We had great dinner, drinks, and service at Dublin! It's definitely a dive bar vibe but the food was actually very good. I ordered the spicy chicken wrap and loved it. My friend ordered the lamb shank and the flavor was delicious. Our server Marco was exceptional - so friendly!

We went here because our hotel clerk suggested it when we were hungry at midnight and wanted a bar that served food. It was just down the street from our hotel and in such a lively location! There were always people walking by. We went every night of our trip, and it was packed every single night! Including a Wednesday! The food was delicious. We were addicted to ordering the soft pretzel and Reuben every single night. The drinks were fast and strong. I continued to order a gin & tonic and then tried an Irish coffee on our last night. Both great! The best part of this place was our server. He consistently took care of us (and started to remember us) and despite the insane crowds in there every night, he provided the best bar service we've ever received. Truly a great guy and I wish we got his name. We will be going back here next time we're in Chicago!

Great first time experience here!! Came in on a Saturday and we're IMMIDIATELY sat! Great attentive service, fun atmosphere and the food wasnt bad either! I got a burger and would order again! We also ordered shots which was fun hahha!! Also dog friendly I guess hahaha we saw a pug getting the belly rub of his life!

I love this place and I love that it's in the middle of all the steakhouses , but it's just this little golden gem only regulars know about or people end up stumbling into. There was a little bit of both on Friday early evening when I went. They have a solid beer list and everything is decently priced for being in that part of town.

This is my favorite bar in Chicago. I might be biased because I had a dog once named Dublin ... but there is always so many fun different groups of people there from college reunions to wedding parties. I always enjoy my very boring vodka sodas, and the latest time I visited I got the cheeseburger. It was sooo good. I can't wait for my next excuse to go out and end the night with a drunk cheeseburger! Definitely chose this as your next place to gather with friends, have some drinks and have a fun time!

I stopped in after a night out with the girls and was shocked that they had a full service menu after midnight. The server was quick and attentive, especially for it to be a packed bar and late at night. I got the chicken parmesan, it was ok, just a little too cheesy and the chicken/sauce could do some more seasoning/flavor. I also had the cheesy poppers and they were good, I really enjoyed them. I would go back for cocktails and to try some other items.

As you can probably tell from the name, the vibe of Dublins is an Irish Pub. It's nearly impossible to find somewhere casual in Gold Coast, but Dublins is perfect if you don't feel like dressing to the nines for dinner and/or drinks. Perfect place to watch sporting events too. They had high quality bar food from my experience. I got their spicy chicken caesar wrap, which I was only slightly disappointed with because it tasted more like a buffalo wrap than caesar. I loved that it came on a little bed of caesar salad though and I also loved that the chicken was breaded inside. Worth checking out if are looking for bar food, just want to grab a beer or a place to watch a game!

We decided to pop into this small inconspicuous little pub named Dublin as we meandered through the streets of The Gold Coast in Chicago. It's small and cozy with an obvious local clientele. Always a good sign. The staff are friendly and welcoming. This bar opens very early and stays open very late. They also do food. The menu is pretty big. I had a grilled cheese sandwich and fries which hit the spot. Very well priced here!

Food was terrible. Even something simple as caesar salad and calamari... Salad was room temperature. Not refreshing at all. No taste because essentially no dressing at all. Spicy Calamari was drenched in buffalo sauce which I didnt expect because i thought itd be a normal fried calamari app with maybe banana peppers or something but it was extremely mushy and odd to serve with cocktail sauce too

Do they allow pets on their patio?

We allow service animals on the patio, some pets may be allowed if the onsite staff feels that there is enough room to accommodate your pet and that your pet is well behaved and will not make other guests feel uncomfortable.

    Can I make reservations?

Sorry for the very late response, we just recently regained access to our yelp. But at this time we do not allow reservations, only walk-ups.

    Do they have highchairs?

Yes they do. The are family friendly on the restaurant side

He was not lying- the sandwich has an amazing balance of corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss- then they go one step further and mix it all up with the Thousand Island dressing so it's a perfect bite, every ingredient, every time. The cheese curds came with a dill aioli, and marinara sauce. I was hooked on the aioli, nice way to cut back on the richness by using acidity and herbs. Cameron was my server, and Jessica was behind the bar. Both were awesome! Full disclosure, I went last night again, this time to meet up with friends before flying home. Jimmy was back from vacation and he's a rock star. Manages to keep everyone with a full glass and just good to chat with when he's not so busy (sorry I got so talkative Jimmy!) The entire group here is great. Makes it feel like family when you're here. I left Chicago 5 years ago but I feel like I never left when I'm here at O'Leary's. It's a half-pound burger with Irish cheddar and Irish bacon and it's SO good. It's $19 and comes with a side, so honestly pretty reasonable for River North. The giant pretzel is another must. It's $15 and comes with cheese sauce, bacon jam and mustard. Get it for the table and dunk away lol. The sliders are also really good. And this is where I had my first Guinness! I was skeptical but it did not disappoint. The ambiance is half the reason I love Kerryman though. Their patio is amazing in the summer with all the flowers outside, but if you really want the full experience, go when there's a big football/soccer match on. It gets PACKED and I've seen the line go out the door, but that's part of the fun. Everyone is watching the game, drinking Guinness and yelling at the TVs. It's such a good time. Now the honest part, because I think it helps to know before you walk in. We came in hunting for an old Dublin snug, the dark wood and low ceiling and worn brass kind of place, and D4 is not that. To be fair to them, they never claimed to be. The room is modeled after a Dublin townhome, bright and open, traditional details sitting alongside modern ones, with two fireplaces and a garden patio out back. It is handsome and it is comfortable, and it also reads more American pub than Irish local. If you were hoping to feel like you ducked in off a rainy side street in Ballsbridge, set your expectations accordingly. The room was the one letdown of our night. The kitchen made up the ground. The fish and chips are enormous, easily enough for two, beer battered Icelandic cod that arrived crisp and clean instead of heavy and slick, which is a lot harder to pull off than it looks. Add the shoestring fries with truffle aioli on the side. Worth knowing, and it earns them some credit on the authenticity question: this is a neighborhood-owned place that has been on Ohio Street since 2007, and co-owner Brendan McNeill is actually from Ballsbridge, right inside the Dublin 4 postcode the name comes from. Four stars. If you want atmosphere that feels imported from Ireland, keep looking. If you want a perfect pint of Guinness and a genuinely good plate of fish and chips in Streeterville, this will take good care of you.
