I had placed an order in advanced with Todi's in Dryden do deliver sheet pizzas to the Elementary school for the kids who had to attend the after school program during their spring break. I received a call from Todi's (1 hour and 45 minutes prior to the delivery) saying they were going to be closed today, and they wouldn't be able to make and deliver the pizzas that I had ordered. In a panic, I called the Dryden Hotel. Jen took my call and went above and beyond to help me. She took my order and had the sheet pizzas delivered to the Elementary school in time for the kids to have lunch. (The Dryden Hotel does NOT deliver) Not only were the kids thrilled to have pizza, but they wouldn't have had lunch today if it weren't for the staff at the Dryden Hotel. It can be hit or miss. Some nights the food is really good and others the food is sloppy and poorly made. The pizza is always pretty good. I much prefer take-out rather than sitting in the noisy bar room. Overall, it's the closest and most decent place to eat in Dryden besides the Chinese restaurant. read more

The hotel has been the only bar/restaurant worth visiting in the village of Dryden in my 10 years living in this area. Other places go out of business quickly. DESPITE this fact, I genuinely enjoy the food and the service here. The servers have always been great. Consistently. And I've been here probably a hundred times. The food is better than it used to be...seems they are making some upgrades to the menu. The Hotel Burger is my go-to item and it's always delicious. Yes, sometimes it's loud and crowded. It's a bar. And it's one of the only bars in the area. So people complaining about the noise should get over it. read more

The service wasn't prompt; being prompt doesn't mean rushing or hovering but it does mean taking care of the customers needs in an appropriate time frame. Waiting 10 or even five minutes for a drink refill or condiments quickly turns a customers experience sour. It is a "seat yourself" and I sat there for 15mins where the waitress walked past me numerous times without greeting or giving out a menu. I always give a restaurant a second chance but one I quickly regretted; I had taken my friend there for lunch between classes and again sat there for 10 minutes and the waitress was rude and was offensive to both my friend and me. Me and a group of friends went to the Dryden Hotel for their unlimited wing night for 17 dollars plus tax on Thursday and they also iff a pizza special on Wednesday and a fish special on Friday. The service was extremely fast and a warm welcome walking into the door. With in minutes of sitting down me and my table already had our drinks and chicken wing orders placed. The kitchen was fast and brought the wings out quickly. The wings were not hot off the fryer and were a little over cooked, but still a good chicken wing. With the many wing sauces my table was pleased with all of them. Overall a great and fun experience here at the Dryden Hotel. :) read more

The soda was really watered down and so was my friends juice she ordered. The waitress was hard to flag down and wasn't attentive at all. The food wasn't good. The chicken fingers were dry and the fries were greasy. A little too expensive for crappy bar food with bad service. They didn't cook my friends steak how she wanted it either. I have had good meals here, but today lunch was awful. 40min wait, 1 waitress literally running from table to table, expected to take orders, Tend bar, answer phone, bus tables. Chicken spiedie sandwich $10.95 was super dry, no spiedie flavor, about 1/4 cup of dry chicken bits, served on 3/4 of a burned grocery store hot dog bun. No sauce of any kind. Stopped here after the Hops and Swaps festival. It was OK. We both ordered the prime rib special. The meat was great. Asked for a side of au jus, which was super good. All that came with it was the salad. Very good greens, enjoyed my salad very much. Ordered a side of garlic mashed potatoes, very disappointing. Service was sufficient. I'd go again though. I understand things aren't easy right now but if you suggestions I would make. If you're going to have a special it's good possibility that a lot of people will be buying it so to only be able to make or cook one pizza at a time as we were told and waiting over 45 minutes for our pizza and were actually given one that was a take out order so then they had to wait just seemed to be too much. And in that 45 minute time that we waited our waitress served us our drinks and we never saw her again until we flagged down another waitress asking her where our pizza was. Last night was not a good experience I hope the next time is much better but seriously don't offer pizza as a special if you can't produce it in a timely manner. If the wait time is there to sell more drinks then make sure your waitresses are doing that we would've gladly bought another round after we finished our first and so on. The Dryden Hotel has been the 'Go-To' establishment for our family for the last 28 years. It is indeed the friendly neighborhood gathering place, appropriate for people of all ages. The beverages, generous and delicious food choices are second only to the wait and kitchen staff! These employees very obviously enjoy their jobs as they are always seen interacting with the patrons with laughter and a smile! It is wonderful to enter an establishment and be immediately greeted with such positive energy!! Our favorite evening to dine at the Hotel is Saturday-as the Prime Rib dinner is the absolute best around- but if you're busy Saturday, the Hotel menu on any night is sure to please! read more

I rented a room for four months at the Dryden Hotel. It was filthy when my bf and I arrived and it took three days before the super was notified that it needed to be cleaned. Toilet ran constantly and overflowed at one point. We we charged an extra $50 because there were two of us living in the apt, but we weren't given a second key for FIVE days (AFTER making at least one complaint each day, and no, we weren't reembursed for the hassle). We paid the rent early each month while we were there and left the apt squeaky clean, but they refused to reemburse us for the two days we had paid for but had moved out. Bartenders were absolutely great, but upper management is terribly sleazy. Needless to say, the rent they refused to reembuse us WOULD HAVE been spent there 10 times over in the future, but I'm probably going to avoid the establishment now. read more

i wish i could give this place 0 stars. highway robbery for sure. i ordered home fries, bacon, black coffee... they charged me 15.01 and its not the first time. the food is horrible, staff is less than par. the silverware and plates look like someone washed them with a garden hose out back. i only got 1 cup of coffee and the wait staff didnt think i wanted more than one. i actually stopped and got a breakfast sandwich at mcdonalds afterward, 10 x better. floor was sticky and gross. there was someones chewing tobacco under the booth i was at. and im pretty sure i saw a couple rats having sex in the corner. i will not take my business there again. used to be a great place... better start reevaluating your product, prices, and staff because this is an ongoing issue and many people think the same. next call is the health department. read more

We've eaten here twice while passing through the area. Both times the food and the service has been exceptional. The prices are very reasonable as well. The bbq pulled pork wrap is outstanding. My wife had the French dip which was also great. The side salad was fresh and crisp - it had onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, and Mediterranean greens - very good. Worst meal ever. Worst service ever. Waitress really missed a chance at a good tip by just letting us know what was going on. 6 guests in our party NONE of the food came out at the same time. SOUP came out LAST and was disgusting, Nothing in the order was complicated, wings/French Dip/Cheeseburger/Sliders/Fried Pickles and soup. NOTHING hard. It should have all come out at the same time, but came in weird stages. The only explanation was that there was a mix-up in the kitchen...NO KIDDING. Then, when we tried to pay we got tired of waiting for the waitress to come back so went to pay at the bar. SAME horrible service. We were looking for a small-town country café for a morning breakfast and stumbled into the Dryden hotel. Yes they were overloaded with customers right before we got here but probably because the breakfast are so good. One half a cozy bar with plenty of TV's and the other half tables and. Booths. It is what it is. Very popular local venue and almost a sports bar with all of the(small) TVs. VERY LOUD even when not busy. Ate there a year ago and wings were good, but this time they were dry and leathery(precooked), Fish and chips were put through a dredge, but not properly breaded. Some very good drink specials and deals, but it's not anything special for food. Pizza looked like the crust was pre-made, but didn't try. read more

Nice bar but a little bit pricey for a small town. The food is good if the cook is on like most places but very hit or miss. The pizza is very inconsistent. Size, quality toppings etc. When the pizza is what it should be there is no comparison. It is rarely what it should be and I no longer get it without seeing it first. Delivery is out of the question as a large cheese is about $16.00 and doesn't fit the box. It is advertised as an 18 inch pie but they have come as small as 15 inches. The owner addressed my complaint with coupons and a cash certificate. I kept 1 coupon to replace a disappointing pizza and returned the rest stating that I was not asking for anything more than consistency. Nothing has changed. read more
