me at the end, and who covered everything we discussed. My daughter was very pleased with Sharon's instruction; we only wish she had been the instructor every time. read more

It was very pleasant to take lessons with Long: he is very attentive, polite and friendly. He provided a lot of useful comments, he noticed my mistakes and weak points, analyzed them, explained how I can perform better and made me repeat the same maneuver until it became better. He also trained my attention and scanning skills as we approached intersections and he explained why I should make things the way I should (e.g. keep closer to the curb before making the right turn, where I should stop when I'm going to make a left turn, when I should start turning, etc...). His boss, Mai, is helpful and accommodative with scheduling the lessons. And their Minis are easy and fun to drive. read more

Do not sign up for the in car driving course. There is not enough appointment for a driving lesson at a close convenient location close to you. They are booked up weeks out and can take you over a month to finish just 7 in car driving lessons. They also cancel on you several time we had a total of four lesson cancellation. We also had an observation lesson with a driving lesson one student cancel so we had to make up just a one hour observation lesson at another day. The instructor did not close out the lesson in a timely manner and the certificate was not mailed on time. Even though we pay extra overnight to have the certificate mailed to us. We are unable to take the driving test that was scheduled because they are unable to mail the certificate and will not be willing to reach out to the instructor to close out the lesson. Go with another driving School. Driver Ed is too busy and will not have time to give you good customer service. Terrible! read more

I took the Adult Driver's Ed online course, and while it was informative, easy to pass, and the best priced Adult Driver's Ed option for my area (IL), the only downside was that the various animations in the online course do not work on any mobile devices and are not able to be skipped. I wasn't aware of this when I bought this and it caused the length of time it took for me to finish the course to get quite near the completion due date for the course (since I didn't own a desktop computer and was forced to finish the course on a borrowed laptop). Just a warning if you do not have regular access to a desktop like me. Also, the little movies in it are dated but thats just a nickpicky detail. All in all, great price for great value. read more

Both were exceptional, always on time and very patient during the driving instructions. I also contacted Long to add on an extra driving lesson just before my daughter took her road test and she got a perfect score because we did. I believe this site is set up to take as much money from your test as possible. I seriously think this site fails your test on purpose. Have you noticed that when you take the official test on their site, they do not provide the correct answers after you fail. There is no way to check what you answered wrong!! So how do I know if I failed it and on what questions? All it gives you is a percentage (my son failed 1% - he needed 75% and the score was 74%!! How is that even possible with 20 questions? If 20 questions are 100%, missing one would give you a reduction of 5% on the test score so how could he get 74%??? If he had 6 wrong, it would be 70% and 5 wrong 75%. I SMELL A RAT! Also, the practice test questions are a lot easier than the actual test. The practice test also actually will show you what you answered wrong. STEER CLEAR I ADVISE AND GO TO THE DMV - I WILL NOT LET MY TEEN RETAKE A SECOND TEST WITH THEM. read more

I have been driving for 40 years and have taken traffic school 4 times now. (OK, I still get speeding tickets every so often) once a traditional class, once in a comedy class, once online in a basic test type class, and once with DriversEd. The online DriversEd is 5 star! I received much more value than the older type classes. I was also impressed because I was taught not just the laws but common sense, courtesy, and safety! A lot of this information I received from parents & friends and never in the classes. I am glad to see it is in the classes now. The web playable format was well done, fast (I have broad band), allowed self-paced, and exit/return as needed. This was never provided in my previous classes before. To tell you the truth I was very surprised that a government agency provided this good of a service. Thanks to DriversEd and Santa Clara County from a citizen and taxpayer. I had a couple of bugs that I reported, but not that big a deal. I read the one star reviews and was surprized. Yes, you can't snore thru this class, isn't that the point! Yes, the mini cooper can be improved, but I also jumped past the repeated loading and maybe the repeated intro to the different drivers was meant to make people identify with other drivers - empathy for other drivers maybe?
