On 7/14 I arrived on time to my appointment and right away was told they were running behind 15 minutes because the person in front of me had really long hair and the appointments are for 40 minutes but the computer does not allocate more time for long hair. Then 15 minutes after my appointment was to start the "bartender" comes over to tell me it will be delayed another 15 minutes. She was kind enough to tell me that I was welcome to leave and they would not charge me... I actually giggled a little when I heard that...That being said this was a training issue. She otherwise seemed hardworking and was cleaning brushes and helping stylists. The 'Bartender" is very young and inexperienced. She needs to be trained on how to deal with these situations in a more mature and professional way. I was very kind cause I realized this is a lack of experience and training. My appointment was now 30 minutes late and not an apology or an offer of a discount or free upgrade nothing. When I finally got to a stylist 30 minutes late, the stylist was bubbly and happy so she improved my experience. Sometimes things happen and you cannot deliver the experience you intended to your client. But this can be easily mitigated with a nice tone and gesture. I do however recommend Drybar. fashion Island, Westlake and Calabasas locations are my favorites. Stay away from Roseville... I had two terrible experiences there! I will try Los Gatos again. read more

I have never felt so compelled to write a bad review, but my recent encounter at dry bar los gatos was soo bad I could not let it slide. First, it is evident that the problems start at the top. The ownership is abysmal. They seem completely disinterested in running the business. For example, when I got there and asked for the manager and they did not address my issues rather I had to talk to the owner who ignored my needs. From my experience, i can say they do not value customer service. On top of that, the employees there seem incredibly stressed and unsupported. You can hear it while talking to them as they try to explain why they are behind. I get that it is not their fault that there is not enough stylists, but their stress is a direct result of a toxic working environment. Stressed employees can not provide good service! This was, without a doubt, the worst experience I have had at a dry bar. I was met with indifference and apathy by all management. Super mediocre blowouts, exceptionally bad and rude customer service. Lots of fabulous salons in Los Gatos that charge the same. Don't go here unless it is 7am and you have no other choice. Adding due to the owners reply: I was exactly 16 minutes late for my appointment, one minute past the 15 minute grace period. I visited this dry bar basically weekly in the past few months. I am also very familiar with other hair salons in the area. My comments are in relation to the quality of services in conjunction with customer service. My interaction with the front staff was very unpleasant. Delays happen, on both sides, that is not my issue. There are ways to address them and your customers depending on how much you value them. Here instead of accepting a customer review, you chose to argue and make up facts (eg me being 20 minutes late). As should be clear from my reviews, I don't write reviews unless I mean them. Here, with me, you missed the mark and I wanted to convey my assessment. All hair salons in the area are small businesses. They actually deserve their customers. Don't hide behind "being a small business" to gaslight your customers. If you want hood reviews be better. read more

This is my first time writing a review on Yelp. Let me start by saying my hair looked amazing. My issue was with booking the appointment not the fantastic stylist. I booked a dry bar appointment for myself and a friend on 5/31/24 at Dry Bar Los Gatos. The appointment was for 6/28/24 at 2pm. On Tuesday 6/25/24 I called the salon and asked to move the appointment up an hour. I received my new confirmation after speaking with the stylist. I received a text at 12:08pm on the day of my appointment asking if I could push my appointment out to 2:45 as they had a stylist unexpectedly not show up. I gave the salon a call and was finally able to reach somebody at 12:15pm. At this point, my friend and I were already on the way from San Francisco to Los Gatos. This is over 50 miles to drive. I spoke with somebody at the salon and said we could do 1:30pm but unfortunately couldn't push the appointment out to 2:45 as we had an event at 4pm. The person I spoke with confirmed they would make it work. We arrived at the salon at 1:30pm, which was already an inconvenience as we had to sit around for 30 minutes. We check in and are told by the front desk person that there is a 15 minute grace period for late arrivals. I explained that we were not late, noting that the salon itself had asked us to come in later. She said she was unable to accommodate us. Her manager came over and said there was nothing she could do because she had people coming in at 1:45pm. She didn't even try to make it work, she just said she wouldn't be able to accommodate us. She also didn't seem to believe that I called the salon and I had to show her the call log on my phone. This was crazy to me because I made the appointment a month in advance knowing I wanted to treat my friend to a special experience. We had a friends wedding rehearsal dinner that night and she had never been to a dry bar so I thought what better time to take her! Not only did the salon ask to push out our appointment by two hours and forty five minutes but when we arrived after spending over an hour driving, it was as if we were inconveniencing the salon. Initially no attempt was made to try and accommodate us. Why did the appointments at 1:45 not get bumped but we did? Couldn't they just have shifted all of the appointments out by 15 minutes? Finally, they were able to move around appointments to accommodate us but unfortunately we didn't begin until 2pm. This was an incredibly bad experience. I've been buying dry bar styling products for years and I had been going to the Santana Row location for more than 5 years before it closed. It was a very stressful start to what should've been a fun and relaxing day. I was embarrassed that this was my friends first time at a dry bar location and unfortunately it'll be her last. I have lost confidence in dry bar and I had picked the Los Gatos location specifically because it got the best reviews in the area. I spoke with the owner of the location on the phone today 8/9/24. She was apologetic but mentioned I hadn't responded to the salon's initial text message. Unfortunately, it seemed like she didn't believe me after pressing for receipts of the conversation with the salon. I wasn't offered any sort of compensation. I will not return to this location. If you come to this location, be prepared to wait. We waited 30 minutes after all of the back and forth about not being able to fit us in. Also, if the salon contacts you for any reason respond with a text message and keep all of those messages so that if there is a problem you have proof of the exchange. read more

Just went in for a blowout during their trail run and if this is just a preview of what the service is going to be after their official grand opening, than it's going to be amazing! Was greeted by Sandya, the owner and was offered coffee/tea/water and got tea in a legit to-go cup (the small details are all there!) My stylist and the hair educator listened to what I wanted and delivered above my expectations. Mind you, I have naturally very thick, frizzy, curly hair which can be intimidating but they knew exactly what to do! Sandya has built a great team! I just had the most phenomenal blowout by Jackson today. He has been working for Drybar for about 4 years and he knows all the products. He was efficient and did my hair effortlessly. I will be returning to this Drybar and requesting him for sure! I also ran late due to an accident on the freeway, I called them ahead and let them know. I had ordered an add on and told them I would pay for it but I would need to skip it unfortunately. The woman who answered, adjusted my appointment because they had some flexibility. By the time I got there, I didn't have time for my add on. They didn't charge fee for the add on even though I said I would pay for it because I had booked the time! Excellent customer service! They have the worst management, I have been trying to reach them via email and phone call and they would take 1 week to a month to get back to me. The blowouts do not take 45mins as advertised. They have taken 1hr to 1hr 30mins and that's with two stylist working on your hair. They have wet my entire back before as well. You are better off drying your own hair, this has seriously been the most frustrating experience in trying to talk to someone. The operations manager Charnee is impossible to reach, and when she does she does not bother to call the client or read the email, she took 3 weeks to respond to me and cancelled my membership unprompted when I have been trying to discuss the credits I have with someone. The front staff has been sweet thankfully in all of this. They are trying to steal hundreds of dollars from me by cancelling my membership. Please don't ever get a drybar membership read more
