We've used Dublin Glass on two different occasions. With both instances we've received nothing but the best service and quality of work. 1st time: We purchased a glass top for our square dining table. Our table seats eight people, so it's a good size piece of glass that we needed. Pam helped us out with the ordering. She was very knowledgeable and even deterred us from buying a thicker glass even though she could have made more money off of us. The custom piece of glass was ordered and delivered in less than two weeks. My fiance called around and Dublin Glass had the best price. 2nd time: Since we worked with them before I decided to call back Dublin Glass for an emergency install for a front window that was broken, this was on a Monday. We were leaving on vacation on Wednesday, so I needed the window to be fixed before then. I spoke to Pam and explained what needed to be done and right away she sent someone over to come and measure out our window. Since Pam kindly scheduled us right away they were able to get the order in for our custom window on Monday. First thing in the morning on Wednesday before our flight, one of their guys came in and finished the installation in less than an hour. Pam and Dublin Glass made the whole ordeal so simple and easy! It's no wonder why this place gets 5 stars!!! Awesome.. always service with a smile. Britney is always a sunshine when we visit Dublin Glass. We came in with the purpose of buying glass for our bake shop here in Pleasanton. Our first purchase was the seeded glass for my mini office in the bake shop. They have SO MANY OPTIONS, and samples readily available for you to look at, so you get what you ordered. No second-guessing needed. Glass was cut perfectly, and our product was ready in 3 days from the time we ordered. Our second purchase came around when we had a major debacle happen in the bake shop. The glass to our bakery display case CRACKED!!! We had purchased this bakery case in a gently used condition, but having to shift it around 25 times in the bake shop made the structure unstable and wonky. Eventually when we tried to align it ourselves, the tempered glass shattered. My heart sank. Dublin Glass Co. came to our rescue. We called them, and they apparently had made an install for broken glass in a refrigeration unit for a flower shop as well. We knew then we could depend on them to fix our problem. They arrived promptly at 10:00am, and when it got complicated, they got back up help from Mark who arrived shortly to help out. Mark stayed here for about 5 hours.. not only did he install the glass (which was in itself a feat), he also helped us to align the case and when he was done, we got a solid glass bakery case. It looked even stronger and more aligned than when we first got it. I wish we could add another star for Mark's patience, professionalism and positivity and confidence to get the job done. Dublin Glass is great! Everyone there is so helpful and friendly. They recently installed a shower door for our bathroom remodel. We chose a glass tile that turned out to be very fragile. It broke twice when they were drilling it. But Pam and Mike were wonderfully helpful and finally Jason was able to get the door installed without any tiles breaking. I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again. But I don't think I'll use that tile again. read more

One of my glass doors from my shower had fallen out of the frame and I didn't know how to fix it. I emailed Dublin Glass with photos and inquired how to fix the problem. Brittany from Dublin Glass responded with instructions and recommendations. He saved me a lot of money telling me how to do it myself. I scrapped off the old silicone with a razor tool from Home Depot. I purchased 100% silicone and reattached the frame and let dry for 24 hours. The shower doors work great. We ordered a custom piece of glass for a bar top which required a number of cutouts to accommodate the layout and the process to get the glass from order date to install was over 2 months (that's why 4 instead of 5 stars). I appreciate their dedication to getting the job done 100% right - two previous glass tops proved unacceptable to their inspection - and finally the glass top was installed and came out great. I would have loved to give a higher rating, as I really like the table top I ordered, but the delivery charge left a bitter taste in my mouth. Why should a delivery charge ($50)be 1/3 of an items cost when the destination is less than two miles from the warehouse? When I challenged the person who took my phone order on the cost, she replied the high delivery fee was due the need of an "experienced glass installer". It's a tabletop, not a shower door....the installer brought the glass in house, wiped it down with a cloth, and put it on the table. Took less than 10 minutes and was no where near worth the excessive installation cost. Inflexible policies are the key to unhappy Customers.... read more

I have to withdraw my earlier review based on our second experience. We are trying to have the mirrors replaced in another bathroom and can't seem to get it done. First they insisted on having someone come to measure so we waited a week for that. Then we waited several days for the estimate which ended up being under quoted be several hundred dollars. Then they scheduled delivery and then called us two hours into our delivery window and told us that they did not even have the mirrors and would call the next day to reschedule. Five days later I finally called them after not hearing anything and was told the person I needed to talk to was on another line and would call me right back. That was about 5 hours ago and they are now closed for the day. I think we will be trying someone else next time. read more

We had a single window replaced at our house. While the quality of the window seems fine, the installation was a bit disappointing. A couple of guys came by and removed the old window and put in the new window. The window was sticking really far out of the wall, but they were going to add wood trim at a later time. I figured the trim would at least be flush with the window. Well, it wasn't. It just looks weird and seems like the window shouldn't stick out past the trim. We paid almost $200 for the wood trim alone so it was a bit disappointing. read more

Got a new semi-frameless shower door for an odd shaped custom tile shower. The tile was slate and very irregular. The door took about a week to get and was installed in one day. I had two dual pane windows fail this winter - fogged up and leaked. I got a ballpark estimate in a matter of minutes by phone and a home visit/ formal free estimate the next day. The price was surprisingly reasonable, and despite needing two custom sized dual pane windows (one very large) they had them made to order within 7 days. The replacement glass was of a higher quality and thickness than the original windows. What a positve experience.
