I had a great experience at Duc de Lorraine in Montreal. I ordered the beef tartare and mentioned that I'm gluten sensitive, and they were very accommodating, swapping out the bread for radishes and cucumbers without any issue. The portion of beef was quite generous, and the flavour was absolutely on point, fresh, well seasoned, and really well balanced. Overall, a great spot with thoughtful service. I'd definitely come back.

It's a cute French restaurant with a great dessert offerings! Make sure you leave room for dessert! The service was great and the food portions were huge. We had salmon avocado toasts, croquet-monsieur, and smash burger. All were great. We also had several desserts.

Come with more time than you think. Duc de Lorraine is a beautiful restaurant that features a wrapping terrace for dining that is popular amongst locals and tourists alike. When the sun is shining, I recommend one of their delicious drinks and pending desire, their meals are great, but the desserts are better. Even popping in for a little treat appears to be a quite popular trend. Their macaroons are delicious, every single flavor, and paired with my Espesso Martini nicely. Though there is a lot of waitstaff working, be prepared to spend a lengthy bit of time here. This is likely a combo of the classic culture of enjoying the weather and atmosphere, but also due to what appeared to be miscommunication between the staff. Several people around us requests their bills multiple times, a couple tables got quite irritated. Lucky for us we had more time, but also had to request to pay twice and remind our waitstaff to box up our remaining desserts.

The food was fine. Wasn't too special in my opinion? Bread was tasty. The service was a bit redundant; we got asked the same things multiple times by different people. Could use better communication. Pastries looked tasty so would go to just get those next time.

Stopped by here for a weekend break to initially just grab some pastries but last minute to grab a table which they had. Service was overall friendly with frequent check ins to make sure our cups of water were being filled. We ordered a crepe to share and two iced coffees. The crepe was good but definitely also quite pricey. The iced coffee also was stronger than I'm used to so something to note for the caffeine sensitive. Generally speaking, the things we ordered were good. The place itself is pretty with lots of natural light coming in through the dining area. The front has the pasties with lots of cute treats. The higher price makes me lean closer to 3.5 but the ambiance and service makes me feel that rounding up makes sense.

I love it. It's my favourite place. Sure some things can be expensive, and it's not an everyday place, but coffee, sweet treats and their food just hits every-time. Service is also great too!!! The kindest servers ever. #Noemie4ever. The vibes are both fancy and casual at the same time. The view of the oratoire and the decors inside are quite the cherry on top. 10/

Phenomenal service, fun and upscale environment. Delicious food and good portions. Lemonade is freshly squeezed lemonade... get the cameras ready for some funny face shots. Dessert we took to go.

Located a few blocks of St Joseph's Oratory, this patisserie was an eye opening stop. The bistro tables were full and there was a short wait to order at the bakery and coffee counter. There was so many gorgeous choices. I have never seen so many good baked goods before at once. They were very large and good to share. The croissant didn't have a lot of layers but more air inside. We got our order to go and sat outside under the trees in some of the low chairs.

Definitely a tourist spot, so the prices will reflect that as well as the bad music. BUT if you're up for it, this is a cute spot with good food (and it's right off the hop-on-hop-off route). The French toast was absolutely delectable. Made with brioche bread (better than challah!) and served with a blueberry compote, mascarpone cream and some sort of chunky shavings on top. Major sugar-rush! My date had the Roastbeef sandwich and he would totally recommend it. Our waiter was gracious, friendly and attentive. Should this be on your "must go" list? No. But if you find yourself in the neighborhood and you're hungry, it's absolutely a good stop.

Excellent food but definitely not worth the money! Great for a one time visit for the experience. Two people for breakfast cost us close to $200 and although the food was good the service was awful. The busboys and staff were very inexperienced and did not know how to ensure clients got what they needed during the service. I actually had to get up and go get things. Super quaint place that reminds me of France. I suggest heading there for just dessert and coffee then you cannot go wrong!

The mushroom quiche was extremely delicious.

This place is one of our favorite bakeries/restaurants in Montreal. The entire property is beautifully designed and decorated. The service was excellent and the food looked and tasted excellent. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

It's a beautiful restaurant, they cover a wide area within the hotel, including a lounge area, a more cocktail bar area, and a full restaurant set up. The beauty? They cover anything you might want. The downside? They're busy and usually severely behind schedule. I've been with great, consistent staff and I've been and left after 20 minutes of no check in. It can be hit or miss, but when it hits? It hits. They also provide the food that you order up to your room, which is probably my favorite part. Hotels rarely offer the same great menu to your room and so I always know when I've had a long workday that I can just get the same great dinner and lounge in bed after and avoid people. They also are great at getting breakfast to your door early, which makes trips to Montreal so much easier, especially if you're going for work. They always have a great selection of drinks, full bar so they offer everything, and the bartenders has been the same for at least a couple years. They're really nice. They do a good job. Ask for the food, it is always good, and the part I love is that they're very good about allergies when you mention it to them. They offer gluten-free bread and they change out ingredients. I've never had a bad meal or snack. So even when sometimes the weight is too long I know I'll be back another day and I'll have something great.

There is a bar in front with lounge style seating. It was eclectic and the music had a French twist. I ate lamb the first night and steak the night after. Both delicious but I liked the lamb better and the nioch was a nice touch. The thinly sliced fries with the steak was difficult to eat. The octopus was amazing and soft. Overall great and attentive staff and good food.
