High hopes going in, the menu looked fantastic. The experience was much different. The waitresses were short, curt, and seemed perturbed to have to do the very basics of their job. The mimosa... well the orange juice was good, couldn't find the champagne though. The Mi Casa was decent. Onto the food. They can't poach an egg for their lives, which happen to be included on at least 2 menu items. When I mentioned my egg was closer to hard boiled than poached, I wasn't apologized to, not even the slightest sorry. Just a smug, dirty, look. After 5 minutes of waiting for new "poached" eggs for the crab cake Benny it was pretty damn good. Horrible service, weak drinks, meh food. Place won't be here long. Honestly the best brunch I have ever had! We got seated at the bar immediately and were served our drinks within minutes. I loved the atmosphere and when we were ready to order our food arrived not long after. I went with the eggs Benedict over crab cakes and wow. Menu here is a bit pricy and that would have been Okay if what I had was overwhelmingly great. It was just Ok. Not bad. Brunch hours on weekends can get a little crazy busy. I think they could use more staff on weekend. It took a while to clean our table - close to 10 mins after we got seated. Food took about 45 mins but we did not mind. We were busy chatting and socializing. I understand busy weekend and how loaded kitchen can get. I think I heard compliments on flatbreads particularly. I had the breakfast bowl and while it was hearty, fresh and warm, flavor was missing something I could not quite nail. It was Okay. If I come back here again with a group of friends I'll definitely skip it try something else. I could not get my head around some of the appetizer prices on the menu. Fried Avocado fries for $11. You get maybe dozen fries. Ahh.... Ok. Not my thing. Parking is little tricky but I think the rear open lot should be fine on weekends. Not sure about other times. Been wanting to try this place for awhile and today finally made it there. I have to say I was not impressed. My Bloody Mary was probably one of the worst I've had... not even any garnish with it . Went to this place after a coworker suggested the chicken and waffles, and sounds like we had completely different experiences. Service: after we sat down, it took about 10 minutes before a waiter came to our table. Was surprising considering there were a few just chatting near the bar and not very many customers there. When he got to us, he just threw waters on the table and walked away, then came back with some straws and just goes "if you want them." Was surprising how rude it seemed, kinda reminded me of being at Dick's Last Resort (not a compliment for any normal restaurant). Food: chicken and waffles were just ok. Nothing amazing. My friend got the avacado Benedict, which was just not good. The egg wasn't poached all the way, leaving a strong raw egg aftertaste and the hollandaise sauce was all over the place and tasted like straight up mayonnaise. Other friend's taco was falling apart in 2 minutes. Drinks: best part of the place. Drinks were all tasty, but a little over priced. I would only recommend this place for an after brunch or afternoon drink spot on the weekends. So I know there are some bad reviews of this place, but my personal experience was great! I went with my husband one day through the week when we both had a day off. We sat at the bar and the bartender was as nice as could be. She made a couple suggestions as well. I went with the Bavarian pretzel and had no idea how much food it would be. Two people could share this. It was amazing though. I would totally order it again. I like the space, the menu, the service, and there's a parking lot so I'm not sure what the negatives are all about. I'd recommend trying it! read more

My first time here, came about an hour before closing. Checked the website to see if there were any "limitations" for eating such as reservations, recommendations etc. and there was nothing. We came and got turned away saying they were not taking ANY more patrons. It's understandable due to circumstances, but your website should be updated to reflect this. So the overall general rating for this place is a solid 3. Yelp got it right this time. Reviewers spot on. Those few raving 5 stars are either extra enthused or just a bit delusional. Neither is bad. It happens. This place is Ok if you are meeting bunch of friends for a weekend brunch or breakfast and don't mind the clusterf**k, slow service, and mediocre food because well, you're busy enjoying your friends' company anyway. Slow service, and understaffed seemingly. Or maybe lack of training for the young staff. I have no idea, but it took 20 mins to clean/wipe out a dirty old plates filled part of our big table. One server spilled coffee cup as soon as they placed it on the table. No problem. Accidents happen. Food took about 45 mins to come out but I personally did not mind. The presentation is nice but pretty average. Some lacked flavors. Add to that the overpriced menu overall. $11 for fried avocado fries appetizer? for all 10 of them. So each tiny piece of them is a buck lol. I wish they tasted good. As our group was big we had a chance to try pretty much everything. Flatbreads took a slightly better feedback. For some reason it was also 4 dollars more than the general bloody Mary, a sad surprise when we got the bill. Awesome bloody Mary though, well crafted blend of spices and juice. Peppered rim is a fine touch. The orange juice was horrible, I think it had turned. My husband went to the restroom and I got up to get a newspaper, by the time I came back they were clearing our table. Um ok... That was weird. They apologized and luckily gave me a new orange juice that was fresh squeezed, normally only offered for mimosas. Ok... Just keep the crap OJ on hand. It was a pleasant turn of events to get the delightful fresh squeezed stuff. We got avacado fries because I thought they looked interested. That was a mistake. Breaded and fried avacado is not good, don't order that, it's a waste of $12 and an avacado. We waited 40 minutes for our entrees while the line for entry lengthened. My Bennie was good, husband's breakfast quesadilla was not. It was dry and we weren't expecting chorizo. The bill was over $50 and it just wasn't worth it. Currently waiting for our breakfast after 30 minutes. We began our brunch with the Bloody Mary bar which is overpriced and unexciting. There aren't many garnishes to choose from and no spices besides hot sauce to make your bloody. After waiting to sit we immediately ordered our food (we had already looked at the menu). The waitress was very polite and checked in on us a few times which leads me to think it was the kitchen that was lacking. Service is friendly and I'm hoping that the food will be worth the wait. I usually don't mind the wait because I also am in the service industry but it seems like our time would have been well wasted elsewhere. I honestly wish my first experience was better. When I walked in there was a family of 3 waiting to be seated in front of me and they were talking confused as to whether they were to seat themselves or be seated because the sign posted said to wait but there was no hostess. I them heard who I assume was a server yell at the family from a table she stood at "the only place for you to sit is over there by the window" The tone in which she said this while standing at a table of customers was off-putting. I proceeded to wait for another 5 minutes at the door with zero acknowledgement of my presence until 2 young girls 2alked in and stood behind me, at which point the busser came over within 2 minutes and told the girls he would clear a table for them, completely ignoring my being there. They told him I was there first thankfully and so he showed me to a table nearby he had just finished cleaning. My friend joined me and we sat for 30 minutes without even seeing a server near the front end of the place! A kind couple beside us told us that we should go elsewhere becayse they had been there for an hour, had just gotten their food, and it was hardly worth the price on the menu nor the ridiculous wait considering the place wasn't even busy nor full - there were several open tables and nearly empty bar seating but the sign said wait to be seated with no hostess. Again, I find myself wishing that yelp would allow for half-star reviews, because I would honestly put this in the 3.5 category. It's good, but the place has a few issues that could be solved relatively easily. Amid all the other negative reviews here, I gotta say it sheds some light on the fact that people here occasionally have weird priorities in where they eat out. So, let's get the bad out of the way. This is a pet peeve of mine, but I have to say it: the tables stink. They're really wobbly and they don't have a whole lot of room on them. It's irritating because my preference is to rest my arms on the table (yes, I have bad manners), but it seems like this could be a bad thing where the selling point is "get drunk and eat." A restaurant full of boozed-up people with wobbly tables seems like a recipe for disaster. The menu does skew a bit toward the overpriced, at least depending on the item. The fries for example could drop in price by a few bucks and actually be a worthwhile deal. The coffee is way overpriced (and let's be honest, will always suffer in comparison with Fox in the Snow a stone's throw away). I paid $15 for the chicken and waffles though, and I gotta say, I felt like I got $15 worth of food. The drinks were expensive, but I don't really know a good restaurant in this city where the drinks aren't commensurately priced, and at least the strawberry mimosa was tasty (also, maybe they just added the mimosa, but the person who said they had none...I'm not sure where they got that from). How was the actual food? On balance, pretty good. The fried chicken was breaded well and the meat was nice and moist. I do question their decision to use tabasco sauce as the seasoning, because it's a really boring hot sauce and I mostly just tasted the vinegar as opposed to any background heat. A bit more work on the seasoning would round this out nicely. The waffle however was made the way I like, with batter that isn't too sweet, and it's nice and fluffy. The cheese was a good touch, making it a little bit more savory to contrast with the maple syrup. The menu is relatively small, it's true, but I don't necessarily see that as a drawback. Why is a restaurant better if it's got 70 items on the menu instead of 12? If you want something specific, you can always just go to another restaurant (or cook it yourself...). This could just be me, but I'd rather eat somewhere that does a few things really well rather than a bunch of things that are bland. I do find the focus on decor in other reviews to be kind of weird, frankly. Sure, the place has kind of an industrial thing going on, but it's not an art gallery. Do people really go out to eat because they care about what the restaurant looks like on the inside? I'd eat in somebody's backyard shed if the food they were serving was good. read more

Small menus, but enough...if it's made right...but pricey for the same things you could find in other places. We ordered 2 items and split the meals. - Carnivore Flatbread: Chicken confit, Chorizo, pickled red onion, Balsamic reduction, fresh mozzarella Flatbread was excellent, not much flavor on the chicken confit, most I tasted was the balsamic reduction sauce drizzled handsomely, but visually it looks good, and tasty. Toppings were generous and cooked well. For this flatbread the tag was $10, and it's worth the price. - BANANA BREAD FRENCH TOAST: Rosemary chocolate, whipped cream Yuckkkk...yuckkkk...yuckkkkkkkkk. Bread was stale (the artificial banana flavoring they added was over the top.....tasted as if someone sprayed a banana perfume in my mouth), oil/butter used on it smelled rancid, and the chocolate drizzle......blechhhhh.....funky odd flavor was added (I found out later from our server, the previous cook added rosemary to the chocolate...hmmm .....this place was open only for 1 month and they aldy hv a "previous cook"????? And how old this melted chocolate again???). Syrup was warm, runny and tasted ok....but by this time, my palette was ruined. The $11 french toast is absolutely not worth it, not even free. The balsamic dressing does not pair well with meat. The coffee was served in a tiny 6 oz cup. The food is way over priced. Was very disappointed. As a person that goes to brunch frequently I pretty found this place to be a scam with no real authenticity. It was not comforting or contemporary. This place will make money because of its name and no other reason. I highly advise not wasting your time here. New... unfortunately is the only non-negative word I can think of with my visit to Drunch a few weeks after it opened. Cool name, decent sized space? Yeah, that's it. This food and experience was SO bad, we literally ate another lunch at Hoof Hearted 15 minutes later to wipe away the lingering flavors sabotaging my taste buds and horrible experience. *Food* The menu is nothing short of bizarre. I settled on the only item I thought I could like. Avacado fries, two straightforward concepts combined into an atrocious, small portioned, overpriced appetizer. Pure quality was maybe 3/5, but all things considered, the takeaway was 1/5. My friend ordered an entrée, I can't remember what it was but it was another bizarre combination, poorly executed... he didn't finish 75% of it and definitely did not request a box. A refund would've been more appropriate. Props for trying new ideas, but with no traditional options like I don't know, a burger (a novel concept) or grilled cheese (modern, complex cuisine), you're limiting sales. *Environment* It's almost as if they googled "top 5 trends in city bars" and tried to spend the least amount of money with each trend possible. The theme must be "intoxicated upon entry" for anything to make cohesive sense. There's two arcade games and a random assortment of sparse pieces across the walls baron white walls. If this was a soft opening they must've hit a hard reality. *Staff* The bar staff was odd. After accidentally spilling my water, a staff member made an oddball comment... which OK I get it everyone might say something that they thought would come out differently. Whatever. But then took 10 minutes to only throw a few napkins on the mess! Where did they find these people, Craigslist? Canada? Our waiter made eye contact with me once, when I ordered. There were none, sausage was flavorless (I even asked if it was veggie because it looked and tasted just different), overcooked eggs. None of my 3 other friends really liked their meals either. I told the waitress they forgot some ingredients in mine and that it wasn't very good. She didn't say much yet still charged us the $15 for it. I think kitchen just needs some more work. Not impressed. My sister and I decided to go to Drunch for a late lunch/brunch around 2 pm. When we arrived, we were the third group on the waiting list, but even though there were three groups waiting, there were four empty tables that hadn't been bussed. I'm not sure if they don't hire people to bus tables or what, but we had to wait while the hostess and waitresses cleaned the tables. And they didn't have bus tubs, so it took forever for the tables to be cleaned because they could only carry a few things at once. Management needs to get it together and hire people to bus tables (or at least purchase bus bins!). So we waited...and waited...and waited - 23 minutes to be exact - for a table even though there were plenty of tables available. (We weighed our option of going somewhere else but figured it wouldn't take as long as it did - and also figured that it would take longer to leave and go somewhere else.) The Whoanuts were excellent, but the rest of the food and mimosas were just okay - nothing special - and it was overpriced. Our waitress was nice, but she was spacey. There are plenty of other eateries in Columbus. Find one and go there instead. read more

This restaurant/bar was very clean. Got recognized soon as we walked in. It's seat yourself. I love the fact it's geared to all ages. But beware it's all high top tables. But they do offer high chairs ( for babies). Servers and even bartenders were very friendly and got food out at an irate speed. Food was amazing and given in big portions definitely wasn't hungry for a couple hours. Also drinks were a little on the expensive side but worth it. Specially the buckeye booze was great. Also it said it was served over home fries and when I looked underneath it was just 5 or 6 chunks of potato that were soggy from sitting under the frittata. Food is over priced and not good enough to justify how expensive it is. I got pancakes and they were stack of three the first one was fine but they bottom two were completely burnt. One of my party had her order messed up and then the waitress took 15 minutes to fix the error and then didn't offer any kind of apology or compensation. Go at quarter til or quarter after and there's less line. Parking is a bear(next to Fox in the Snow) but parking in the back lot is usually free. Communal table is rubbish, packed with people and narrow table where your plate is touching a neighbor (make a friend!) so if your convo is a secret, choose to wait for a bar/table spot. read more
