Dryft in Revere is a welcome addition to the beautiful Revere beach area on Ocean Ave. The views of the Ocean from the floor to ceiling windows are spectacular! The staff is warm and friendly and very attentive. I've found the fried calamari tender and delicious! Next time I go I will try the charcuterie. Our lunch's were; Roasted Beet Salad with grilled Salmon and the Chopped salad with flat iron steak. Both equally delicious and satisfying! Looking forward to our next lunch at Dryft! read more

This review is specifically for the "dress code" they enforced which is not even listed on their website. I had a reservation today and was meeting up with a colleague for lunch. I checked in with the hostess and the hostess paused and said she would be right back. When she returned she said she spoke with her manager and told me I was not allowed to sit on their patio nor eat inside due to my attire because it did not meet their dress code. She said I was dressed inappropriately. I had long pants on and midi top. Just because a bit of my abdomen was exposed I was refused service at the main patio and inside of the restaurant. She told me I could go the other patio/bar... mind you it was maybe 2-3 feet away from the main patio. This made absolutely no sense ... I wasn't dressed in a bikini... Overall a very poor customer experience and judged based on what I was wearing. read more

I had a reservation today for outdoors. The place and the food were pretty good but I expected more from the service. Our waiter Javier didn't go to out table to check if everything was good, did not know how to answer questions about the menu, did not do last call and after bringing the check he asked us if we wanted anything else. I was in Revere/Boston for 2 days and I am so glad I had the pleasure of eating at Dryft our first night. It was some of the best food I've ever tasted. The shishito peppers and roasted Brussel sprouts with chorizo vinaigrette was a perfect appetizer. The steak frites with truffle fries was perfectly medium rare and so tasty. My boyfriend and I went to Dryft to celebrate our anniversary during the first week of outdoor dining under COVID restrictions. We had an incredible experience! We applied hand sanitizer after checking in and were taken to a table (with ocean views!) on their spacious outdoor patio a solid 6 feet away from the closest tables. All the restaurant staff were wearing cloth masks. We each ordered a cocktail (I had the blueberry one and he had the Manhattan) which were excellent. We split the sweet and spicy wings, which look exactly like the photos online and were delicious. A generous portion! For our entrees, I had the mushroom truffle gnocchi, which was extraordinary. The flavors were perfect, and the gnocchi was the perfect texture--fluffy and light but chewy. Best gnocchi I've had! My boyfriend had the stuff lobster tail and loved it. Very pricey at $65 (market price) but it was a huge portion with shrimp, scallops, and crab meat in addition to lobster. He said it was totally worth the price. We were both very happy with the food! Came out for a drink 500 Ocean Manhattan. Planning to have the whole dinner experience. Not what you expect. Manhattan tasted horrible it was like half a bottle of bitters was poured. The cauliflower appetizers was fried in disaster and no water refills were offered. The server was busy and never checked back on me. Decided to cancel my dinner experience and went somewhere else to wash out the bad taste of rashly made food. This was an amazing surprise. We came here because it was right beside our hotel, and we are so glad we did! We rarely find a place where all 5 of us really love the food! We had the best experience at this restaurant from the ambiance to the food to the wait staff up to and including management. My daughter had a small wedding celebration and used the private room. They were extremely accommodating. They created a special menu for us. We tried about 3/4 of the 1st courses/appetizers and about 10 different 2nd courses. Every person in attendance loved their meal. Every dish was excellent. I have NEVER been to a restaurant that so many dishes were review worthy. This event was planned within a week and Dryft hour it out of the park. I can't wait to go there again. I've had the Mediterranean platter (spicy chips were really good with the dips), shishito peppers (miso glaze makes them sweet), gnocchi (really good in the sauce with the mushrooms), corn (nice spicy sauce), kale cesear (one of the best I've ever had), olive oil pound cake (really good, especially with the lemon sorbet). Drinks wise, the Puritan's Downfall will be my downfall, because it was so delicious. I also really liked the Kiss of the Sea, which is like a dirty martini. read more

I've gone to Dryft a couple times now and both outings were a success. The first time I went with my friend and boyfriend for dinner. I had the burger and it was delicious. This past weekend I went for brunch and enjoyed the avocado toast. The ambiance is nice and we were able to find parking both times. Both times we got great bartenders. The service is really friendly and able to make menu suggestions. I do think their cocktails are a little too sugary sweet for me but overall I really enjoy the restaurant. read more

This place is a new hidden gem. There are not a lot of places in the area so you have to be looking for it. The stairs leading to it are beautiful, lit up and create the vibe already. You enter in, host stand is directly on your right. It's very crammed, and the hosts are definitely the "rule" keepers which would be my only complaint. There is one hostess who definitely seems to lead the pack, she isn't as friendly or hospitable as the others but don't let that deter you. They noticed we were waiting for 1hr plus, after being quoted 45 minutes. The "leader" was firm in her answer that it would be at least 20-30 minutes longer, another host noticed that it was a bit irritating that we'd been quoted one thing so she said "I think we can seat you" since she also noticed we were starting to look for a bar seating option. This made me feel a bit more reassured that this was just a restaurant who is doing exceptionally well and we should have just called ahead to avoid the headache. At least we were noticed by the other hostess. Once we sat, our service was good. I will say, the food was incredible!! The feta dip on the Mediterranean platter is a recipe you will want to take home. The wings are crispy and delicious, beet salad makes for a delicious lighter fare. Amy, the bartender, is what sets this place apart. Her table8 drink is great and she really knows how to work the bar. No customer is left feeling neglected. The restaurant takes reservations on their website and great for groups of any size. They even have a small room that accommodates private parties. The service and management is is friendly and accommodating. Drinks: beer, wine, and cocktails you cannot go wrong, everything is delicious. I had the Beachcomber, a tequila cocktail which was lovely. Appetizers: everything looked good, we will be back to try more but what we sampled tonight was incredible. The octopus was very hearty and just delightful, I loved it. The chopped salad was crunchy, crispy and loaded with flavor, so fresh. You cannot go wrong with the shishito peppers, a nice flare and simple flavor. Dinner: i literally wanted everything on the menu! I ordered the bolognese pasta and it came out piping hot and fresh, exceeded expectations above and beyond. We ordered a full order but it was nice that you had the option to order a half order. The pasta is made fresh in house. The salmon was also incredible, great flavor and very light, cooked to perfection. I smelled the truffle gnocchi and it smelled like heaven, no question I will be trying that next time I head over. Droooool..... Dessert: i thought my husband and I would split a dessert but noooo, he ordered the passion fruit cheesecake for himself and devoured every last bite, not sharing. Get the large portion. 8$ more it's worth it. Amazing flavors. Oysters were Wellfleet and Island Greek,with little neck clams and shrimp cocktail. All were fresh! Love the vinegarette sauce. My least favorite would have to be the Grilled Lamb Skewers on the cookout menu. It was way to chewy for my liking. Wow!!! Probably the best meal I have had in the last year! We started with Oysters and the Octopus... the Oysters were amazingly fresh and the octopus was the perfect balance of smoky/spice.. it was served on a tiny bed of mashed potatoes which really countered the spice, but were themselves perfect... We then moved on to the pasta... they offer half portions which was just enough. We had the lobster Fra Diablo and the Spaghetti and Clams. The pasta is house made, so absorbs the sauce and the the sauces were perfect, bright, fresh, perfect.... For those of you who read my Yelp reviews... you know I am tough... but this place blowed away my expectations... truly better than anything I could ever make myself and I was trained by some outstanding chefs! I've walked by this place every day during construction for the past two months and wanted to go when it opened. Well it finally opened and I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the food was and how well crafted the martinis were. We order the Calamari as appetizer and gnocchi as our entree.
