Delicious colorful vibrant soft serve! I've been here countless times with my kids! The purple Ube…read moreice cream and green coconutty Pandan ice cream twist is our favorite and love topping it off with Oreo crumbles or sprinkles, and let's not forget the Ube wafers and Taikayi waffle cones! The flavors rotate seasonally with different combo twist flavors and there's now a Mini 6 oz option as well as the 9 oz classic option with unlimited toppings! There are interesting seasonal flavors that are fun to try: - Honey Dew & Guava Cheesecake Twist - The summer flavor and sweetness of the honey dew complemented the exotic guava cheesecake flavor. - Peach Honey Goat Cheese - My favorite summer! The unique flavor is complex with a bit sweetness and a touch of savory. You can taste all of the ingredients. - Sakura: The pink cherry spring flavor wasn't that sweet and a bit tangy. - Kyoto Taro Cheesecake: A great combo of Taro and Matcha Cheesecake twist that's not too sweet and flavorful Ube Cheesecake flavor - A bit bland with a subtle cheesecake flavor. - Watermelon Basil - Fun flavor to try and tastes like a sour watermelon jollyrancher. It pairs well with the Peach Honey Goat Cheese flavor. - Black Sesame - Grey, savory flavor with a hint of bitterness. - Cookies and Cream flavor is a bit bland. - Classic Ube & Pandan Twist: I always resort back to my favorite default sweet and coconutty flavor. The Taikayi waffle cones are delicious. As the stuffed Taikyai is quite decadent, getting it hollow without any filling is the best way to go with the ice cream. Any type of filling with the ice cream becomes overload of sweetness. The Wicked Pandan Float (from the glass cooler) was delicious with layers of green coconut Pandan cheesecake custard pudding on a bed of Oreo Crumbs drizzled with salted caramel dulche leche. All of the flavors pair well together. I wasn't a fan of the Ube Dulce Leche or the Ube Oreo Floater. The Ube custard was a bit bland and didn't like the jelly topping. Skip the floats in the cooler and head straight to order the ice cream! Sign-up with the app and you can score deals and discounts via text and get notified of new flavors and when some flavors retire. My kids and I enjoyed love coming here and sharing a fun sundae! We came here a dozen times during the summer. There's both indoor and outdoor seating.

As soon as you walk in there are tables chairs and stools by the window. Thing's to consider about…read morethe service, if you order via Kiosk you will either get your order in 20 or 40 minutes depending on if the workers are talking in the back not realizing you put an order in. Talk to the people that work there for orders to make sure the one you want isn't running out and to ask if it's being made fresh. The workers don't ask you anything just make the food when they finally do get around to making it. The food is good but expensive for what it is, the service is a 1/100 if that is possible. Food is 6/10 could be better, honestly go to an asian market and buy ice cream there it taste better and is cheaper. Plus you don't have to feel insulted waiting nearly an hour for an order when you're the only one in the restaurant and ordered via Kiosk. The kiosk is there for convenience to disregard customer to worker interaction making it easy to just gloss over orders until they feel a type of urgency when the restaurant floods with people. ONLY THEN will you get your order faster. Upon finding out they were talking to a manager in the back disappointed me more because a good manager would say look we have an order ticket handle this first then we can continue talking but I had to wait for their conversation to end before they even began working on my order. Do i recommend this place If you order via kiosk and don't mind waiting half an hour go for it If you like mediocre mid overhyped food go for it If you value your time and money go to an asian grocery store and buy their ice cream.

Personally just prefer the drinks here, and the customer service is also really good. If you're someone who likes boba or coffee after dinner, I'd highly suggest this place as they have everything from regular coffee/espresso drinks to unique kinds of lattes, and my personal favorite, the Adeni Chai latte. Also there's different types of cakes/desserts that go together perfectly with your drink. Highly suggest the basbousa if you are trying something -- it's perfectly light, yummy, but not too sweet. While it's not super huge, it's still a good size and I often see people in here studying or families gathering to have tea. The ambiance is very welcoming. So overall, I have to rate it as a great cafe. We will obviously be back.

I ordered a simple latte with oat milk, and it was really good. I didn't order the one with spices. Maybe next time! I also asked for it in a mug, which made it extra special. The Lotus Tres Leches cake was a great companion to the coffee, not too sweet. I've also tried the Honey comb cake, and the honey cake, which are not bad at all! I also love how spacious this location is. There's a front and back seating area with the coffee bar in the middle, lots of seats, and the shop is nicely decorated. There's plenty of parking, but it can get tricky during peak hours since it's in a strip mall with lots of restaurants and other shops. Perfect spot to relax, enjoy coffee, and take in the cozy, thoughtfully designed space!

If you're hesitant about it being gamey, don't be! It had a perfect balance of sweetness from the caramelized onions and a distinct, smoky flavor from being torched. For the main, I had the Pan Seared Wild Petrale Sole, which was beautifully cooked and fresh. My friend loved the chicken, and we ended the night sharing a delicious dessert. Bonus: Parking was a breeze--we found a spot on the street right in front of the restaurant. We will definitely be back!

I'll admit, this review is a little biased as my husband and I were frequent diners at Clarity when…read moreit was owned by Chef Jon Krinn as that is where we first encountered Chef Nick and Sam and have been following/supporting them ever since the Clarity transition. We definitely went to the Dabney quite a bit when Sam was working there. But, as for Evelyn Rose - we couldn't be more thrilled. When the Bazins announced that they were selling their restaurant, I honesty couldn't think of better new owners, and they have just nailed it. Food: The food is excellent. Always well-seasoned with lots of choices for all different appetites and preferences. A few specific touches that I personally love - half portions of pasta, options on an a la carte menu as well as a tasting menu (every evening!) and the ability to often order courses a la carte off the tasting menu. Flexibility is the name of their game, and it is truly appreciated. Chef Nick really has a way with fish, and that's frequently what I order there, but honestly, I think only one time did I have a dish that I felt was sub-par (I had a meat dish that was slightly overcooked and a tad dry) but that's a few and far between occurrence. Last night I had the rockfish dish which was perfectly crisped, and the sauce and beans that accompanied it were just perfect. My husband had the gnocchi which was light and fluffy. Service: Sam, the co-owner and Sommelier, is really just amazing at hospitality. He is friendly, warm, and always looking to ensure you are having a great experience. He's put together a small, but well-curated wine list - nothing overly expensive, and wines that you'd 'expect' to see as well as hidden gems. He's always willing to offer advice on wine pairings - not just for the tasting menu but the a la carte menu, which is always appreciated by my husband and I. Aside from Sam, generally, the service is attentive most times we have dined there - most of the time, if the service is lagging a bit, it's usually because they are packed! Vibe: Evelyn Rose has a cozy, warm vibe. Lots of exposed wood and blue and gold tones throughout the restaurant. Do note that it can get loud, especially on weekends when they are packed. Other: We are very blessed to have such an excellent restaurant down the street. Don't take my word for it - we were at Albi just a few nights ago and when we mentioned to the bartender we live in Vienna, they said "oh, have you been to Evelyn Rose?" (seriously!) Coming from a bartender at a one-star Michelin restaurant...I'd say that's quite the compliment. Looking forward to many more dinners at Evelyn Rose!
