Bought a caramel macchiato and a bacon in the sun donut. The coffee was terrible, it didn't have any flavor to it, couldn't taste any caramel. It was like I just drank coffee with milk only. The donut was placed on mobile order & I showed up 7 minutes after ordering but wasn't hot and fresh & the bacon bits were mostly fat pieces and wasn't nearly enough bacon on it. I'm kind of upset because I usually go to the one in Clark & never had any issues with the coffee or donuts. Won't be coming back here again, I'll just wait until I can go to Clark if I want Duck donuts. read more

I appreciated that the order receipt included not only the name of each donut but also a description of each flavor. The recipient enjoyed most of the donuts, though she found the blueberry frosting on the blueberry pancake donut too sweet and wasn't a fan of the thin mints flavor. She really liked the French toast, coffee cake, and cinnamon bun options. I wish there was a Duck Donuts nearby so I could try them myself. I picked up a dozen donuts to bring to my office and they were a huge hit! The donuts are warm and made fresh right in front of you. They're all a vanilla cake type donut and the staff tops them with any variety of flavored glazes that you ask for. You can create your own combination or choose from a menu selection. The flavors are out of this world! I got the Breakfast Box which consists of one each of these creative flavors: Cinnamon Sugar, Coffee Cake, Chocolate Covered Strawberry, Blueberry Streusel, French Toast, Bacon in the Sun, Cinnamon Bun, Cookies and Cream, Maple Bacon, Peanut Butter Fluff, Glazed, and Blueberry Pancake. Duck Donuts does not offer filled donuts such as Boston Creme or a Jelly Donut. This store is at the Midstate Mall on Route 18. It's in the corner all the way at the back, next to the Amsterdam Smoke Shop and close to Rai Rai Ramen. There's lots of free parking. Staff was friendly and helpful. The space has been newly renovated and is clean with big windows. I went on a sunny afternoon and it was very bright inside. I highly recommend you come here if you like donuts! read more

This donut shop had been on my radar for a while now and I'm glad I finally got to try it out. They have so many options to choose from along with seasonal options but I opted to create my own. I went with a s'mores vibe but with the added chocolate sprinkles. When I ate my donut it was nice and warm and I couldn't put it down. I'm a doughnut girl through and through. At Parents weekend at SBU they had a Duck Donuts Stand. So we got three different kinds to try. The strawberry sprinkles, the Oreo and the maple bacon. The maple bacon was the best! Sweet and salty. The Oreo came in second. The doughnuts are soft and chewy and alittle sweet with the frosting. First things first, this place smells heavenly ! With that said, STAY FOCUSED once you see all the available options. You can either use the kiosk to place your order or for those who prefer a personal interaction there's a person at the register. It's definitely an experience as they make the donuts in front of you. They are fresh, warm, and definitely some of the best donuts I ever had! On this order, we ordered a 1/2 dozen donuts (glazed, midnight madness and sunrise, to name a few) and a birthday cake milkshake. The milkshake was so YUMMY. I welcome a delicious sweet baked good as happily as the next person, but $15.00 for 6 cake donuts is not just a little much, it isn't going to happen again. My selections were tasty as expected, but nothing extraordinary. There is no other flavor of cake donut than vanilla and although the toppings are pretty, executed well by staff and appealing to look at I feel I am immune to this sort of hyper-focused, trendy, target marketing. It is well-lit in a utilitarian modern atmosphere. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I guess this sort of linear approach just isn't for me. I thought it was a Gourmet on premise Donut Bakery with an array of truly interesting actual donuts, (like Dunkin' Donuts USED to BE!) but it isn't. I went in after a terrible experience at Dunkin further down route 18 and boy was I glad! Everyone was so nice when we went in and the donuts smelled and looked great! The whole point of my ordering online was to avoid the long wait inside the store in the first place. Another time, I walked in and waited 20 minutes for four donuts; ordering online before I got there would have helped. I was wrong. Please don't make my mistake. This place was such a miss! The ambiance is so misaligned with the branding. I expected to walk into a fun, light, atmosphere with delicious smells and uplifting sounds. The mascot is a duck wearing a visor and tank top! That screams fun. But this place was the complete opposite. It was very hot with uncomfortable seating that faces outside. watching them make the donuts is supposed to be part of the experience but not here. There's no music and the person working didn't even greet us when we entered. I placed my order at a computer and the worker didn't interact with us at all. I still left a tip when I placed my order. I got a drink that had no flavor and a donut that was supposed to be French toast flavored but was just a barrage of sugar. I will say the donut itself was fantastic but the topping ruined it. The worker told me that I should tip in cash next time because they don't get the tips from the machine! I told him that if he wanted me to tip him in cash, he should have provided some level of customer service to help ensure I had a good experience. But what's the deal with the managers and owners of this place? Why aren't you giving the workers the tips? I told him I won't be coming back. Let me start by saying that if I'm traveling and I see a Duck Donut; I'm stopping. Didn't know this particular store was open and was very happy I had to go to the store next door. The menu has grown quite a bit and now has a breakfast doughnut (wish I hadn't had breakfast earlier or it would have been my choice). Got the "Bacon In The Sun" and it was delicious. Hot, tasty and the toppings were plentiful and fresh. This is where the 4 star rating comes into play. It was the ambiance of the store which detracted from the deliciousness. It was plain and barren. Plenty of room for cafe table and chairs but just a few chairs and a ledge. Wasn't buying a 1/2 dozen or dozen to go, was buying 3, one for my wife, son and myself. Would have enjoyed sitting and enjoying the donut there. Possibly buying another because it was so good. As I started this review I said I stop at any Duck Donut. I have only had bad donuts from one location; ironically it was at the original store in Duck, NC. Make the store more inviting to visit and stay to increase profits. Very disappointed when I went there a few months ago because duck donuts policy is that they are to make the donuts fresh hot to order and they didn't do that. They used already made one that were laying around and that's not what duck donuts stands for. They are not following the franchise system like they need to! Donuts taste great and staff is always very polite. Major complaint is that the donuts are TINY! Compared to other locations these are very small . I've had them in Virginia and in NJ at the Middletown and Clark stores, I don't know why this location makes them super small . read more

I had hot coffee today and it was cold. I asked and said that because we added milk, therefore it became cold. It seems like the coffee was prepared in the morning and served in the afternoon. Very disappointed but donut was very good. read more
