This is where you thank me for not being so selfish! I'm sharing this review because duck donuts deserves it! Hence I'm not being selfish because the next time I come in I know I'll have to wait on a line with what I'm about to say! These donuts are ahhhhmayyyyyzzzzzing and so worth the buck .35! Hot soft sugary incredible. These donuts put all other donuts to shame! They have such a great variety I think my favorite if I had to have one was the cinnamon sugar with raspberry drizzle. Didn't live up to the hype or I just don't get what others are excited about. The lines are impressive, the choices are many and the service is very good. The donuts are on the small side, texture seems like they use pancake batter or they're possibly a little undercooked. The toppings were good but, added to the overall mushiness. Caveat: My two uncles ran a bakery where I worked summers growing up. And my grandma's homemade were spectacular. Perhaps they set the bar too high for me to fully appreciate Duck Donuts product. read more

This place gets two thumbs up. First of all the coffee is great. Shout out and thumbs up to the nice lady I have seen each of my five visits who has decaf brewed and brewed a fresh pot for me this past Sunday. Another point for skim milk! I pick up donuts for my family here and they love them and I love the decaf coffee and friendly staff. I grew up when Dunkin Donuts were made fresh -- but these top those by miles. I'm not a huge donut fan and this place has won me over. First off, on a rainy Sunday morning, it was packed. So I had high expectations. You choose your glaze and toppings by checking boxes on an order form, then you get to watch your donuts get made. They come out hot and smelling delicious, and you want to eat it right then. Note: there's no seating space, at least on the weekend! They were still warm when we got home though, and tasted even better than the tantalizing smell on the car ride home. If you like donuts and sweet stuff this is definitely the place for you. We visited this location in the afternoon and found no line but were told the line is often out the door in the morning. The had samples of one type of doughnut sitting on the counter for customers to try which helped me in my selection of the cinnamon sugar doughnut. The staff was friendly and even though they messed up my original order then made a new one and let me keep the mistake batch too! I would definitely come back and try to be more adventurous in my selections next time. read more

I usually come here to get donuts on the go for people I work with. This particular time, I so happen to order online and around 7:05. After completing my order, the automatic system said it would be ready by 7:35. No big deal, I show up 5 minutes later and proceed to wait by the pick up area. The guy(Asian) at the counter asks me if I needed help, I proceeded to tell him that I was waiting for an online order. He asked my name, I told him. He proceeds to go over to the ticket and brings it to me and says it says 7:35. I tell him, I understand and I can't control that. He then tells me again it says 7:35, know that we need time to make it. I say, I know, I understand. At this point, he seemed to be fishing for an argument, in which, I was not going to participate in. Dropped by for the first time after hearing that this place was coming in. I am always on the hunt for a go-to donut shop. Fractured Prune was always one of my favorites but they have closed shop in this area. I was anticipating that these would be comparable to Fractured Prune since they use the same made-to-order concept. My hopes came true! These were just as good if not better. We love this place! The donuts are fresh and crispy. Best donuts ever and dare I say it... better than Krispy kreme. They move super fast despite crowds in there. And the possibilities of flavors are endless you just have to be creative. omg this place is AMAZING! Puts Krispy Kreme six feet under in my opinion because they've set the bar a bit higher as far as donuts are concerned. Donuts come out fresh from the fryer and are custom made the way you like them. Similar to what Cold Stone is like with IC, but you do it for a donut. It's like a cake, a little beautiful donut cake. These are pretty good donuts, and it's truly hard to find good doughnuts these days. Maple bacon is a personal favorite. I would recommend asking them to not overloading the toppings--to me a good donut has to balance the flavor of the cake with toppings, something that tips slightly in the wrong direction here at times. If you are a frequent doughnut eater, you probably don't want to eat them all the time. Duck Donuts are the most sumptuous, rich, indulgent, decadent things you could ever imagine. They are the doughnut equivalent of pornography. They are an absolute orgy for the senses. You must try them, at least once. By the way, don't get freaked out by the bacon. It works! A great combination is the maple glaze with the bacon. Another is the vanilla glaze, bacon, and the salted caramel drizzle. Oh, yeah...the most frightening thing about these things is that they are CHEAP. I think they are like $1.25 each and that is a flat rate, regardless of the toppings. Worth every nickel...and more.
