I've been here once before and was impressed however my most recent visit i was not to satisfied with the food. The crawfish was not so good this visit and the wings were not either. And the customer service could've been a lot better. I will possibly give them another chance in the future..... maybe because of the eggrolls and boudin balls

Quick stop for oysters, always great fresh or grilled. Spicy edamame was a nice addition.

The food was heavenly. The service was perfect. The ambience is very "hole in the wall" & random. I will be back ASAP.

HANGING WITH THE SISTERS 07/15/2023 Recently, I visited this establishment on a lunch outing with my oldest and youngest sisters. I'm the middle sister of course. The three of us had an amazing time as we talked and talked for hours while enjoying the delicious and flavorful cuisine provided by this establishment. This was my first visit and my youngest sister's idea to come here. Firstly, I arrived on the scene about an hour ahead of my sisters because they were still at the nail salon getting beautified and pampered. When I entered the doors, I was not greeted by anyone. I found this to be a bit odd seeing that there were three female workers behind the counter moving around. As I approached the counter I still wasn't greeted by anyone. One of them walked right past me as I said, "Excuse me miss," repeatedly. However, she continued to strut her little self right past me as if she did not hear me, lol. Okay cool. No problem. I will try to speak to another worker. Fortunately, the other worker, whose name that I forgot, finally acknowledged my presence. I told her that it was my first time visiting their establishment and if she could explain the ordering process because I wasn't sure if I was supposed to have a seat and someone would come over to take my order or if I should walk up to the counter and order and then have a seat. Well, she explained that when you walk in, you place your order at the counter with them, then you find a seat, and next someone will bring your order out to you. She also informed me that I could open a tab or just pay my bill. Since I was going to be waiting for an hour or so for my sisters to arrive, I decided to open a tab. I ordered plain wings and fries with lemon pepper sauce on the side and a frozen Watermelon Lemon Margarita. The wings and fries were piping hot, fresh, and delicious! I was shocked by how good it all tasted. The fries were seasoned but not overly seasoned which is something I can appreciate. The Margarita wasn't the best I've ever had but the flavor was good. It wasn't strong at all and I could barely taste the liquor. I just don't understand why these establishments charge so much money for a glass of flavorful ice with a pinch of liquor as if they're fooling people. Unfortunately, I did not order another Margarita because it wasn't worthy. Secondly, after my sisters arrived we all made our way to the counter to place our orders. I ordered fried catfish, fried oysters, and fried shrimp, with a side of shrimp fried rice. My oldest sister ordered fried fish and shrimp with fries and coleslaw. My youngest sister ordered fried catfish and shrimp with shrimp fried rice. We all enjoyed our food across the table. I ate so much that I hurt myself. Yes I committed a sin! Just call me Gluttony! The shrimp fried rice was full of flavorful deliciousness! The fried fish, shrimp, and oysters all tasted flavorful and not too salty. The only complaint I have is that the batter falls completely apart whenever you take a bite, which is kind of annoying. This could be a result of the seafood being cooked too fast. Although it was fully cooked, it seems like they are frying it too hard and fast which is why the batter is not sticking. My oldest sister loves coleslaw and said that theirs isn't the best. She said it was just okay, but edible. In her humble opinion, Pappas BBQ here in Texas, has the best coleslaw that she has ever eaten, and no other food vendor has come close to even competing with it. Overall, we had a great time eating and enjoying one another's company. Although customer service didn't start off too great, it ended up being a hit in the end. Luckily for them, they got it together, because I tip according to how well you serve and treat me as a paying customer. The restaurant is very spacious which is great for families and friends to gather. Although the building seems to be outdated, the dining area was clean and presented in an immaculate and spotless state. I did not witness food crumbs underneath the tables or in the chairs. Kudos to them for that. Cleanliness is everything to me, because CLEANLINESS IS NEXT TO GODLINESS! I can definitely see myself in the future making another trip to the Spring area to patronize this business again, especially for their shrimp fried rice alone, which was a big HIT in my opinion! I highly recommend it, if you can get past the unprofessional staff working behind the counter that do not greet or welcome their customers. I just don't get how they have this delicious food at this establishment but very poor customer service skills, lol. Okay I'm done!

I highly recommend the spicy flavor. Everything is fresh, tasty, and well-seasoned. The restaurant has a lively and casual atmosphere that makes it a great spot for family dinners. We were seated at immediately, but after sitting for a few minutes with no greeting, I realized something wasn't right. I had to walk back to the hostess stand to let them know we hadn't been assigned a server. Turns out, we were seated in a section that didn't even have a server until 5:00 PM. That's not a small oversight--that's a breakdown in communication at the front. Now, to their credit, once our server stepped in, things started to turn around. Drinks came out quickly. I ordered my usual Long Island, and I loved that it was served in a branded mason jar--cute touch, definitely added to the vibe. (Still wondering if I was supposed to keep it or not ) We started with appetizers: The crawfish pistolet was the standout. Flavorful, rich, and honestly the best thing we had. My only complaint is they needed a little more bread to balance all that filling. The fried green tomatoes were cooked well and the portion was generous (almost two whole tomatoes), but they were under-seasoned. I had to add salt and rely on the sauce to bring them to life. Now let's talk about the menu--it's huge. We're talking seafood, burgers, fried chicken, boils, ceviche... everything but the kitchen sink. And while options are nice, it does make you question how fresh everything really is when a restaurant is trying to do that much. Overall, this place felt like it was trying to recover from a rough start--and partially succeeded. There are definitely some highlights (that pistolet!), but also some inconsistency that keeps it from being a full win. Final verdict: 3.5-4 stars. Come for the seafood favorites, but they've got some tightening up to do on service flow and seasoning.

It's easy to understand why people love it so much. In a sea of sameness with so many restaurants around Houston, Sea and Lemon stands out as a bit different. Especially when you consider how many Mexican restaurants there are in the region. Pappasito's it is not. We started off with the shrimp queso fundido, and this was really enjoyable, it was just hard to eat with the small chips. And the small chips were super tasty by the way, but it was nearly impossible to properly scoop a shrimp onto one of those things. 4-stars. I am a big fan of tomato based ceviche and not big on citrus ceviche. I asked our server if any were purely tomato based, but she said all of them are a combination. I opted for the "dual catch" and added octopus. It hit the spot, but I still prefer what can be found at Ceviche Ria. That being said, this was still enjoyable. 4-stars. We ordered a carne asada quesadilla for our son, mostly because we wanted to try it ourselves. And let me tell you, it was perfect. I would have been happy if this was the only thing I ate here. 5-stars. And then we went taco crazy. I'll start with the lower tier and work my way up: Zarandeado Fish Taco: Perfectly fine but a bit bland. I would not need to order again. 3.5-stars. Fish Al Pastor Taco: Ditto to above, but the red sauce it was served with took it up a notch. 4-stars. Zarandeado Shrimp Taco: Loved it. The smokiness. The flavor. I could eat this every day and not get tired of it. 5-stars. Pacific Shrimp Taco: Neck and neck with the zarandeado shrimp and the quesadilla for my favorite item of the meal. This was messy (sorry our table probably took 10 minutes to clean when we left), but every bite was great. It was almost like a hybrid of an omelet and a taco the way the onions and peppers were mixed in. We had an awesome server too. Her name escapes me but she was a really pleasant girl in her 20's. Again, sorry for the mess we left. Sharing overstuffed tacos is no easy task! We live about 30 minutes away, but I will happily be back in the future!

They also bring out tastings of their non-alcoholic Crafted Refreshers: Signature Horchata, Piña Colada, Horchata Cappuccino, and Horchata Coconut. All were light, flavorful, and delicious. Unfortunately, they were out of the mojito -- the one I was most excited to try. We shared the 3 Shrimp Ceviche and the Grilled Beet Ceviche. The shrimp ceviche was wonderful -- bright and refreshing. We added a bit more lime for extra tang, though some may prefer it less tart. One small suggestion would be to cut the pieces slightly smaller so they stay on the chips more easily. The Grilled Beet Ceviche was unexpectedly dessert-like -- sweet, refreshing, and the perfect follow-up to the shrimp. Service was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and happy to answer questions, while keeping drinks and chips refilled promptly. For a new restaurant, this place truly impressed. My only suggestions would be to provide a bit more chips with the salsa and to cut the ceviche pieces slightly smaller for easier eating. Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely worth a visit.

While walking in we were greeted today. Employees seemed highly concerned as they were all discussing they have not been paid and the owner was dodging them. Which is unfair to work for free. We ordered the #1 seafood platter and a fish plate. I also ordered extra corn and eggs but did not receive the extra items that were paid for. The foil pan was full of a lot of butter and oil! It was a family reunion of potatoes and not enough seafood in the platter. Very low on the shrimp! It's supposed to come with 20 but it wasn't. We chose Garlic Jalapeño for the seasoning but we did not taste any of it on the food. It was like butter mixed with salt, pepper, and sugar. The butter as well with a sprinkle of garlic seasoning. For the price and size of the pan the quality should be way better. The environment of the restaurant is ok. It's kind of dark on the inside you would think it's closed. I think opening the windows and taking care of employees can do the job. Will I be retuning? To be honest not sure.
