Who knew donuts could bring the biggest smiles to a team of folks that needed a morale booster? This morning, I picked up eight dozen beautiful little round pieces of joy for our amazing team. The donuts were warm, packaged and ready to go when I arrived at my appointed time. So, I was able to get to the office early with a sweet surprise in time to beat the run to the cafeteria. The team went on and on about the maple bacon donuts. They were the fan favorite. But, by the end of the morning, just about all of the donuts had disappeared. This is my first experience with Duck Donuts. But, it will not be my last. I will have to bless our team again and grab some for the family. Outside of Just Fine donuts in Alexandria, Duck Donuts is the cat's meow! Happy eating!

We were picking this up for a clinic that had helped my mother recently and said they love this spot. We'd never been since they don't have gluten free options but we're so impressed. It's super clean inside and the woman making the doughnuts was a GEM!! She explained how they're made fresh to order and that hot and fresh delivery has made them super popular. They're a wonderful hostess gift and worth checking out !!

Sooo phenomenal. I love their cake donuts with such awesome topping options too. This location has a giant iPad screen you can use for ordering which is pretty handy to use. They make the orders pretty fast. Restaurant is small but clean

Very cool and unique concept of creating your own donut to order. They're not gourmet, but definitely hit that sweet tooth craving just right. Additionally, they're served warm and gooey. Not a place that you'd dine in/hang out, but it's in a plaza with plenty of public seating to do just that. I'll come back once in a blue moon.

Passed by here on a whim and decided to try. Inside is inviting and the staff was attentive and nice. There was no line or wait on a Saturday so I was helped rather quickly. I opted for the blueberry lemonade and cinnamon sugar donut. The blueberry lemonade wasn't very good, I wouldn't recommend. Tasted like a plain donut with a bunch of frosting on it. The cinnamon sugar was better, but again nothing special.

It's kind of neat that they make the hot donut right in front of you. The hot donut with chocolate icing though was just okay. I wouldn't try another chocolate donut, but maybe would try another. The donut was very fluffy. Not the cheapest for a single donut either. There's some outside seating but not much room inside.

    Delicious 6-pack.

Duck donuts are fantastic and easy to bring into your life. You can order through Yelp and have delightful donuts of your choice delivered to your house via GrubHub. Ordering was easy. The donuts arrived as expected about 35 minutes later and wow, were they good. I ordered a customized half dozen of my Fall favorites and they were well worth the time and money. I can't even pick a favorite, they were all so delicious. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thanks!

I call BS. Paid an extra $1 for the "premium" sprinkle. 1 gummy worm.

I've had duck donuts before down south. It's very excited to try this out here. I have my nephews with me and I always think it's fun that they can create their own doughnut. The warm cake like donut with custom yummy toppings. It's a go too place. HOWEVER, I am super peeved that I got charged one whole dollar for one gummy worm. It's a good product.

The one downside is that they close at 7pm -- more than once I've tried to open their locked front door, when I look at my clock and see it's 7:01! Such a bummer. Their donuts are delicious though, and made fresh when you order. We love it here, it's such a special treat. I usually order the coconut donut or a maple donut. Their French toast donut is great too. This location is fun because there's a bunch of other fun restaurants nearby, so you could start with sushi or pizza and end with donuts. The perfect time! (As long as you're there before 7pm...)

Oily doughnut + sickly sweet toping = gross. I only made it this far before tossing the rest into the trash.
    Bob T.

Never in my long life have I ever left a doughnut to go uneaten... until today. I stopped here on a whim, ordered a Midnight Madness, took two bites, and tossed the rest in the trash. The doughnut was oily. The topping tasted like it contained massive amounts of artificial sweetener. All-in-all, not what I was expecting.

I first tried Duck Donuts several years ago, but I wasn't too impressed. Could've been because I had gotten one with custom toppings and I prefer plain. When National Donut Day came up I gave them another try. This time, I ordered a plain cake donut. I loved it! This is a small location, but they make all the donuts fresh in the shop! You can see them being made, then onto the toppings bar. The staff were helpful and the store was clean. What I liked is that you could get hot, fresh donuts minutes after ordering. They tasted like a good pancake, but slightly heavier. Donuts are a little pricey. A little more than $2, but if once in awhile, it's worth it for a good, hot donut.

    Sarah C.

I heard so much about duck donuts I was very excited to try it. Donuts are made fresh to order which is a rarity these days I feel. Although I was not overly impressed but it also not disappointed. The flavors were not as powerful as I expected them to be but the texture was great with the slight crunch on the outside and a steamy buttery soft inside.

    Caleb J.

Don't tell me about Krispy Kreme's trash donuts - they are depressing. Duck Donuts are *the* best donuts from a brick and mortar store in the DMV area. Truly outstanding. They come right off the conveyor belt so they're warm (or even hot, depending), and the batter makes for a slightly chewier donut. Very good.

I got the savory pie that was stuffed with an unctuous gumbo filling made with creole spices, the holy trinity (onions, peppers, and celery), and a generous portion of chicken. The pie pastry had a perfect flaky crumb that held the filling together. A friend had their breakfast sandwich, which had a rustic and delightful tang from the inclusion of sourdough in the biscuit batter that paired well with the thick slab of egg and crispy bacon. Incredibly savory items. I'm always gravitated towards how well a cafe can do a savory menu and this exceed my expectations. Friends I came in with who got their coffee said that it was very delicious, and the baristas can make a beautiful frothy and rich matcha latte. Its both parts technical skills to pull coffee or whisk matcha and sourcing of high-quality ingredients. While a scramble sounds simple on paper, it is easy to overcook the vegetables. This one was executed perfectly, with every vegetable done just right. The thin-sliced potatoes were highly seasoned and stood out, moving away from the standard, heavy breakfast spuds you get at most places. The presentation across the board was excellent. The latte arrived with a nice touch--a small side cookie and a club soda to cleanse the palate, which shows a level of intentionality you don't always find. The staff members were incredibly friendly and gracious from start to finish. With fast Wi-Fi and a comfortable environment, it is an ideal spot to get some quality laptop time. We were told we could sit at the bar or outside, but when we asked for one of the open tables, we were denied because they were "reserved for parties of three." That just doesn't make sense. We're still paying customers, ready to order food and drinks. Denying service like that--especially with empty tables in plain sight--feels unnecessary and rigid. I even asked twice, hoping for a little flexibility, but the answer didn't change. I work in the service industry, and this is exactly the kind of situation where you make an exception or use some common sense. Instead, it felt like policy over hospitality. Really disappointing experience for a place I was excited to try.

We visited around the same time as the Westover Farmers Market, so the inside was a bit packed. At one point, we noticed the line going nearly outside the door--although it is a small location, so at least it moved relatively quickly. My order came fairly quick for the amount of people. However, my friend's order had a longer wait time despite being the same drink with only the milk substituted. We eventually asked the staff if the order was still coming through--they were very sweet, apologized for the wait, and quickly prepared the order. Unsure if maybe the order got lost in the shuffle, or perhaps someone else accidentally grabbed it, but it was nice that they quickly resolved the issue once it became known to them. The drink was okay, which I was fine with because the main appeal was supposed to be the Halloween-themed design. I realized too late that my drink didn't come with the chocolate syrup drizzled on top that others' did, which was unfortunate. The cafe was beautifully decorated, and it's clear that there was a lot of thought and heart put into the design. The shop was also nice to check out, with a great collection of items with a nice mission and message behind each product. However, it is a bit tight to go through the aisles when it is busy. I hope to visit again during a less crowded time to check out other seasonal treats they may have in the future!

My go-to is a standard drip or an Americano with exactly one pump of vanilla. If you are looking for a meal, the avocado toast and poached egg sandwiches are objectively excellent. However, if you want the best thing on the menu, order the cheddar chive scone and ask them to heat it in the oven. It is a game-changer. The Vibe It has a genuine neighborhood feel. You'll see a broad spectrum of people--from tech folks on laptops to workout groups and families. It even transitions into a great bar scene in the evenings. It's consistent, high-quality, and remains my top recommendation in Falls Church.

We would have loved one of the delicious looking pastries but we have many meals in front of us today. The staff was beyond helpful and accommodating. Roggenart is tucked back in a tree-lined courtyard with a great patio that faces a large fountain. We enjoyed the shaded seating and the peaceful setting while we drank our coffee.

I fell in love with them while visiting BMore's Cafe Dear Leon and wanted to find a local place offering them...and Yelp led me to Roggenart Bakery. In addition to ordering a Crookie, I ordered a small beet salad, cheese Danish and a ham and cheese breakfast sandwich. I am completely hooked. Everything was so fresh and tasty and I now have a new "go to" spot for my breakfast fix. I have raved so much about Roggenart that my friends and colleagues are now ordering. The customer service is excellent. Even though I have used UE for most of my orders, my packaging is always done well. Nothing is squished or dripping. Can you imagine having beet juice everywhere?!? Also, my co-worker has visited to pick up our order and she said it's very clean and smells amazing. Don't hesitate to order. You won't regret it. Happy eating!!!!

Nice boutique cafe with a galore of croissants, donuts, cookies with some seasonal/weekly specials…read more I've made my rounds through the menu and ate more pastries than I can count! The seasonal Donuts and the Croissant Tarts keep me coming back! Best Donuts - Pumpkin Pie Donut, Tiramisu Donut, Key Lime Pie, Boston Cream, and Hot Cocoa Nutella donut. The Strawberry and Raspberry have a Jelly/Jam filling. I wasn't a big fan of the Cookie Butter Donut, Cannoli donut, or the Dot Cake Donut, or S'mores donut. The Cookie Butter donut tasted like creamy peanut butter while the Cannoli donut that didn't have the sweet creamy filling that I was hoping for and the Funfetti frosting was a bit off on the Dot Cake Donut (super fun to see all the dot sprinkles on top!). I wish there was more marshmallow filling in the S'mores onut. Croissant Tarts - Both the sweet and savory tarts deliver! The Raspberry Cream Cheese Tart, Red Pepper Feta Tart, Apple Tart, and Everything Tart are all delicious! The classic Garlic Spinach Tart and Shroom Tart are fine. Best Croissants - Christmas Tree Raspberry Croissant, Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse Croissant, Apple Butter Crumble Croissant, Almond Croissant, and Matcha Croissant. The Berry Brioche Tart was fun to try, but not my favorite. The cookies are pretty light and fluffy, the Lemon Cheesecake Cookie tasted like a lemon sugar cookie with no filling. The Kitchen Sink cookie was an interesting blend of salty flavors (chips, pretzels, toffee). For Valentine's Day, the Linzer sugar cookie filled with raspberry jam was delicious! So glad I grabbed the last one by 11am on Saturday! For Mother's Day, there were colorful macaroons. All of the fillings with the donuts and croissants are whipped and pretty light. There's a parking garage next door and you can get parking validated for 1 hour. While there's plenty of seating inside, it can get packed over the weekends. There's no outdoor seating (there's some makeshift seating around the high-rise building). Great local bakery with a lot of baked goodies to choose from!

I ordered pick online and the drinks were ready when I arrived. I tried their Maple + Sea Salt Matcha w/ Jasmine Tea Jelly and their Strawberry Matcha were both excellent. The only downside was that the jasmine tea jelly had no flavoring. Cute matcha shop, delicious drinks + friendly service. Hope to come back and visit soon.

I would definitely visit again as during my visit, a group of loud and obnoxious teens destroyed the ambiance. Rithy was very patient and friendly. He took the time to guide us through their menu and make his recommendations. This place is perfect for any matcha lover you know of. The iced Maple and sea salt matcha was delicious as well as the iced mango matcha. As they use ceremonial matcha, it is not pre-sweetened so if you love matcha without sugar, you can get it here. Although I took the order to go, if you choose to eat in, your drink is prepared in a ceramic mug. They have so many unique cheesecake flavors and the place I have seen that you can get basque cheesecake anytime of the year. The bathroom is a bit hard to find and locate. Additionally, it is a bit far from the location.
