Hello oyster heaven and lobster crab benedict addiction. Dryft, you are AMAZING. The food here is out of this world good. From the pasta, oysters, seafood you can't go wrong. We dined with two friends who live close by with our four month old son. At first I though there would be some hesitation with bringing a baby in here, as when we made the reservation they said they do not allow strollers. BUT, i can see why - the place is very small inside. Our server was sweet, but frantic. She forgot multiple dishes and drinks. We didn't let it take away from our experience but for the price point it would of been nice if one thing was comped for us waiting for her mistakes. Doesn't take away from the amazing food. Bravo! If I could give this place zero stars I would. All the Reviews state that this place is welcoming to all guests even on busy nights. That was not my experience. The manager on duty was Jason and a friend who frequents the place greeted him but he immediately seemed bothered. We were told "go find the hostess who can get us a table or bar seats are self serve." That's when the night when down hill. We found seats at the bar and sat for 20 minutes while I observed other patrons being served and new patrons greeted with water, drinks and a food menu. We weren't acknowledged at all. The bartender made eye contact several times and said I'll be right back never to return. I can't tell you what the food or drinks were like. It was cool night and the sun was just setting as my friend and I roller bladed on Revere Beach. She has been to Dryft before and suggested to go after we were done rollerblading and considering the last thing I consumed was lunch, so we was there and there for one purpose only. To eat!!! The term chew and screw was in effect!!! The wait was quick. It was a cool night so we got seated inside. The waitress was super nice and checked on us often. I noticed the manager went around asking how everyone was doing which I thought was good customer service. He came over to us and made it brief which was also great because I hate when people try to converse while I'm at my habitat (stuffing my face). We shared the fried oysters. It was delicious! It came with 5 pieces so we ended up splitting the 5 one in half. lol I suggest and even amount for next time please. Kidding. The poke bowl was perfect. The tuna was fresh and well balanced with all the other stuff in it, however It was so perfect I need more! And will be back for it! Overall, this place is great, it has the seaport atmosphere but in the North shore area which I think is wonderful. Loved this place so much! The location has an amazing view of the water and planes landing. It's very laid back far enough away from the city to be less busy. Located under new luxury apartments across from Revere Beach, it is bringing a new modern vibe to this historic location. The menu ranges from fresh local oysters to hand-made pasta dishes, which are exceptional. I absolutely love their pesto gnocchi with chunks of butternut squash and the fried calamari, which is lightly battered and seasoned to perfection! If you are not a seafood lover.. no worries! They offer a variety of dishes with chicken and beef. I love their Sunday brunch. The swordfish tacos are my go-to! You get 2 thick tacos and a side salad. Their espresso martinis are outstanding, and I am always a fan of a seasonal sangria! They also added an outside bar open during the summer, which has plenty of seating if the inside is too busy. The restaurant is modern with an interesting layout. My wife and I were seated promptly. As soon as we were seated, my wife felt the cold chill that makes dinner uncomfortable, but she said it was doable, so I did not request reseating. Our waitress arrived soon thereafter giving us menus and water. We ordered cocktails which arrived on time, but I would say both of them were weak on alcohol, unlike most of the restaurants we dine at. Our next observation was that the music was very loud to make conversation difficult. Being older, we generally chat with each other instead of texting across the table so that was another disappointment. When our waitress came, we ordered a salad and two entrees. Given the prices, I expected rolls followed by salad before the entrees came. This was not to be. After about ten minutes where our waitress was scarce, I told my wife that it looks like our salad and entrees would be delivered together. Lo and behold! A few minutes later our salad and entrees came out together, delivered by a person other than our waitress. This always puts u sin a pickle where we have to decide - Do we eat the salad and let the entrees get cold or do we eat the entrees and have the salad for dessert. We opted to eat the entrees while they were hot. To be fair, the food was delicious. The only disappointment with the food was the salad dressing which had very little taste. Perhaps eating it for dessert bothered us. That was our experience. I rated it 3 stars since the food was very good; the drinks were fair; the temperature was chilly; the ambiance was loud (music), and the failure to timely deliver the salad was a big mistake on their part. I would hope they could benefit from my comments. I might consider a future visit, and if it is not too loud, I might go in. read more

We took her recommendation & ordered a couple of The Roasted Half Chicken Dinners Under a Brick to Go. It comes with mashed potatoes & seasonal vegetables. DELICIOUS!! Thank You. Great Recommendation! There is an glass elevator that ascends to Dryft from the street level. You can also take the stairs that has a textured ocean breeze wall affect on the concrete. The inside is very modern with woods, artwork & glass. They also have a bar which is good if you are just stopping by for a drink. You can dine indoors or outdoors. If it's good weather opt for the outdoors, you'll have a great view of the Beach & feel that Ocean Breeze. Don't miss out on one of the coolest things to do here. Adjacent to Dryft there is a mini version of the famous Zakim Bridge in Boston by the same architect. It's called the Markey Bridge. It's a Pedestrian Walkway 151 foot long Bridge that is 52 feet above Ocean Ave. It takes you right out to the Beach. The Bridge is Futuristic in design & looks the strings of a Giant Harp. Very Cool! What a Great & Convenient way to walk off all those calories with a stroll along the beach. Revere Beach is Noteworthy because it is America's first public beach established in 1896. But one of my friends has been here before so I trusted him and was not disappointed! We had the pleasure of having Tracy help us. She was super friendly and knowledgeable even on items that were only a day old. We were lucky enough to come in on day one of a new menu. One thing I will tell you is tht your food will come out hot and fast! This place will be my go to spot this summer as it is located right in front of the beach! "Best clam chowder I ever had" said hubby. Even after the chowder sat in front of us for at least 5 minutes as we waited for spoons to be brought out to us (this being the only negative for our evening). The chowda was creamy but not overly thick, filled with clams, potatoes and bacon. And the croutons were great. We each had a small pasta dish (bolognese and gnocchi) in addition. The server was very attentive and we didn't feel rushed what's so ever while being there even with the 90 minute wait they had. However, I made reservations and within the reservations online it asked if dinner was for a special occasion and I indicated it was our anniversary thinking they would seat us somewhere with a nicer view. The clam chowder is to die for! OMG so freaking good. I was tempted to order one to go but I flew out in the morning.... I digress. The restaurant is cute. It has indoor and outdoor seating as well as a bar area. The service was on point and everything that we ordered (and shared) was amazing. Do yourself a favor and try the Mahi Mahi or the chicken meal with brussel sprouts. (Sorry I can't remember the names) the lobster roll was meh. It was basically a ton of warm lobster which I'm not complaining about but it was missing the taste that I was seeking when I went on my lobster roll hunt. The alcoholic drinks were good. My old fashioned was pretty stiff. My only complaint is that I currently have a boot on my foot and had to walk far and walk up some stairs before I reached the restaurant. It's a new year and Dryft is bringing some style and your next date night to Revere. At the wonderland t stop, it's wonderfully convenient to get to. The place is a bit small but it looks like they'll have a patio for the summer months so lookout brunch Sundays! I came here a few times. I got the lobster fra diavolo and the bolonese the second. Both were very good and as they find their stride I only expect it to get better. Dessert is rotating but the night I got the lemon cake , it was sublime. Been wanting to try Dryft for sometime after it opens. The view was stunning with a bridge that leads you over to Revere Beach. Can't wait for summer and hopefully the menu might change. Ordered the PastryPlatter which is nothing fancy for a muffin, croissant and coffee cake. Menu mentioned changes daily. I wanted to dig into the chowder but the waitress seem to forget I can't eat it with a fork since no spoon came along. By the time I got the spoon the chowder cooled off which was a big bummer. Clam chowder was a little runny for a New England clam chowder with a huge clam In the middle. Short rib hash with each component eaten separate, they were pretty good however the more I eat the saltier it get, when finished I think I had a whole bottle of water after. Will have to return in summer to see if the menu improved, but will definitely go for the view and a date night for drinks. read more

Grab a delicious drink from the bar- their signature cocktails are divine and their wine menu pairs great with any starter or entree. We had the octopus and oysters with a glass of white, to start, and it was delicious. I ended up getting the 1/2 portion lobster fra diavolo which was fantastic: great hand made pasta and that complemented the gravy well (or maybe the other way around!?). Nonetheless, everything was cooked to perfection. The portions are JUST right, and they offer half and full portions for your preference. We also went on their first opening night and we can't wait to see what they have in store going forward. Convenient location, excellent menu, and superb staff- this restaurant is a combination for success. Can't wait to go back! Also the staff is knowledgeable and charismatic- Kate, our waitress provided a comprehensive review of the menu, and she was right- the chef is a magician. The only downside was parking, but super convenient is the wonderland train station garage and PLENTY OF STREET PARKING. Stop in if you're craving a great meal and good company. Dryft offers a great menu and is conveniently located in one of the new complex developments on revere beach. The atmosphere is modern and clean. The service was also very good. They were able to accommodate outdoor seating on the patio which made our lunch extra special. I've been there for brunch one time before (in the winter), which was also great, but sitting outside in the summer made for a very different seaside experience.
