I was in Tysons and decided to stop by. I was surprised that it was literally just a truck; no parking lot and nowhere to sit outside. I had to circle the gas station a couple of times to figure out where to park. I wish they had better/bigger space with actual parking. And tables/benches to sit and eat there if you wanted to. I had about a 20 minute drive home and it the dessert wasn't as hot of course. But it was still good! I got the fusion with Nutella.

Second time's a charm! We stopped by for a late-night snack and had the grand kunafa -- so good. The cheese was perfectly gooey and paired really well with the pistachio. Definitely coming back to try the Nutella one next time

Food truck in Tysons behind the Shell gas station near Joon. There is a good amount of parking. Service: I spoke to the 2 young men helping him whom I think maybe the owners. They are super friendly and told me they actually shipped the cheese in. They wanted to make the kanafe as authentic as they can. I even saw them hand out some water to customers that were enjoying their desserts. Food: even before I got my dessert, the customers eating next to the truck was like "It's SO GOOD!" And another customer came with a friend and told him "This is the best I've had anywhere and I've had a lot" So they had paid customers hyping their product up... and the verdict: DELICIOUS. I got the crispy version which was golden goodness that is irresistible. I know I will be back for their original! Guys you gotta stop by and get some amazing desserts here.

I fell in love with Kunafe / kunafa / knafeh in Istanbul after trying one from Chef Dogan who was born in Antakya, Southern Turkey, near the Syrian border. No matter how you spell it or pronounce it, you have to eat it. This dessert is made with spun pastry dough cooked crispy, on top of mild cheese and soaked in a sweet, sugar-based syrup topped with pistachios. The Kunafa Truck brings the real deal to the DMV. How authentic is it? Very. The owner, a great guy named Mo, originally from Jordan, had the food trailer made in Dubai, outfitted it in Jordan with traditional revolving gas stove tops, and shipped it to the US. Different regions have their own variations. This version is Jordanian and Palestinian known as Knafeh Nabulseyeh (from Nablus). He even imports the famous Nabulsi cheese (a wonderful, mild, white brined cheese). Don't miss this.

Different dessert experience! Delicious.... Crispy, cheesy, sweet! Go for the original with pistachios

This is hands down the BEST kunafa I've had in the U.S. Fresh, hot, and absolutely addicting! The Kunafa Truck in Tysons Corner is a hidden gem that delivers true Middle Eastern flavor with a modern twist. You can watch them make it fresh right in front of you, which only adds to the experience. The kunafa is perfectly crispy on the outside, filled with warm, gooey cheese on the inside, and topped with just the right amount of fragrant syrup. I went for the classic with crushed pistachios--chef's kiss! They also have options like Nutella if you want to switch it up. The guys working there are super friendly and efficient, even when there's a long line (which there often is--because it's THAT good). The vibe is fun and energetic, especially in the evenings. If you're near Tysons Corner and craving something sweet, this is a MUST-TRY. I promise you, one bite and you'll be hooked! Located next to the Shell station on Leesburg Pike--easy to find, and worth the drive.

OMG don't sleep on this kunafa truck! We pull up on a Saturday afternoon and there's about a dozen people waiting, all Mediterranean and middle eastern, which is a good sign. Scan the QR code for the menu but I already studied it lol! Placed my order, crispy grand kunafa for one, since it's only for me. Took about 15 mins but you get it nice and hot! With an extra portion of sugar syrup! Couldn't wait so I took a bite and it was heaven!

WOW! Finally! Freshly made Kunafa in the DMV! This is such a wonderful idea. Ramadan is the perfect time to have this truck. The Kunafa staff are the sweetest just like their deliciously made kunafa. Line does get long however they are able to make multiple kunafas at once. They offer different sizes and flavors. Kunafa is best eaten warm/hot. Best of luck and hope a storefront opens soon.

Omg absolutely delicious. Never head it before and I saw it on korean TV show ... Lol and luckily there is spot in DMV. Dessert can't be any nicer than this

Original Pistachio kunafa Very good sweet, crunchy, and nutty

The dessert they have here are very good i personally recommend the fusion & original. I tried the DC variant but it was a complete miss (IMO) the filling had grits like texture and just wasn't good. Everything else though a definite 9/10! Must try!! They make it fresh so expect to wait around 10 mins, nonetheless it's worth every bite

I followed their recommendation and tried the Doner Wrap and the Börek, and both were fantastic! The portions were very generous, and the Doner was unlike any other I've tried -- full of flavor, perfectly seasoned, juicy, and with an amazing authentic sauce that really stood out. The Börek was also excellent -- so tasty and flaky that I ended up saving some for breakfast the next morning! I'll definitely be back. What a find!!! I have to mention the amount of flavors bursting forth before anything else. 1st bite- we were sold. Never said this B4 in a review - these tacos could not have been any better, in any way, than they were here. Juicy and tender, we tried 5 types, the beef birria, goat birria, chicken tinga, chicken+chorizo, and beef tinga. All equally great. Then Sopas chicken tinga, beer birria So fabulous too. Loved every single bite. Small place, very casual with several inside tables, more outside. Sat down for some, carryout for more. Carryout was well packaged- self serve some of the 3 sauces to go to try. Green is avocado/tomatillo mix, red is hotter/sharper, orange (kickin/creamy) good. Decent sized menu but not trying to do everything- smart move. Because everything they do they do extremely well. Before we even left, I said "If we lived here , I'd be coming here almost every week". It's that good. We're both retired chefs and cook at home constantly, but this was something special. Do Not Miss.

Enh...I suck at rhymes. On to the food! The Dude was parked near my office and I just had to pay him a visit on this bright sunny Tuesday. I jumped into my sleek high end vehicle (a banged up 1999 old car) and raced as fast as I could to the Dude's location....as fast as you can go without having the wheels of a poo poo ride pop off. Less than five minutes after leaving my office, I spotted the Dude's truck. The truck was huuuuuuuuge and had the same cheerful surfing chef logo that is on his website. On the recommendation of a friend, I embarked on this trip to: 1) Check out Doug's food and the highly recommended steak fajita egg rolls. 2) Snatch up the first to review (FTR) for this business. Wa-hoo! After scanning the lunch menu, all thoughts of a steak fajita egg roll left my mind as the Parmesan crusted Salmon wrap caught my eye. Oh decisions, decisions. What to do? Well I did what any self respecting fat boy would do; I ordered both. Here are my thoughts: - Parmesan Crusted Salmon Wrap ($8): Holy crap this was good! The Parmesan crust wasn't that powdered Kraft Parmesan you get at the local grocery store. No my friends, the Parmesan was the real deal. Each bite of the Salmon had that tasty melted Parmesan flavor which was enhanced by the fresh (Romain?) lettuce, raw onion slices and a delicious chipotle sauce. Everything was held together by a flour tortilla which helped me expedite the process of shoving my face full of tasty Salmon goodness. 5 stars for this refreshing wrap. - Fajita Steak Egg Rolls ($9): The fajita steak egg rolls (which are baked, not fried) were served on top of a generous serving of white (cabana) rice mixed with small pieces of red bell pepper. The rice itself had a mild 'n tasty spicing that was a perfect "blank" canvas/bed for a more flavorful entree. The egg rolls themselves were okay, and a bit disappointing compared to the Parmesan Crusted Salmon Wrap. The egg rolls appeared to be big, but had a thick flaky too doughy exterior leaving little room for the filling. The actual filling of steak fajita meat was deliciously spiced and well flavored. The entire dish came with a very very good pico-de-gallo like salsa which added flavor to the rice and complimented the steak flavor quite well. 3 stars for this dish. While I waited for my meal, I talked to the Dude (Doug Maheu) who was a very personable and nice gentleman dressed in a bright red Hawaiian like shirt. I could tell he was proud of his food truck and happily talked about what separates his food from the other food trucks. He was such a nice guy, you can't help but wish him and food truck the best of luck and a very long & prosperous career. Based on today's meal, I am definitely going to make a return visit to the Dude's truck as I had my eye on the Chipotle Chicken wrap. Oh yes, that wrap will be MINE! :-) The most important thing you need to know about Doug the Food Dude which separates him from other food trucks: The Dude accepts both Visa and Mastercard!! Oh yeah, you can also follow him on twitter @ dougthefooddude (http://twitter.com/dougthefooddude) to see where he'll be parked that day. Boo-ya! Way to go Dude!! :-)
