Art! This man knows shoes. I had foot surgery a few years ago and I've been having issues with shoes. So, as I showed him my issues- he immediately knew what shoe I needed. I also tried on other kinds of the shoes which I ended up picking the shoes that he first recommended. After just walking around in the store, literally tearing up because my feet have never felt so much support. Not only did he measure my feet and not only did I not know that 1 foot and the other foot were a whole size difference. This was the best experience of my life with shoes. An older man's customer service was horrible. He argued with the instruction that my podiatrist gave me for a shoe. He complained about his prostate cancer. He sold me shoes that hurt my feet. Although I have stepped away from New Balance as a brand (due to style preferences) I still can't recommend the local DFW stores enough (especially Frisco). Staff is well trained and when needing info they have it or can get it. Go in an ask for a foot evaluation. They will measure you, check your gate, ask any issues or pain you have, and then get you 2 or 3 of the best options. read more

My old balance was actually pretty good, but this works too. As far as I know this is the only New Balance store in Dallas. You should probably come and check it out if you're in town. If you like New Balance, this is the store for you, but they don't have a huge selection. Service is pretty good but it's also pretty expensive. Most New Balance stores are, having said that. read more

As promised- I have uploaded a picture of the replacement Skechers. Worn almost daily - to the fitness center - on the treadmill and - also worn out and about running errands. No tear in the upper mesh like those over priced and very delicate NB shoes. I just purchased a different and second pair of Skechers and still haven't spent as much as I did for the NB shoes. Daughter and I went in to purchase 2 pairs of shoes in addition to inserts. We looked around for about 5 minutes waiting for someone to be free to help. A white couple came into the store and just after they closed the door I saw a salesman head in their direction and ask them if they needed help. He had to pass us so I turned to catch his attention because I thought maybe he just got free and didn't see us. He walked by and headed to the check out desk. I guess it's a sign of the times. I told the sales associate, Dallas, I would come by that same day and was surprised he put the shoes aside for me without me even asking. I'm retired and I try to walk for an hour every day. Recently I've been having issues with blisters on my little toe. The sales person at the New Balance store in Frisco suggested that I need a wide shoe. Once I tried on a wide, I could immediately tell that my little toes was no longer under pressure. No one was helpful. I tried my shoes on at the store. They fit great. Got home and wore them twice and they killed my feet. I contacted the store, they said contact corporate, I contacted corporate only to be told that nothing could be done and everything had to done at a local level. Called the store back and was told that there was nothing they could do. So now I am stuck with an $80 pair of shoes that hurt my feet too much to use. Ugh! Gotta love customer service!!! read more

I wanted to invest in some good work out shoes and decided to try out New Balance. This shop is located in the same shopping complex as Fruitealicious and Target. Upon entering I was greeted with a smile and helped immediately. I told the worker what I wanted out of a shoe and she suggested a few shoes as well as measured my size. After trying on the first pair I was in love with them and even ended up just going with the first one and walked out of the store with them on. Both the store and regional manager were rude when I challenged their attempt to ID me during a sale, which is a violation of the rules that merchants are to follow when they take Visa cards at their store. While they can ask for one, Visa does not allow merchants who take their cards to deny a transaction based on a customer's decision not to provide their ID(thereby relinquishing valuable personal information such as name, DOB, address, etc to a complete stranger). I felt extremely uncomfortable and the tone of the manager was downright accusatory in nature. Merchants in my opinion should not require personal info to complete a retail transaction nor attempt to play cop. The receipts at this store don't even have a formal return or exchange policy. It was apparently a "lenient" one but was not written down for customers to view which I find unprofessional. I felt like I was labeled and treated in a highly biased, hateful manner due to my age and my style of dress by the store manager. read more

I had gotten three or four pairs of New Balance shoes at this location, so when I needed a new pair I figured the experience would be about the same. Not so. The clerk asked me what size shoe I wore, but never even offered to measure my foot. I told him I wanted to try on what I'd seen online, because it was lighter. Sorry, they only carry their best sellers. I could order a pair through them, but that seemed silly--I could have a pair sent to me, guessing at the size, and go with a round-robin of order-return-order-return. I left, disgusted, and may not go back. BTW, I was using a $20 off certificate to thank me for my patronage. My patronage is worth more than that, especially when service was so bad. read more

Buying discount shoes at Kohl's is not worth the money when it comes to being comfortable - my 990's continue to serve me well...even after 4 1/2 hours of walking at the State Fair.
