Food was delicious, the vibes were chill and the service was really good! We got one of the kids plates (teriyaki), takoyaki, tonkotsu ramen, and beef pho. All the dishes were pretty good! I was a big fan of the takoyaki, even the kiddos were happy to eat it! I thought the tonkotsu broth was really good, although the meat was a little dry. Service was very efficient, our orders were taken with good timing (neither too short or long of a wait), our bowls and dishes were picked up no more than 1 minute after they were cleaned off. I will say that while the Yelp page says dogs are welcome, only service dogs are. Any pups that aren't service animals aren't permitted indoors and there isn't any outdoor seating. read more

We came to Dtom Dtun for my Birthday and everything was perfect! There was 7 of us and we all ordered different dishes. My 3 year old granddaughter had lo mein and ate more than I've ever seen! Each dish was beautifully prepared and presented. We also received a delicious coconut pudding at the end of our meal. The waitress was so nice and attentive. She gave me a lovely tote bag for my birthday and all the girls were given a cute little coin purse. SO THOUGHTFUL! The restaurant is beautiful inside. Very relaxing and inviting. This was my second visit. (I had lunch last time, which was also delicious) Highly recommend. read more

This restaurant has spectacular food. Most restaurants when you see pictures of the food the real thing is a let down. Not here, the food is elevated to look as beautiful as art. It tastes even better than it looks. I've eaten there several times and tried several of their dishes from different cultures and not only do they absolutely nail the cuisine of that culture the food is incredible. So many options it will make your head spin, but you can always find something to suit your taste. My favorite is the traditional Thai dish Khao Soi Gai (Thai lanna noodles) is incredible. The broth is, slightly sweet, rich, savory and a little warm with spice like a warm hug. The dark meat chicken is just tender enough to come apart with ease. The noodles are wonderful, some are crispy noodles and can be added to the rich broth and add a crunch or some different textures. Served with a variety of condiments its out of this world. Every time I eat their Khao Soi Gai I come away with a mild sence of euphoria. The service is on point. They are always there when you need them but don't hover over you. The entire staff is courteous, gracious, and incredibly welcoming. The decor is something else, its full of rich decorations and details that you can tell a great deal of effort went into it without it being too much. Overall one of my favorite restaurants. Definitely worth a trip to Culpeper just to eat there. There is parking on the street and two parking lots less than 3 minutes walk from the restaurant. Don't past this opportunity up. I know I sound like an ad but I swear I'm not. I'm just an enthusiastic patron of a new favorite restaurant in my home town. Come check it out you won't regret it. read more

My family took me there for Mother's Day this year. The ambiance is beautiful and the service was amazing! Our food was delicious and the portions were large. The plating was beautiful! Im giving this 2 stars but asking you to read the whole review. I HATED this first experience. The food was not worth the price. It wasnt worth the time we waited. It wasnt worth the confusion of ordering or the confusion of the staff when we called several times over the course of OVER an hour to see if our food was ready only to have then say repeatedly they don't find an order... but they did because 1.) They called me when I placed the order to tell me even though their website said delivery and gave the option, they in fact did jot deliver and 2.) When we went in to pick up the order they said they were waiting on 3 things from the order so clearly they saw the order. But each time we tried to ask if it was ready over the phone they couldn't find it. I think this had to repeat my name and number like 5 times each. BUT... and here's their saving grace as far as THAT goes... This was their opening day. Going forward keep that in mind. I will review later because I definitely will give them a second chance. We ordered the BBQ pork and shrimp lo mein. It was.... eh.. the SIZE for the price was just... disappointing. The quality for the price was even more disappointing. The noodles were over cooked basically falling apart when you tried to plate it up. The flavor was mediocre... nothing special but not horrible. Literally every other asian place in town that sells lo mein is better in terms of flavor (with the exception of China Inn but I think they're closed now.) We ordered the Vietnamese Lemongrass chicken dish. This dish... made me want to gice them negative stars but not for flavor. This is a dish I get from a different place all the time. It's a favorite of mine. I pay $18 and some change where i bornally get it, in a big city. So honestly the prices should be comparable. At $25 its not... My review of this dish, sadly is the direct comparison in the places. Dtom Dtun gave these skinny rice noodles but it looked like they played them out in planks and allowed them to dry like that then they folded them and stored them then when ahnorder is made, they pulled them out and placed them layered in the dish trying to be artistic. 1.) That made it look horrible. Like they were trying too hard, or like they were just looking for a way to store the noodles to make things go faster. It was a huge fail for the dish, regardless of the reason and 2.) There wasn't enough noodles for even a single person to get satisfied with This HAD to be a kids portion. But we definitely didn't order the kids portion. There were like 3 of those little planks of rice noodles that were so stuck together you had to eat them as a sheet. The sauce that is served with it gets brownie points because it was great. Exactly what I expected. The veggies could have been better but whatever. The chicken was ok. Not as flavorful as the place I normally get it from, but definitely not bad. This dish would have been great with more rice noodles and maybe sone shredded lettuce added in. The cucumbers being shredded or spiraled instead of in spears would have been a much better fit too imo but honestly that's small details and personal preference. We ordered the Khao Soi Gai. This was by far the worst dish. The meat was so dry and tough it was on the verge of being saw dust texture. The sauce had flavor but it was so... weird. Like it was missing balance. Maybe more salt would have helped, but I'm just not sure. The noodles were in a bowl and looked like they had been sitting there for the entire hour plus that it took them to cook our order. We had to dry them apart with our fingers for any hope of separating when between the people who shared the dish. This also wasn't worth the money fir the portion size OR quality. So 1 star was because the food was at least edible. The ither star was the benefit of the doubt. This was owning day, so there is always going to be a huge wait and a ton of glitches. We will call this a trial run on this place, with hopes for improvement. I honestly expected better quality and am hoping it's just opening day blunders that were the problems. Time will tell. I'll try again in about a month. read more

Went twice for lunch over the last month or so. Got the Pho Bo the first time and a delicious Chinese Noodle Dish the 2nd time. Excellent value for the money, and the interior of the restaurant is very welcoming, clean and bright. I LOVE having this restaurant in Culpeper and I'll certainly bring more guests to try their food in the next month or so. Excellent lunch menu as well and it always filled me up (and I have a healthy appetite). Seasoning is on point, spice levels are great and the staff are friendly and attentive. This is a newly opened restaurant in Culpeper. Of course I was curious and with all the hype and promotion, I was excited to try their food. First, I like the ambience and decor of the restaurant. What I was not impressed with was the quality of the food for the DC price you pay. The soup broth was not hot at all. It was like they just warmed but I expected it to be hot. So that was a disappointment! The kids selection was okay but having picky kids I would have preferred they had other options like fries as well. The portions were pretty good but for those who aren't familiar with the food, you wouldn't know what is just visual versus what you are supposed to eat!! Or are you supposed to eat everything on the plate? Also, the waiters were so eager to bring everything and didn't wait for us to finish or almost finish our appetizers and we ordered a bunch of them. They brought our main dishes within minutes of the appetizers and it almost made me feel like we were hurried. No one checked how things were after we started on our appetizers and we had to ask for someone to fill our waters. So for the price you pay, it's a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT and I don't recommend it. I would rather go to NOVA area and pay the same price for better service and quality. read more

This place is bright and beautifully inviting! The front area hostess Pik greets everyone with a welcoming friendly smile! We've come here several times since their opening and have always had an extremely pleasant experience! Our servers have usually been Plume and Guitar, both have been very knowledgeable about then menu and great with recommendations! We've seen a couple reviews about the cost of the meals but the way we see it, it's supporting a new small business and the price of inflation isn't cheap! If you're going to splurge on going out to eat then you shouldn't complain about paying for it! Otherwise stay home and eat your instant noodles. The portions are more than generous and for the people that stated the prices cost as much as in the city, if you factor in the distance to drive elsewhere and the quality and quantity of food you're getting, as well as time spent getting there then the closer proximity is a no brainer! read more
