Went here on a Wednesday night for a double date night. They take walk ins only but arrive early enough and it shouldn't be a problem. My wife has been looking for a good soup dumpling place/xiaolongbao for the longest time since we moved here. This place did not disappoint! Being born and raised in Flushing Chinatown from NYC, this place felt like home from the ambiance to the multitude of different flavors in their in apps and entrees. My friends whom never had Peking Duck previously said it was the bomb diggity bomb. Of note, you can only order it with dining in. You can only get the half duck if you're a party of 3 or less but half should be more than enough. An added plus, this place is BYOB!

I have been craving duck for a while now, this place popped up and I had to give it a shot. The duck was sooo flavorful and tender, the skin was roasted to perfection. We got some soup dumplings as well and they were very soupy inside. My kid ordered the spicy noodle soup and he was also hooked. This is definitely one to add to the rotation!

Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. This place was so good. The duck. The combo rice. The best teriyaki chicken I ever had. My sons loved their spicy beef noodle bowls. The brown sugar milk tea was so tasty. The service is a little slow but they are super nice. Clean inside. So good. Will definitely be back.

They serve authentic Chinese cuisine. Had this place bookmarked for the Peking duck. Restaurant was an old Taco Cabana, so it was pretty spacious. Here's what we ordered: Half Peking duck $31.95 (includes hoisin sauce, scallions, cucumbers, and spring pancake). Not sure if I've ever seen it served with sugar & honey mustard before, but that's what they had as well. I didn't try it. The duck skin was crispy and tasty, but my only complaint was that there was not enough duck meat. I joked that we got an anorexic duck. Some places use the remaining meat/bones to do a stir fry, but at Duck & Dumpling they made duck broth soup--which was decent as well. The soup consisted of the remaining bones/meat and cabbage. Braised beef noodle soup. $16.95 Handmade noodles. I loved the pickled greens. They provided plenty of meat, but also lots of fat/tendon. Broth was flavorful. Spicy and Sour Dumplings (pork & scallion) $12.95 - the dumplings were a little "hard" (thicker dumpling wrapper), but the meat was plentiful. Sauteed Bok Choy with Garlic $14.95 - good. Pork Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) $12.95 - comes with 6. Size of the dumplings were big ---and plenty of meat and juice. Probably my fav. dish this time. Overall, service was friendly. Would definitely come back and try other items or just whenever I crave Peking Duck and soup dumplings I know where to go.

Not the best experience at Duck and Dumpling. When you walk in, no one that works there will acknowledge you, so it's confusing to figure out what to do. There's a notebook on the table for check-in, but no sign explaining that, and ordering requires scanning a QR code--again, with no clear instructions. A simple sign explaining the process would go a long way. Service overall was disappointing. The restrooms were also not clean, and the trash can placement inside the stall is awkward--I actually tripped over it when opening the door. The food was okay, maybe order to go.

Duck & Dumpling is one of those places that reminds you why simple well executed food always wins. From the moment we walked in the place was buzzing with energy yet the wait was short and absolutely worth it. The staff was friendly efficient and clearly used to a full house. We started with the cheese puff rangoons which were crisp light and perfectly balanced. Not greasy just satisfying. The steamed bao buns deserve a special mention. They were incredibly fluffy with a soft pillowy texture and the pork filling was outstanding rich savory and comforting in the best way. The spicy chicken combination fried rice was packed with flavor and generous with ingredients. Every bite had texture heat and depth without going overboard. The steamed soup dumplings were a standout with delicate wrappers and a rich flavorful broth. The dumplings themselves were equally solid tender well seasoned and comforting. The green beans were glossy garlicky and addictive in that classic way where you keep reaching for one more. We did not order the duck this time but every table around us seemed to have it and it looked incredible which already sealed our plan to come back and try it next time. Every dish delivered and nothing felt like filler. Duck & Dumpling is doing the basics right and doing them consistently well. This is an easy return spot and one I would happily recommend without hesitation.

My husband and I wanted to find an Asian restaurant to take some friends to and we're lucky that we found Duck and Dumpling. They some fantastic food. The soupy dumplings were fantastic and overfilled. They squirted several feet when I bit into them. The Peking duck was amazing. It was perfectly cooked and the skin was ultra crispy. The Peking duck came with duck broth soup. This dish is often overlooked but it was a great compliment to the duck and should be savored and appreciated on its own. We also tried the pan-fried bun with pork and scallion. This was ultra flavorful and delicious. Duck and Dumpling was an amazing find and we're very happy that we went.

This gem is definitely a new favorite. Friendly staff, clean space, menu meant for sharing, and authentic duck, what more could one want? The fresh spa water featuring lemon in pitchers at your table is a great touch. The FOOD definitely is the star with killer veggies and unique duck presentation with accompaniments. Sharing is highly recommended! You can either order through a QR code at the tables or wait for a guided ordering process from available and knowledgeable staff. Can't wait to return and try other menu items like the crispy chicken.

Stopped in with a friend for lunch as we wanted to try something new and after hearing good things. We beat the lunch crowd as it started to get packed after we sat down. I look over the menu, which has allot of options, and decide to keep it simple and go full dumpling mode. I start off with the red bean sesame balls then order 3 different types of dumplings (curry chicken & potato / beef & onion / pork & scallion) and had one each steamed, grilled, and pan fried respectively. The red bean sesame balls were nice and fresh with a nice flavor profile coming from the red bean paste....very tasty. The dumplings come out next and they all look delish. Each of the different stuffings were well seasoned and savory. I prefer the pan fried style but the steamed and grilled were also nice options. Overall, I really liked my first time here and looking forward to trying the duck next time.

I joined a friend for lunch on a Sunday. It wasn't too busy. You do have to wait to be seated, but they're pretty quick about it. The menu has plenty of options. They have dumplings and potstickers, but for those that want something more traditional, they have chow mein or lo mein. They also have vegan options, which is great for those that want to try their dumplings or pot stickers. I started off with the red bean sesame balls. I love red bean paste. No complaints about these sesame balls. I got the shrimp lo mein. The dish is definitely big enough to share. I shared it with someone else and still took some home for leftovers. I will admit they were a little skimpy with the shrimp. From looking around, I could tell that this is a family style dining restaurant. People had some amazing looking dishes at their tables. I only noted inside seating. Parking is available on site.

Came here the other night with my fiance. I did not have any issues finding parking but the lot was pretty packed. Went inside and attempted to put my name on waitlist through the tablet at the front. The tablet is not very responsive. It ended up not mattering because a server came out soon and brought us to a table. We order the half duck. Some important notes. They do not offer the duck for take out. The menu also says that groups of 3 or less are limited to just ordering the half duck. This did not matter to my fiance and I as the half duck was enough for us. We also ordered some dumplings. The duck came out really quickly. It had a great visual presentation. It came with different sauces and spring pancakes. My best description of spring pancake is that it seemed like a thinner version of a tortilla. It also came with some other sides to add to the duck. Sorry. Not sure what the other sides were. The duck was delicious and the skin was crispy. The different sauces that came with the duck were very tasty. The dumplings came out shortly after we finished the duck and were equally flavorful. The restaurant seemed a little louder than I would have like but is to be expected when you have food so good that your restaurant is packed even on a Thursday night. I recommend this place for great food and great service.

From the walk in to the cash out all was pretty good. Cold ice lemon water on the table was like reading my Mind. The service was great even during a bit of a rush. I had crabmeat Rangoons, spring rolls, chicken fried rice and chicken and corn dumplings. I enjoyed my lunch and will definitely go again.

Food was excellent! We came about 1 week after they had just opened and it was all good food and good vibes all around We ordered: Half Duck Large Duck soup Chicken Dumpling Shrimp and pork dumplings Chicken Fried Rice The duck was...CHEF's kiss so tender inside yet crispy outside. Perfect with the rice paper, chives and hoisin sauce The soup was outta this world scrumptious! It's like a bring me back to life kinda soup! It's hearty, warm and delicious The dumplings were sooooo good! Ask for chili oil because you'll wanna dip them in! The shrimp dumplings each had a huge shrimp rolled inside...like woah Service was great - even though we were still there for the first week opening they had an efficient flow of people and servers. Our server was so funny, cool and full of amazing recommendations. I highly encourage you to try this gem

A few years ago it was Pho. So, I do have a favorite, but I still need to try new places. Well, I am, & this place is pretty phenomenal. The inside is so sweet & simple. You feel real comfortable & peaceful being in there I found them just by driving through the parking lot looking for Holy Pops for a Yelp Elite event. I wanted to try them out, & I'm so happy I did. They exceed my expectations. I walked in & was greeted by one of the waitresses, I let her know it would be a to go order, but I've never been there. She explained how things could be ordered. Steamed vs fried, for example. I regret not snapping photos of the menu, but they have one online. For that matter my food was consumed before a single photo was taken. (That's how you know it's good! At least with me! ) I went with an order of pan fried dumplings, an order of pan fried pork bao, & one order steamed pork bao. Do not be in a rush when you come. Everything is made fresh. You want it to be. Oh my goodness. These bao are amazing. The dough is the perfect thickness, IMO. The meatball inside though mine were a little larger than a golf ball. Juicy, flavorful & couldn't get enough. Made me want a dozen!. Just don't have the stomach to eat that many. Means I'll have to make more trips. The dumplings, pan fried - were so delicious. Again, piping hot! I'd say the little meatball was about half the size of the bao one. I ordered the shrimp, pork & lamb dumplings (I think. ) They had shrimp in them though. And they were amazing Okay, so me saying all my food was piping hot - here's the thing - this place is on Stone Oak, I live in the Brooks City Base area, it was still piping hot when I got home. Y'all know the traffic in this city right now! Don't waste anymore time. Go check them out. Wanna know about the staff? I'll continue! So, my order took about 25 minutes. Okay I ordered a lot, the place was full also, & again everything is made fresh. Oh! Also, you can watch them make it all. The two waitresses & the waiter checked on me often, - (when I came in. I sit in my car most of the time & inform them. Then, I just come sit down.) They apologized & I explained I make this food, I understand & am happy to wait, just means it'll be good. And boy was it!!!!

I ordered the Hakata Ramen and a Dr Pepper (after my friend and I had coffee at Indy next door). The six minute egg is probably my favorite part. No wait, it's the broth. Or is it the noodles? Ugh, it's all great. The egg was delicious. Jammy yolk. The noodles were springy and chewy. The broth was rich and unctuous. The pork was soft and flavorful. We did have to wait a bit for tables to be pushed together and gotten ready for us but it was less than 10 minutes. We were immediately seated after this was done and the vibes immediately gave off, fast but fresh. We all placed our drink orders almost as soon as we were given menus and our drinks were immediately brought to us within 5 minutes (there was a large group of 8 of us). We placed a large sharable order for the entire table along with our main entrees. There is a notation on the menu stipulating the wait time on the dumplings being a minimum of 15 minutes which was perfectly fine with us all seeing as we could clearly see the dumplings being made fresh from the kitchen from where we were seated (the closest table to the kitchen). Our waitress was extremely patient with us, extremely knowledgeable of the entire menu, AND extremely willing to help us when needed. The dumplings, regardless of which you order- in which WAY they're cooked-are absolutely amazing. Flavorful and filled with juice. AND THOSE AREN'T even the soup dumplings! The soup dumplings (we ordered 3 orders during the sit down meal and ordered 2 to go) were positively amazingly flavored. Well balanced in their taste and was such a delight to eat. Our main dishes came shortly after the dumplings arrived. There were 6 adults and 2 children for this meal. We each ordered our own dishes and shared them amongst each other. One of the dishes ordered was pork belly ramen with no cilantro. As soon as it arrived, although to my pallet, it was beautifully balanced and rich in flavor, the adult whom ordered it did not like it and sent it back to the kitchen. The waitress asked why the food was being sent back to which the response was simply just a taste issue. It was replaced with an order of soup dumplings and the cost of the pork belly was removed from the bill (they did not have to do so but it was absolutely amazing that they did do this). Overall, the food, the experience, and the staff were amazing. We did order 5 dishes fresh to go and they did not disappoint. 1000/1000 will be coming back here again.
