I've been to this coffee shop a couple of times! If you want to experience authentic Yemeni coffee, head straight to Qamaria! They offer a variety of Yemeni coffees to try. I ordered a simple latte with oat milk, and it was really good. I didn't order the one with spices. Maybe next time! I also asked for it in a mug, which made it extra special. The Lotus Tres Leches cake was a great companion to the coffee, not too sweet. I've also tried the Honey comb cake, and the honey cake, which are not bad at all! I have been to a Qamaria food truck before but never the actual cafe. The pistachio latte was amazing and I really enjoyed that. Easily the star of the show. We also got the honeycomb cake and a kunafa cupcake and unfortunately none of them really blew me away. I would definitely skip next time. I would be open to trying more drinks here though. read more

I was excited to try this place! I haven't had Yemeni Coffee before and I thought it was very cool that they had Yemeni pastries as well. Unfortunately, the food didn't stand out to me and I was quite disappointed. My Qamaria Latte was nothing special. I thought I would taste the spices more but it just tasted like a regular latte, even a little heavy on the milk. The Honey Cake was also nothing special; I actually didn't taste the honey. Qamaria is a nice, clean and easily accessible coffee spot in downtown Vienna with a mix of beverages and treats to enjoy. The day we were there, we ordered a mango smoothie which had nice mango flavor and a mocha. For nibbles, we opted for the large Nutella croissant and the honey cake which is what they recommended when we asked. Many of the desserts in the case looked homemade which is a good thing in my book. The honey cake was a new treat and we enjoyed it but would have loved even more honey flavor. This Yemeni coffee shop in Vienna has been open for a little while now, and I don't know why I haven't been here sooner! Qamaria has a big menu, but I wanted to try some of their signature drinks. I tried the Qamaria latte; it has two double shots of espresso, cardamom, cinnamon, and honey. This was really tasty and not too sweet. Now, for the drink that was hands down so good that I would absolutely come back to get it again: the pistachio latte. This had a great balance between the pistachio and espresso. 10/10 would recommend. Besides their obnoxiously low benches, this place is absolutely amazing for a really good cup of coffee, delicious croissants, or mouthwatering desserts. You have to try their pistachio tres leches (a total show stopper) or their signature Qamaria latte with cardamom flavor. Each bite will warm you up in a way you've never felt before. I give this place a 10/10. I have been here a million times, and Qamaria never fails. There are currently two Yemeni coffee houses in the area, but I am very loyal to the Vienna location. Personally just prefer the drinks here, and the customer service is also really good. If you're someone who likes boba or coffee after dinner, I'd highly suggest this place as they have everything from regular coffee/espresso drinks to unique kinds of lattes, and my personal favorite, the Adeni Chai latte. Also there's different types of cakes/desserts that go together perfectly with your drink. Highly suggest the basbousa if you are trying something -- it's perfectly light, yummy, but not too sweet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While it's not super huge, it's still a good size and I often see people in here studying or families gathering to have tea. Super unimpressed. Went in and was told to order at the kiosk while we were looking in the case. We did so, but I couldn't find the pastries I was interested in on the kiosk menu. I wanted to try the beef or butternut squash pastries. Oh, well - figured I'd try the other savory option, the breakfast egg croissant. The description said it had melty cheese and zaatar seasoning on the crispy croissant. When I tried to add it to my cart, I had to select American cheese AND regular cream cheese for an additional $.50 each. I was super confused as they were part of the description, so it seemed odd to select them and add them as extras. I couldn't add the order unless I did so, though. I asked the girl behind the counter and she admitted that it was a glitch and said she could give me back 50 cents if I wanted. Now I look like a grumpy customer, so I declined her offer and proceeded with my order. See pic. What I received had no flavor (zaatar, where are you???), the cheese was not melty at all. The croissant wasn't crispy in the least...and the eggs? A greenish blue. The whole thing wasn't even warm. Maybe on the edges, like it had been microwaved for 30 secs. Not appetizing, but I already felt like I'd been a difficult customer, so wasn't eager to raise a complaint. BTW, the plain cream cheese was just weird, overkill. Maybe that's how they do it in Yemen, but it doesn't make me feel interested in visiting this establishment again...Yemen. My son had the Nutella croissant and thought it was very good. It was crispy and seemed fresher. My husband had the pistachio tres leches cake and it was good, but he didn't feel like it was anything super special. Seemed like it had been in the case for a while. I don't get the sense that their food is super fresh and very much doubt it's made on site. My husband's coffee with cardamom was delicious. My matcha was just fine. Overall, I wasn't super impressed and will not be eager to be back. I worked a 14 hour day and was heading to D.C. for a late dinner and I went out of my way to go here because the one from the day before was so good I wanted to get another while I was in town. The energy was way off when I went in and my drink was terrible. I was so bummed. I feel like the honeycomb cake and the honey cake don't have a lot of honey to them. However, they are sweet and they are very aesthetically pleasing for Ramadan. They have the hot date latte, Frappuccino, or iced latte. The hot date latte was good and very naturally sweet. The matcha latte is not very good since it was a bit clumpy even though the color was beautiful. The café is very aesthetically pleasing, but I feel like the food and drink is lacking somewhat. Okay...so I gave this place a 3 because I enjoyed the items I got, but they did not follow instructions on my bees bread. I asked for extra honey and they did not give it to me. Another nit pick is that the cream cheese the bread was not evenly pocketed. And some parts of it was dry. Flavor wise it is ok, but not the best I've had. As far as the iced matcha mango latte. I LOVE QAMARIA! This location and Yelp page is for the coffee truck in Falls Church btw - the Vienna location was opened after this and is a brick and mortar. I have visited that location as well, but this coffee truck is still operating, which is great since its closer to me than Vienna and is not crowded. It's located near Sky Lounge and the Red Bird with plenty of parking spots, and is easy to locate since it's on the empty side of the lot. I've tried the following items (inclusive of both locations): - Pistachio Latte: got this back in Ramadan from the truck when it was cold, so this was good - Iced Adeni: (from vienna location) this was okay, but I feel I'd stick to this hot bc the strong spiced flavors would be better - Rose tres leches: (from vienna location) wasn't a huge fan - quite frankly felt like I was eating pink cake with whipped cream and had rose petals on top (there was no rose flavor in anything). - Qamaria Latte: got this hot from the truck last night with caramel as my sweetener and this was a home run!! Absolutely loved this!! It was not overly sweet and the spices weren't overpowering. Likely will become my go-to! I typically order in my car when I want to pick up from here and just go up to the truck once I get the text my order is ready. Great for a pick up and go, especially if you're in the area or passing by. Def recommend! read more

My friend and I originally were going to a soft opening of a deli nearby, but they actually sold out so we drove down the street to this quaint and nice cafe. Qamaria had been on my list for a long time, so I'm so happy we could visit. The staff at the cash register was super nice last Sunday morning, and she was so helpful in suggesting some drinks and desserts based on asking what flavors we like. Her recs were on point! Im usually an iced coffee drinker, but she encouraged us to get the hot lattes and it really gave the ultimate fall vibes like she said: cinnamon and cardomom is a perfect mix in coffee!!!!! The rest of the staff was friendly as well and the coffee and food came out in no time. Our spread was plated so well, and aesthetically pleasing with the colorful tray and latte art. I appreciated the attention to details. The honeycomb cake was my favorite dessert we got, it was not too sweet and reminded me of an Asian pastry. The cafe started filling up with someone doing laptop work, a pair chatting, and some other guests. I came here with my GF for breakfast. -She got a regular iced latte while I opted for their "Qamaria Latte". We both enjoyed our drinks, but I especially liked mine. However, despite the place being fairly empty, the service was a bit slow, and I had to wait a while for my drink and cake to come out. Qamaria Iced Latte - 4/10: This wasn't for me. It tasted like a mix of strong honey ginger and burnt sugar, which wasn't too pleasant. If you're not a fan of strong, scented flavors, this drink might not be for you. This was coffee spot #2 of 4 for me & fellow Yelper, HeideAnn during our coffee marathon. I came in with tunnel vision and was set on ordering the Pistachio Latte, which was $7.25. I was so focused on this drink, I forgot to ask for a different milk and to order the honeycomb pastry!! A lighter milk would definitely help the flavors come out more.......note to self for next time and anyone else who plans on ordering this drink. Some of their prices are on the higher end, and that's not factoring in alternative milk options. Their cakes look like they are freshly made and displayed in the original pans in which they were baked. There is a small "hallway" leading from the register to the seating area, which I appreciate. This allows customers to enjoy their drinks/food without worry about other customers waiting in line and hovering around them. Upon arrival, the place was empty, but it started filling up slowly. I can imagine this cafe gets crowded in the evening or even weekday mornings. The decorations are perfect and sets the mood. There is parking in front of and around the coffee shop. Would I return? I ordered the Adeni chai on ice upon recommendation of my friend who had visited the day prior. The iced chai tasted delicious! It had subtle notes of cardamom and cloves. Unfortunately, I think the chai is made in advance so I couldn't substitute oat milk for the regular whole milk. Also, the chai was n the sweeter side and could not be adjusted. The atmosphere at this cafe is peaceful and beautifully decorated.
