This is a preliminary review based on my take out pizza order. I plan on having a sit down dinner here and I will re-review at that time. I was greeted immediately upon entering. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. They took my pizza order, which was a 12" meatball and mushroom pie. Nice looking pizza oven and the ones that came out looked awesome so I was chomping at the bit waiting for mine. After about 15 min I was hoping in the truck with my bounty. The pizza was excellent. First time visit last night. Wonderful staff! Had the "Shrimp Scampi Mediterania" on a bed of perfectly cooked fettuccine. Simply delicious! We went on a Sunday night at 7 with a reservation. Got seated immediately and placed our order for our appetizers and entrees. Appetizer came out decently quick and it was great. We got the large portion of mozzarella sticks, and it was definitely worth the amount we got. My brother ordered a salad, which came out nearly 20 minutes late since apparently the chef forgot to cook the chicken for the salad? My dad got a Stromboli and I got a the chicken parm, both of which were good. We had to ask 4 times for bread..and when we finally got it, it was pretty stale/cold. We have visited this place for the last time. Asked for some hot sauce for my wings and she charged me $1.00. My girl asked for a split of champagne (small mini bottle) and every restaurant fills your glass leaving the rest of the bottle. Not D's! They poor 2 thirds of the bottle in your glass and the remaining goes back in the fridge. They charge FOR 3 splits out of 2 bottles! Great Italian food. Blindly tried this Italian restaurant and we are super happy we did. The authentic ambience only complimented the great and super tasty Italian food. From the appetizers through the entrées to ending the meal with some fantastic tiramisu everything was great. Our server Ali was top-notch. Her knowledge of the menu and the drink list was extensive and she was on top of everything we needed even before we knew we needed it. Came here to try something on our way home from the beach. We had been wanting to try something new. The open sign was on and we were there before 3. I guess they close between 3 and 4 but we were there before 3 and it was the only place on our way out and they flat out refused to let us even get something to go , I guess because it was 10 minutes until 3 but if you say 3 it should be 3. Also turn the open light off. I wasted me and my childrens time , they are starving. Customer service is lacking and I've heard from friends the food is subpar. I would recommend the pizza for carry out. Garlic knots are very good too! We dined in and enjoyed a Friday evening. They offer wine and beer, however the beer tap was not working that evening. It use to be the only reason I left the island was to buy their pizza but the owner made me aware that she wasn't interested in my business anymore. Wanted to support a woman owned business but good grief!!!! Waited an hour and watched everyone around us who got there AFTER US eat and pay and we still have no food. Our "waiter" is playing bartender and doesn't even acknowledge us. We ended up leaving (he didn't even notice then either!!) . Kids have eaten and now it's bed time. We stumbled on this restaurant by accident. Small little place with a lot of people waiting to get a seat. Unfortunately there was only one waiter for over 10 tables, he was a little stressed to say the least. Overall food was mediocre, a little too salty, not authentic in my opinion but it wasn't horrible food. Pizza was probably the best thing there. Price point for a family of 7 we were charged $160 with a 20% gratuity which felt like a lot considering we never received refills and half of our table never received their food. We really like their Calzone and Pizza. Definitely arguably the best in the area. The pasta however is a different story. Great flavor and very tasty but they tend to overcook the pasta which is a big issue. I ordered the Cacio Pepe the 2nd time and specifically said to not overcook pasta. I asked for the linguini this time since it's a little bit harder to cook but still came out overcooked. If they can get this right, definitely 5 stars. read more

Server was very friendly and attentive. I ordered penne with shrimp, scallops and clams and it was very delicious and rich. The red sauce was full of flavor! Located in a super market stripe center, it's easy to find. Walked in to a pleasant reception and was seated immediately. Offered a menu and drink orders were taken immediately. The decor is nice and softly lite. Our drinks, two draft beers and a water came out quickly. Bread was served with the normal oil mixture. Our meal orders were taken and came out in about 10 minutes. My wife ordered a plate with scallop and shrimp in a marinara sauce over pasta which she said was ok. I ordered a white lasagna which had slices of sausage and broccoli. I enjoyed my dish. We stopped in for takeout pizzas after a day of fishing and pool. The order was supposed to take 40-45 minutes, so we grabbed a drink at the bar. Normally, I go for wine, but felt like a cocktail and ordered a lemon drop martini. It took a few minutes to make, but it was fabulous with lots of fresh lemon juice and a sugar rim. The order was ready on time, if not a few minutes early: two cheese and two veggie pizzas and garlic knots. Both types of pizza were great, with flavorful sauce and plenty of mozzarella. The veggie was PACKED with EVERYTHING (spinach, Broccoli, peppers, onions, olives) and the thin crust held up beautifully to the weight. The garlic knots were just the right size, and coated in just enough butter, Garlic and seasoning. When the plate came out there was overcooked penne pasta swimming in some sort of water. On top of the pasta was a dry piece of chicken with prosciutto wrapped around it with cold hard cheese of some sort. Floating in the water were canned mushrooms . I asked for a bowl of red sauce, thinking I could take the penne out and put it in the sauce. The red sauce was an all purpose canned sauce only. No salt, pepper, seasoning of any kind. My glass of house Chardonnay was tasteless. The bread was cold. My husband had a salad and a pizza. The pizza was doughy and the peppers were overcooked. The pizza is amazing, albeit pricey... but definitely worth the splurge. Service is usually good...tonight was a bit of an exception. Not terrible by any means, but I had to call him back after he delivered our appetizer because he forgot to take our dinner order. And he didn't check on us after delivering the food to see if it was ok or ask if we needed more drinks. We'd love to try some of their other entrees, but the prices of most are really high - even for this area. The decor is pretty, tables are pretty close together but noise hasn't been an issue.
