We finally went to D's for a sit down dinner after enjoying their take out pizza. The dining space is typical strip mall decor. Nothing fancy, but clean and neat. Roomy and not crowded table arrangements. Server was very pleasant and helpful in making choices. We skipped appetizers as we know Italian food servings are typically abundant. We ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana and the night's seafood special which had shrimp, scallops and lobster with prosciutto filled pasta in a creamy tomato brandy sauce. The food was delicious. The eggplant thinly sliced was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Served over linguine and marinara sauce. My seafood special was amazing. The shrimp were huge, plentiful amount of lobster and the prosciutto filled pasta was very good. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I'm taking a point off only because for $14 the wine pour was very light. Also, the bread which was very fresh only had 3 pieces and the dipping oil was about 2 tablespoons at best.(I know we could have probably asked for more) Solid choice for Italian food. read more

I dined here with my parents on a Sunday night; they were busy (maybe a little understaffed?), but nonetheless polite. Pizza is always delicious!! I do miss the meatballs appetizer. I ordered a Pellegrino and I believe they were out but I saw an employee come back with some from Lowe's next door. Now THAT is true hospitality; they could have easily told me they were out especially considering they were backed up. I also work in the industry and that kind of stuff goes a long way. We went on a Sunday night at 7 with a reservation. Got seated immediately and placed our order for our appetizers and entrees. Appetizer came out decently quick and it was great. We got the large portion of mozzarella sticks, and it was definitely worth the amount we got. My brother ordered a salad, which came out nearly 20 minutes late since apparently the chef forgot to cook the chicken for the salad? My dad got a Stromboli and I got a the chicken parm, both of which were good. We had to ask 4 times for bread..and when we finally got it, it was pretty stale/cold. But, a waitress came over shortly after and gave us warm bread, which was good. The food was good but the service needs work. First time visit last night. Wonderful staff! Had the "Shrimp Scampi Mediterania" on a bed of perfectly cooked fettuccine. Simply delicious! Giant shrimp and cherry tomatoes in a garlic lemon butter sauce, served piping hot. Wonderful bread served with olive and balsamic oil for dipping. Will definitely go back and try their other dishes. Atmosphere is lovely, ppl are very nice. The pizza and calzones not great. Pizza is doughy and greasy. I only go when I don't want to drive far because it's the closest to my home. Great Italian food. Blindly tried this Italian restaurant and we are super happy we did. The authentic ambience only complimented the great and super tasty Italian food. From the appetizers through the entrées to ending the meal with some fantastic tiramisu everything was great. Our server Ali was top-notch. Her knowledge of the menu and the drink list was extensive and she was on top of everything we needed even before we knew we needed it. Came here to try something on our way home from the beach. We had been wanting to try something new. The open sign was on and we were there before 3. I guess they close between 3 and 4 but we were there before 3 and it was the only place on our way out and they flat out refused to let us even get something to go , I guess because it was 10 minutes until 3 but if you say 3 it should be 3. Also turn the open light off. I wasted me and my childrens time , they are starving. Customer service is lacking and I've heard from friends the food is subpar. We have visited this place for the last time. Asked for some hot sauce for my wings and she charged me $1.00. My girl asked for a split of champagne (small mini bottle) and every restaurant fills your glass leaving the rest of the bottle. Not D's! They poor 2 thirds of the bottle in your glass and the remaining goes back in the fridge. They charge FOR 3 splits out of 2 bottles! I would recommend the pizza for carry out. Garlic knots are very good too! We dined in and enjoyed a Friday evening. They offer wine and beer, however the beer tap was not working that evening. It use to be the only reason I left the island was to buy their pizza but the owner made me aware that she wasn't interested in my business anymore. Wanted to support a woman owned business but good grief!!!! Waited an hour and watched everyone around us who got there AFTER US eat and pay and we still have no food. Our "waiter" is playing bartender and doesn't even acknowledge us. We ended up leaving (he didn't even notice then either!!) . Kids have eaten and now it's bed time. We stumbled on this restaurant by accident. Small little place with a lot of people waiting to get a seat. Unfortunately there was only one waiter for over 10 tables, he was a little stressed to say the least. Overall food was mediocre, a little too salty, not authentic in my opinion but it wasn't horrible food. Pizza was probably the best thing there. Price point for a family of 7 we were charged $160 with a 20% gratuity which felt like a lot considering we never received refills and half of our table never received their food. We came here on a Saturday evening with reservations. Restaurant has a beautiful ambience with authentic murals and music. They have a nice wine selection, and a bar area. Server was very friendly and attentive. I ordered penne with shrimp, scallops and clams and it was very delicious and rich. The red sauce was full of flavor! We really like their Calzone and Pizza. Definitely arguably the best in the area. The pasta however is a different story. Great flavor and very tasty but they tend to overcook the pasta which is a big issue. I ordered the Cacio Pepe the 2nd time and specifically said to not overcook pasta. I asked for the linguini this time since it's a little bit harder to cook but still came out overcooked. If they can get this right, definitely 5 stars. read more

Located in a super market stripe center, it's easy to find. Walked in to a pleasant reception and was seated immediately. Offered a menu and drink orders were taken immediately. The decor is nice and softly lite. Our drinks, two draft beers and a water came out quickly. Bread was served with the normal oil mixture. Our meal orders were taken and came out in about 10 minutes. My wife ordered a plate with scallop and shrimp in a marinara sauce over pasta which she said was ok. I ordered a white lasagna which had slices of sausage and broccoli. I enjoyed my dish. We stopped in for takeout pizzas after a day of fishing and pool. The order was supposed to take 40-45 minutes, so we grabbed a drink at the bar. Normally, I go for wine, but felt like a cocktail and ordered a lemon drop martini. It took a few minutes to make, but it was fabulous with lots of fresh lemon juice and a sugar rim. The order was ready on time, if not a few minutes early: two cheese and two veggie pizzas and garlic knots. Both types of pizza were great, with flavorful sauce and plenty of mozzarella. The veggie was PACKED with EVERYTHING (spinach, Broccoli, peppers, onions, olives) and the thin crust held up beautifully to the weight. The garlic knots were just the right size, and coated in just enough butter, Garlic and seasoning. Our fridge has been out since Saturday so we're trying lots of restaurants. Our area also experienceda hurricane on Monday night. What a week. Tonight we tried Ds and we were not disappointed. They have a bar, wine, sodas, tea, and water. We just had water. The dinner started with a soft bread dipped in balsamic vinegar with some olive oil. So delicious. We both had a garden salad. Mine with blue cheese and my husband with honey mustard. Both were good. I ordered the individual Supreme pizza. They say Jersey style. It was a thin crust. The red sauce wasn't too sweet. It had a good number of topping that all worked well together. Next time I'll add olives. My husband had the spaghetti because they were out of lasagna. The spaghetti had a huge meatball. My husband got the meat sauce. It was definitely enough for two people. Nice Italian music playing in the background. The decor is a little kitchy. This is $80 I will never get back. I ordered chicken saltimbocca. One of the most expensive meals on their menu. It came with pasta, I chose penne. When the plate came out there was overcooked penne pasta swimming in some sort of water. On top of the pasta was a dry piece of chicken with prosciutto wrapped around it with cold hard cheese of some sort. Floating in the water were canned mushrooms . I asked for a bowl of red sauce, thinking I could take the penne out and put it in the sauce. The red sauce was an all purpose canned sauce only. No salt, pepper, seasoning of any kind. My glass of house Chardonnay was tasteless. The bread was cold. My husband had a salad and a pizza. The pizza was doughy and the peppers were overcooked.
