I have brought my business to this specific location TWICE and the burned me TWICE. My mother dropped off her shirts the first time but I dropped off 3 blouses one for me and two for my mom (Alice Lee). Dry Clean Express completely ruined my mom's silk blouse and didn't even seem to touch the second blouse. Stains were still on both blouses and the worker behind the counter explained that they outsource their cleaning.. so is that mean you absolutely know NOTHING about where you out source your business? If I could leave no stars I would. I had to attend a funeral for a family member and needed my favorite white Tommy Bahama shirt cleaned. As if attending a funeral isn't stressful enough, my experience with this establishment was atrocious. When I got home I discovered that the shirt they gave me wasn't mine. Thinking it was a silly mix up I called the place and they admitted to me that they "lost" the shirt and there was no way they could locate it. Their solution was to deceive me by replacing it with a similar looking shirt with what looked like women's makeup stains on it! I also discovered that they don't even clean your clothes at their location; they outsource your clothes to other locations (what's the point of coming here if they're just going to send your clothes somewhere else?). What kind of place is dishonest upfront about losing or possibly ruining your shirt and tries to trick you by giving you a similar but tarnished looking shirt? My husband tried a dry cleaners close to Whole Foods Market down on Aliso Creek and said he spent an arm and a leg getting only a couple things laundered. Finding this place was dumb luck I guess! They are located by Massage Envy in the Stater Bros/Target shopping plaza, tucked away in the corner. The reviews show no love for this place....And it didn't scare me from coming in that's for sure. It's the closet cleaners to my house and they were reasonably priced to boot! I had my linen hoodie, dress and two shirts dry cleaned for $17 and some change. I overheard a gentleman asking how much it would cost to dry clean a suit- he was quoted $8.95. Deal! As a first timer, will ask you for details like your phone number and address. After you're in the system, I assume all they do is look you up by phone number. Also, you'll sign a waiver if there are any rips or tears in the clothing you bring in before they are turned in. Since the tag on my hoodie and my dress were already a little torn, I told the woman up front and she had me sign the waiver for liability purposes. Totally understandable. read more

Have no words to describe this absolute worst dry cleaning, customer service and attitude ever! Really mean to write a long review but it stresses me out to relive that experience. The manager is a lady names Rosio and has the worst attitude ever, rudest person I have ever met and has no idea of the business they are in. They quoted us a price on the phone to "fold" the sweaters instead of hanging them (higher price for folding) and when we got there to give our clothes on May 25, she did not honor the prices and said the person who gave us the quote on the phone was new and had no idea about folding! Then why do you have the person answering calls Rosio?? She took forever to figure out the total for our bill (that you have to prepay) and kept trying to charge us higher than what she had just quoted us. After much argument and pretty pathetic attitude from her, I agreed to give her the extra money instead of continuing to argue, so I could leave the negative energy shop! She gave us receipts with pick up date of May 27, 5 pm. When we went to pick up our clothes on the evening of May 27 (5 pm), there was a different lady (Anabel) at the front and gave us a part of the order and told us the others are not ready and asked to come back the next day. I asked why the clothes weren't ready on time and that we were leaving town early next morning for the long weekend, she bluntly said JUST BECAUSE THEY AREN'T READY in a very rude way. We asked her if we could talk to the manager and she said she isn't there. Upon insisting many times, she called her manager Rosio who started screaming at us from the get go. We asked her to calm down and demanded why the clothes weren't ready on the promised date and time per the receipt. Upon this, she told us that we didn't pay "next day service" so we won't get the clothes. We were shocked and told her she never mentioned anything about a next day service when we came to give our clothes and it wasn't the "next day" anyways (May 25-27 is 2 days). She kept arguing and upon asking repeatedly why the receipt shows May 27 delivery, she said she doesn't know and that its out of her hands because the clothes are dry cleaned somewhere else! We told her we didn't care where they get it done and that hey are responsible for my clothes as we paid them, and she said she isn't responsible. I asked her what can be done and her answer shocked us - She said she can't do anything as SHE JUST CAME OUT OF THE SHOWER! My wife and I just looked at each other as we couldn't believe how unprofessional she was, and it was so embarrassing for us. We gave up thinking we will pick up the rest of the clothes later and as we were driving back home, we got a call from her saying it was a mistake and they did actually have the sweaters ready! We just couldn't believe it! We turned back and got back to them and when they opened the "box" my wife's sweaters were in - WE COULDN'T BELIEVE OUR EYES! All the sweaters were pathetically folded and put together in a box as if someone would pack their belongings in a hurry during a fire. And guess what?? The sweaters didn't even look dry cleaned and on top of that, many of them had lint all over and some of them had gotten some other colors as if they were dipped in a different dye! My wife was in a shock as these were such expensive sweaters from Banana Republic, Nordstrom, Ann Taylor etc. We asked her how in the world can they screw up our clothes this bad and they said it's not their fault as they send the clothes SOMEWHERE ELSE!! OMG, really? Are you going to use this as an excuse to your customers? We were so stressed and tired of the entire ordeal that we just left. Guess who is never going to get business from us again? Not sure how/why this place is still open. Since just moving down the street the same week, thought I'd give it a try. Stopped in last Thursday afternoon. Noticed a few ugly hangers hanging from the door and a help wanted sign. No one to greet up front. Cool, I'll wait a minute or two. Surely the chime would have alerted someone and they're probably on their way up. It's all walled off unlike most places. So after two or so minutes I do an audible 'hello?'. No response. Peer around the door leading to the back... a bit horrified. The place looks like the roof is on its way down.. I hear faint television from somewhere in the back. Yell out 'hello!?!' a few more times in the direction of the back room. Nothing. I've now been there about 5 minutes. Unimpressed by the experience and upkeep, I left with my bag of clothes. read more

I've been using this place for years because of its low prices. From time to time my clothes would get damaged here (cracked buttons, discoloration of fabric, etc) but I tolerated it because of the low prices. The employees were friendly too. But what happened recently? All different employees, not a familiar face. Unfortunately the new employees are not friendly at all and the worst part is they're VERY SLOW and don't know what they're doing. The last time I was there a customer in front of me was initially charged $58 for an order that ultimately was $17. I know because I waited 10 minutes in line watching the employee struggle with the transaction. When I was finally up, it was clear the employee wasn't properly trained on the POS terminal and he struggled through my transaction too. I worried whether they would lose my garments but I went ahead. With only one person ahead of me when I arrived, I finally walked out the door after nearly 20 minutes with neither fast nor friendly service. Two days later I went to pick up my order because that's the day the employee confirmed my garments would be ready. Nope. Only half of my order was ready and I was told to return tomorrow for the rest of my items. It was the same guy so when I asked the employee why he told me the order would be ready that day after I asked specifically, he could only say it's not here and to come back tomorrow. I've lost confidence in this place. While none of my garments were lost I can see how that could easily happen here. Not sure if ownership has changed but clearly the capable employees are no longer here. Some of my clothes for important meetings are higher value items ($150+) and I simply cannot trust them with those. This place closes too early and it's not as convenient as the other local options. I arrived just before their 7 pm closing time on my last visit and at 6:56pm I saw the employee walk up to the front of the store to turn off the open sign and make a gesture to lock the front door until he saw me...I had called ten minutes earlier to tell him I was on my way (to pick up yesterday's delayed order) so he wouldn't lock up just before 7. Wow, I talked to him just a few minutes earlier and he was going to lock up and turn off the lights And leave me twisting in the wind. Customer service? Not. This guy was ready to "yabadabadoo!!!" Time to find a new dry cleaner. I'm willing to pay more at a quality, trustworthy place with capable and caring employees. Too bad but I must move on. read more

Horrible company--they do not deserve even 1 star. RUN! I brought my delicate cal king alpaca comforter which has a care tag that specifically states "dry clean, wash in cold water only, do not use dryer", I made these instructions VERY clear to the employee who accepted my comforter and reassured me my comforter was in good hands and they will follow instructions on the tag. I was also informed they send out their products for cleaning to a 3rd party. After waiting over the original quoted time (1 week), I received my comforter back damaged. Heat had been used and it shrunk--the tag clearly stated no heat was to be used. I brought this to their attention--and it was escalated to the owner. He does not have communication skills nor customer service skills, for that matter. He refused to accept any responsibility for damages caused by his company. I even put him into contact with the manufacturer so she could explain to him how heat elements caused damages. He told me he regretted accepting my comforter staying if he knew how delicate it was, he never would have taken it for only $20. He also stated to me the tag should never have read "dry clean" saying heating is used in dry cleaning and that the machine get hotter than drying machines do. When I informed him that his employee should have informed me of that fact so I could have had my comforter cleaned accordingly, he stated to me he DOES NOT educate his employees and that the people who do the actually cleaning DO NOT read the tags and just "throw them In the machines". Is this how our delicates are to be handled?? To this day he is continuing to refuse to accept liability--he is blaming it on the manufacturer for printing "dry clean" on their tag and is refusing to replace my comforter. I was forced to confront him in person at his Lake Forest location because after leaving him several (at least 4-5 phone calls/messages), he would not return any of my calls. It took over one month just to get my damaged comforter back. Shockingly, he told his employees that he was replacing my comforter so he lied as well because he refuses to do so to this day. He lost my business over a comforter (mistakes happen--all he had to do was replace my comforter, is that so much to ask?) And i hope this review serves as a warning to anyone planning to use him. I am informing ALL of my friends & family about this experience. Please do not suffer the way I did. The owner loves to boast about being "environmentaly friendly"...useless if he cannot be people friendly AND ruins your items. He was rude and very unprofessional during this whole incident. What comes around goes around!! Word of mouth truly is the best form of business.. This man does NOT stand behind his business or services--he does not take pride in what he does as the saying goes--actions speak louder than words. Thank God, after much unnecessary prolonged frustration, the owner/manufacturer of my comforter (Crescent moon duvets) replaced my comforter at her own expense telling me the happiness of her customers is more important to her--NOT the owner of dry clean express, who lacks the morals and standards to do what is right. Brought 6 new shirts in to get pressed. Got them back a week later and 2 of the 6 shirts had messed up collars. The plastic collar pin was melted in my 2 shirts as they didn't remove it when they pressed them. Shit happens. Reason for one star is the lack of customer service or their inability to make it right. Lady said they can "send it back" for rework not expedited or anything, and acted as if she was doing me a favor. Standard turn time, again. On top of that, In order for me to take the 4 shirts that are okay, I had to pay for the 6 total shirts including the damaged ones in order for me to take my undamaged clothes. The first and only time I brought my cleaning here my "Facconable" shirt was ruined as it came back shredded down the left side. THe first reaction of the clerk when I checked it before leaving the store was "you must have brought it in like this". He quickly backed off that statement but trying to collect from reputed owner David Powell has been a night mare and I'm going to have to sue him (I'm an attorney and still dislike having to do this but I put him on notice that if I did I would charge him $300 per hour in addition to the $180 value of the Nordstrom shirt as he is now clearly acting in bad faith by not paying for the shirt making me call or come by over 5 times already since the incident on or about May 2nd, 2014. Receipt number 385315. My witness Shelley S. was there and she called on my behalf on June 19th speaking to Jessica who promised Chas C. Powell, reputed owner, would be in touch. I spoke to " Tursten" ? on 7/7 at 7:45 pm and NOTHING happened; in fact he gave me Kymco Staffing's number as the owners and said to call him. Ha Ha! It's now nearly August (3 months later) and nothing so I guess I have no choice BUT TO TAKE THE OWNER TO THE CLEANERS IN COURT. wHAT an idiot as I gave him my card at the date of loss. Worst customer service. My cleaning was scheduled to be ready on Friday I stopped by on Saturday and was advised it would not be in until late that afternoon. Came back on Monday and now they say it won't be back until late tonight. I asked why they did not call me and was advised they have too many customers to call. After my experience today, I can certainly understand why there are so many bad comments regarding, Dry Clean Express. I normally go to, Sparkling Cleaners, to have my dress shirts laundered. I went to Sparkling Cleaners on Thursday, arriving at 6:55pm (they close at 7) but the guy decided to close early because when I got there, the place was dark, doors were locked, and the guy who closes, had just started up his car when I arrived at the front door of his shop. This left me in a difficult position to find another dry clears that was close enough for me to get there with just a few minutes remaining. I decided to try Dry Clean Express. That had to be the WORST MISTAKE EVER!! I brought my dress shirts in. The guy working the counter accepted them and said they will be ready by Saturday at 3pm, and informed me the store closes at 5pm. I did ask before leaving if they have their plant on sight because I've had bad luck with dry cleaners that ship out their work. He told me no it isn't on sight but it's local, in Mission Viejo. I decided to let them do the work anyway. Saturday arrives, I walk in at 3:10pm and the lady working the front counter looks up my order saying, "oh, it's not ready yet." "Something broke down and there is a delay." I asked, when will they be here for me to pick up my shirts? She didn't have any clear answer other than sometime today and the store closes at 5pm. I did shopping in the area and periodically checked back. Still no dress shirts to pick up. I then ask her, where is the plant so I'll just get my shirts directly from them? She tells me that she can't tell me since they need to go back through her so she can run it through the computer system. She also tells me that this delay has effected several other customers (as if that's suppose to make me feel better somehow). I told her, I understand it's affected many other customer but there is no estimated time of arrival. I then notice a sign behind the counter informing customers, due to difficultly in meeting payroll, they have to cut out their Sunday hours so the store will now be closed on Sundays. After seeing that sign, I tell the lady, this is why you're having payroll issues, who wants to have their dry cleaning done by such a lousy business? She asked for me phone number and said she will call me when they get in but I told her no, I'll try back before 5pm. I try back for my final time at 4:40pm on Saturday and still nothing has arrived. She then asked me again for my phone number and I declined asking if she had bothered to call the plant and find out when the clothes will be back. She claims she had called and they are still ironing everything. She said nothing will arrive today since it's so close to 5pm. I then ask about Monday. She said, "oh, they HAVE to be here by Monday." I replied, they had to be here today by 3pm and they weren't so telling me they HAVE to be here by Monday isn't really much of a guarantee. read more
