My friend referred me to DRUSTAR & I read all the glowing reviews so I decided to call & set up an appointment as my hot water heater needed its annual flushing. I called and Stanley promptly responded. We set up a time. He arrived as promised, checked the water heater, components etc. & flushed it. Everything went smoothly and only took about an hour. I wish I had known about Stanley and his wonderful company about a month ago when I had a huge leak in my kitchen. I had to wait 2 days for the plumber to come through AHS... I have to laugh when people with no knowlege about a situation decide that a fix is simple and then get furious with a fully licensed, bonded and insured professional when they are told that it is simple only if it is done slapdash and half-assed. Then they complain to the next guy they call to fix the mess.. Although I have a home warranty policy, if I have any issue AT all with plumbing, I call Stanley at Drustar. He is a Master Plumber, does meticulous work, explains as much as you want, is prompt, courteous and thoroughly professional. If you want it done once, correctly, I say call Drustar. In a week I was dealing with a number of crises, I had an upstairs sink pipe leak..badly! Had to turn off water at the street meter. It was a Friday. I made an hysterical call (voicemail) followed by several more urgent messages (phone & text & email). I have a home warranty so for plumbing issues I try to work through them. I've had this company out to my house before from my home warranty, basically batting clean up from another plumber through the home warranty so I was pleased that he got assigned to me for such a simple job because I knew he would do it right and professionally. NOT SO MUCH!! It was a simple matter of changing out a trim kit because of a defective diverter on the spout and they no longer made the existing finish so it had to be an entire new set although he wanted to put a non-matching diverter on the existing.I wasn't having that and since it's Moen and I'm the original owner, replacements are free for life as long as. I told him that I would phone Moen and let him know when the new set came in and I did. During this phone conversation he told me that the pipe that the spout was attached to was severely bent and that he needed to go through the wall behind the shower and it was going to be an additional $180 out of my pocket, not to mention what it would cost me to put the wall and the texture and the paint back. Completely fabricated story to make $$ off me because we recently had the stall tile redone and he told me the tile guy must have done it. I guess he thought that I would never see the pipe?!? Because I wouldn't let him do this extra work that he so wanted to do he declined the contract and that just became one bad experience after the other with more plumbers which has nothing to do with this review so I'm not going into it. I wouldn't trust this company ever again and I don't suggest that you do in the first place! I do not recommend them. I can't begin to work with anyone that would lie to me. Stanley is a man with character and talent. I have used his services five times ad every time found his price reasonable and quality superb. Today he fixed downstairs bathroom link and then discover my upstair toilet bowl had a tiny crack that was linking water. He showed me Home Depot price and I agreed he purchase the product and then said he was able to get it $25 cheaper and instead of pocketing the differences he reduce his price. I frantically contacted Stanley after hours on a Friday evening and left a message. He immediately returned my call and set up an appointment for the following morning with my tenant. He communicated with both my tenant and me(while at the airport, boarding my flight) after locating the problem and determining the appropriate fix. Stanley is fantastic. I've used him in the past for a minor job. This time, he replaced my water heater and softener. I ordered the softener online at Home Depot the day I called him and he picked it up for me and brought it to my house the next day. For the water heater, he brought it the day after that and then did both installations in a few hours and gave me all the advice I needed to keep both running well. The pricing was very fair and his work was very fast and professional. I can't imagine a better plumber.
