Riko's is phenomenal! My picky eater kids loved the pizza! The small salad honestly would've fed three people side salads if they had pizza, too. The pizza size is a typical medium pizza, but it was filling. We had two pizzas, one small salad, fountain drinks all around and one beer for $72 before tip. Ordered a pizza to go. Ordering online was easy and the pizza was ready and being walked to the front as I walked in. That's all great! The pizza however was terrible. It's thin crust, which you might think would be crispy but it wasn't. It was chewy in that hard to chew kind of way. Idk what the sauce is. It's more like tomato soup. Idk. Not good. The pizza was greasy. Super greasy. We added ricotta cheese to it, which added nothing to this flavorless pizza. We also did half sausage. The sausage was good but something that bothered me was if you get a topping on the full pizza I think it was $2.50 per topping. If you add it to only half the pizza it's still $2.50. I know for sure there's no way they are using the same amount of sausage on a full pizza as they do for half. I felt it should be half the cost but they don't do it that way. I'm glad we tried this so I wasn't left wondering about it but I'd never go back. If you're a pizza place and the pizza is terrible I don't have much hope for the rest of the menu items. read more

Loved the pizza up north and never tried the hot honey until I was in nc. It was fantastic. Great service (thank you to Lesley- SO nice and great CS very attentive and personable. They clearly hire professional people.) Jay, Chris I assume are owners or managers- they are very nice. Came over to interact with the customers and see how we were doing. Jay realized we are from Norwalk so he made it feel like "home" reminiscing. Sports bar for everyone for sure and the bar area seems to get busy so in excited to see they are embraced by the area. We need good people, good businesses to come to this area and show them how we do it up north (haha my SE friends are cringing right now lol). I'll definitely be back there and I've since gone back about 3 times since my initial visit. Convenient location with ample free parking in the lot and you can't do bad talking kids there with ice cream place next door. Definitely a great family night out too. A+ service but not my favorite pizza overall. First time visiting and I am a pizza lover through and through - especially thin crust - but this just didn't do it for me. It wasn't terrible by any means and still ate a couple of slices, just wasn't anything that I'd rave about but that could also be because I didn't really try their specialty pizzas. I went with a classic veggie and I don't know if it was the way the veggies were cooked or something but I almost wanted them more crunchy. My family tried the clam pizza and said it was fantastic so there's that! I'm not the biggest seafood person so if you are, then that's what I would recommend over a veggie. But as I mentioned, the staff was absolutely delightful and so welcoming and our server was very attentive the entire time. read more

First, shoutout to Riko! The place is clean, has some really cool bathroom art, and plenty of sports on the TVs. I had the Signature Hot Honey Pizza, and let me put it this way: if Mod Pizza and Blaze Pizza had a baby, and that baby turned out to be LeBron James , this would be it. This thing absolutely slaps. Honestly, I wish I would've ordered more, but my back is already big enough as it is. Highly recommend the Hot Honey Pizza. We ordered for takeout so can't comment much on the ambiance or space. The wings are outstanding, 11/10. We wished the celery were packaged separately for to go orders. The pizza is very good. I love the thin crust and haven't had this exact style before. I ordered a cheese pizza with basil. My husband had just pepperoni on his. Ate during their soft opening week on a Friday shortly after 5pm. The restaurant filled up and there was a small crowd of people waiting for a table by 6:30 PM. It is a lot more spacious outdoors vs. indoors. No roof cover outdoors unless you sit at the bar. Luckily the sun was down and there was a nice breeze during our dinner. If you happen to have the sticky, disposable kid placemats, they do not stick on the outdoor tables. Pizza dough is high-quality flour (secret recipe) and made with New York water. It took 10 years to perfect the flour recipe. The dough is matted, poked and put on an oiled double pan, then cooked in a conveyer oven at 590 degrees for 9 minutes. We ordered the Margherita pizza with an addition of Riko's signature sauce for a $2 upcharge and the Nashville hot chicken pizza. There is only one size of pizza. Two pizzas were just enough for me, my partner, and our toddler. They were both great, super crispy. I liked how the sauce and cheese covered a majority of the crust. The Nashville hot chicken pizza was spicy, but tolerable. I liked the sweet and spicy pickles and the ranch sauce on the Nashville pizza. High chairs are available and there is a baby changing table in the handicap stall. They have an app where you can earn points, but it wasn't up and running yet for the Carolina Beach location. The owner Jay stopped by to chat with us, who was very nice. The only negative of our dinner experience was our waitress, who was slow, not attentive or friendly. Fortunately, the owner made up for her lack of customer service. This would be the place to go to if you're looking for high-quality crispy pizza. read more

The food is great. The staff, they're great as long as you're well within the posted closing hours which aren't the kitchen closing hours. If you come anywhere close to when they want to close the kitchen, you'll be made to be like garbage. We were once told we had 5 min to order before the kitchen hen closed. So, we made a quick decision but then another server came up and said they were out of dough and it would be 25 min to make more. (Trying to shut down us making an order?) The bartender asked the owner and he said they had it and we were fine to order. He was nice. Mind you, it was over half an hour before closing time. The next time we went in an entire HOUR before closing time and were told the kitchen was closed. Maybe an adjustment needs to be made. An adjustment definitely needs to be made. I do not like leaving reviews. However, the quality of this so called pizza was so bad, I could not stomach finishing the first slice. No flavor, over priced oily garbage. The salad was over priced chopped lettuce with little else. The Italian dressing was nothing but oil with no Italian dressing spices. They would not let me substitute one vegetable for another vegetable. I've had pizza from east coast to California to Chicago. Riko's is the worst pizza I have ever had. If there is such thing as underside of the bottom of the barrel, then Riko's Pizza is that. This Riko's Pizza is in Carolina Beach, N.C. We ended up at Riko's Pizza after another place we went to was closed (it's Easter) and we were NOT disappointed! For starters, as soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a super friendly hostess, as well as the owner, Jay. Super friendly & welcoming and recommended the wings with their Riko sauce! We are big wing people so, of course, we had to try them! Holy $&!@!!! The flavor was INCREDIBLE!! I could literally eat 20 of them! We also ordered the Hot Honey pizza and BBQ Chicken pizza...both were AMAZING! The thin crust was cooked to perfection! Chased it down with 21 oz Peroni's for the absolute perfect dinner! We are so happy the other place was closed and we ended up at Riko's!! If you're in the mood for great pizza (and yummy, saucy wings), do yourself a favor and go to Riko's! Thursday 3/5 I placed a to-go order of a large cheese pizza with a side salad. The girl said 20 minutes and I showed up 20 minutes later to find my pizza was ready, but my side salad would be a few minutes. I stood there for almost 15 minutes while my pizza got cold watching 4 of the workers huddled around a table in the middle of the restaurant laughing and talking. The to-go window girl took a break from socializing to come back and tell me that the order "never went through" and it would be a "few more minutes"..... My pizza was terrible. The crust was like a sponge. The menu said that it had pickles on it, but they were sweet pickles. the iced tea came out as sweet tea. They didn't ask which kind I wanted. Phenomenal thin crust pizza!! Drove from downtown to try this pizza and it was well worth the drive. We tried the drinks, wings, salad, and pizza and have nothing but good things to say about all of them. Service was amazing and the vibe was laid back sports bar but way better food and drinks.
