The Homie selected 3 whiskeys & 3 liqueurs to sample. I selected all five whiskeys and the coffee liqueur. While we sat outside for our tasting, we also saw a deer and osprey. I ended up buying a 375 mL bottle of the Rhubarb Elderberry liqueur to take home. The Homie and a friend also visited today (3/20/25) and purchased some gin for a family member. Approachable and no upsell pressure experienced, one can make a fairly educated choice and purchase.

We were bummed to see that we were a week too early for the fall whiskey festival, but reached out to see if we could stop in for a tasting. Bev, one of the owners, arranged a private tasting for us and we were blown away! Her spirits are exquisite and there is something that will appeal to everyone's palate. Don't sleep on the cocktails - the Old Fashioned flight was delicious and so much fun! Bev pairs her distiller's knowledge with a deep appreciation for the history of the region and the distillery's namesake. Ask her for the story of Ewing Young, then sit back and enjoy her telling it. Throw in an absurdly bucolic setting and you've got the recipe for a perfect day!!

However, I highly recommend doing them separate! If you do the spirit tasting at the cottage, you're able to choose 3 spirits and 2 cocktails to taste. Not to mention the cottage is a cozy speakesy-esque vibe. If you do the spirit tasting in the winery, you're only able to taste 5 spirits rather than the cocktail option.

It's a cozy and small space. You must make reservations because there are only a few tables and a bar. You can choose one of two tastings, Clear Spirits Flight or Mixed Spirits Flight. I believe my entire party went for the Clear Flight, mixture of gin and vodka tastings. Then, you get to choose 2 mini cocktails. The matcha Martini was fun and yummy. I was given the recipe card so I will attempt to make this interesting cocktail.
