This was my first DC appointment and I was pleased to book just the day before at a convenient time. I travel a lot for work and don't always have time to fit in a hair appointment before leaving town, so it's wonderful to have a solid and conveniently located place to get my hair "did" and made fresh for my local events. I came in after reading the other review that said run don't walk to this location and I'm so glad I did! As soon as I arrived I was greeted by Ben at the front desk who offered me a drink (champagne!) and Mae took me back and began working her magic. I have 22" extensions and she gave me one of the best blowouts I've ever had in less than an hour. The salon is clean and the mood is happy and fun. There was a good amount of street parking but also a parking garage available and they validate the tickets. I can't wait to come back! read more

Loved coming here until they canceled my appointment last minute. I had a 6pm appointment which was scheduled and confirmed online and i came to the Salon and they canceled it because it would take longer then an hour therefore causing inconvenience to the stylist for having to stay a couple minutes past closing. Wont be coming back i work long hours and needed an evening appointment and for them to offer the appointment and then me driving here for them to proceed to tell me they cant take me is a little unprofessional. Run do not walk to the national landing and Reston location Drybars. They are the only two in the area I go to. Not only do they have amazing customer service, they offer you a complimentary drink with service. They have helped me look amazing at every event I have planned. As an influencer I am constantly having to look my best, and a lot of events I go to on a monthly basis and they are the only place where I consistently know what service I am getting before I walk in. If you want to go somewhere where you don't have to question how you will be treated the professionalism, the quality of service of the Drybar go to the national landing or the Reston location. The others.. are lack luster in the vicinity. Anyway, I walk in with a smile am greeted and cared for as if I've been going to them for years. The customer service is top tier and the owner of the two locations puts so much effort into the experience and is willing to help her employees provide a high quality experience. She has been overly accommodating and thought of every detail. I am in love with these two locations. Anyway. I recommend you go to anyone, but I specially go to Janae at national landing and Alejandra at the Reston. Again there hasn't been anyone else I've gone to and haven't enjoyed they are personable and I am happy to invest in the membership. I am moving a little further than I am right now but would pass by any other location just to go here or the Reston location just with the comfort of knowing I will get exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you for putting my mind at ease. For reference I have 3c 4a hair and walk out with extensions, my regular hair and or an updo. The owner takes so much pride in making sure her stylists are well trained and understands the hair type differences for products and styling. Such a pleasure stumbling across this gem. I went in to see if they performed a particular service and was shocked to be treated so poorly and disrespected. I will never step foot in this place again! Good Customer service is important for any business to grow! You'd think the woman I spoke to would know that! Fantastic blowout and friendly service! I've had questionable blowouts at other dry bars in the area, but wanted to try again for my engagement photoshoot. I made an appointment for blow dry and added a note to add braids because their website didn't allow me to. I called them as well to make sure they saw my note. I have the confirmation for blow dry appointment. I show up and they tell me that they only have 15 min to do braids. I never received any email that my appointment has been changed whatsoever, so I could at least fix it in advance. Now I have to try to magically find someone else for styling before an event. I will never recommend this place to anyone, poor customer service skills too no one approached me to apologize for their own mistake. They didn't even suggest a different time. Even if you have to try this place, do NOT choose it for events as they will leave you hanging. UPDATE:To the owner's response-Your website, dear, says we come over for dry styling for you to STRAIGHTEN as well. I came in to straighten my hair and get braids. I was told they have 15 minutes only for braids. Again, I have a confirmation for dry styling. Maybe you should check your own website and confirmations and maybe call a customer to verify. I understand what dry styling is and my comment and lack of service is because I didn't receive dry styling, dear. Hope this helps.
