Out of all the restaurants we dined at during our 5-day visit to Maui, we unanimously agreed our #1 favorite was Duckine! Here's what we liked about it: 1. The ahi poke was very fresh and flavorful. The cuts were nice and they weren't chewy like some of the other restaurants. The flavoring was spot on, without being overwhelming in seasoning or bland in taste. We had ahi for just about every meal, so we had a lot to compare and voted Duckine's poke as the best in flavor, freshness, and cut. It's a good thing we ordered 2 bowls, otherwise we would've fought over it! 2. The drinks were just as good as they were pretty to look at. We ordered the Lilikoi Honey Mint Soda, Virgin Ube Colada, Coconut Pandan Lemonade, and Cucumber Yuzu Basil Refresher. Mine was the Lilikoi (Passionfruit) Honey Mint Soda and I loved it! It was very refreshing and had just the perfect amount of sweetness and tartness. We were all very pleased with our drinks and agreed these were our favorites compared to all the drinks we ordered at other restaurants. They were collectively the prettiest too! 3. The food. Maybe after eating Hawaiian food for so many of our meals we were craving something Asian? We really loved the creative twist to the traditional Asian dishes. Most Asian Fusion restaurants try too hard and fail at balancing the tastes among different cuisines, but Owner and Executive Chef Alvin Savella has a natural talent. He brings a playful and unique approach to Chinese-Hawaiian flavors that work! Here's what we ordered and loved: - Pressed Duck Baos: Who would have thought to press duck into a patty, lightly bread it, and then fry it? We were expecting a dried piece of duck breast in a bun, but what we got was a moist, juicy, and flavorful patty inside a soft steamed bun. The buns were soft and fluffy, an indication that they are fresh. I would prefer a little less sauce on top, but that's just me. The duck pattie was already very flavorful and didn't need the excess sauce. - Crispy Octopus Baos: What a unique idea! The octopus were thinly sliced (not too thin) and then lightly battered and fried. They had a nice crisp on the outside and were tender on the inside. - Garlic Noodles: Loved the flavor of these noodles. It's the traditional Chinese garlic noodles, but with a hint of the Hawaiian sweetness to elevate the flavor. - Fried Rice with BBQ Char Siu Pork: OK, I'm not usually a fan of rice of any kind, but boy were these good! It's the Hawaiian sweetness that gave the rice a nice boost in flavor. The char siu pork were very tender and flavorful. We ordered a lot of food and somehow managed to finish it all. The service was quick and our dishes came out a good pace. Our waitress was pretty impressed at how much we could eat, but not as impressed as we were with the food, drinks, service, and ambiance! There was also free parking on their private lot, which was a bonus. There's a duck theme. It's in the name, the decor, and dominated the menu. Five solid stars and I highly recommend this restaurant!

Came here last night for dinner with the family. We had Robert as our helper through our dinning experience. I love it when people don't b.s. and tell me straight up what's amazing. Robert gave awesome suggestions and we ate like there was no tomorrow. The inside does NOT match the outside. It's very nice inside. A contemporary vibe. Very clean and well thought out space. The bathroom was also very clean which I appreciate. I can't even list all the food we had so I will hit the high lights. The bao and the dumplings wow..... knock you out good. The personal favorites for the bao was the burger bao, the crispy octopus and the crispy duck. The dumplings were amazing and if allowed (the wife stopped me) I would have ordered a dozen of these little lumps of joy. Absolutely will come back in our next visit.

Ambiance: this Asian fusion restaurant is located across the beach, and valet parking only, where you can still find street parking nearby, the establishment has indoor dining, bar and lounge area, and outdoor patio surrounded the place Service: the waiter served the table was friendly though forgetful and lack of knowledge about their food, also made billing mistake Food: fusion choices for food, not authentic, and very disappointing quality Puffed Shrimp - *** pog ginger, overly cooked shrimp, old texture, and the cabbage on the bottom wasn't fresh Fried Rice - *** garlic, ginger shoyu vinegar, 63 degree egg, scallions, duck fat, the fried rice was too wet though the egg was good Char siu pork - ** too dry and rubbery texture Ube Noodz - **** bok choy, shrooms, scallions, 63 degree egg, red miso coconut, ginger broth, very unique combination of flavors, chewy and sweet purple noodles, recommend Duck leg - *** crispy outside but dry meat texture Price: moderate portions and overpriced for its quality, expect $40 per person

Duckine was one of the best meals we've had in Maui! The have their own valet lot, and I highly recommend: -dan dan noodles -duck bao buns -kids broth and rice (my kids LOVED this) -ube noodles -crispy duck noodles -scallion pancakes Price: $$ Ambiance: cute and clean with a view of the ocean

Came here for a celebratory dinner and tried some different things on the menu. Buddha Bowl- refreshing salad with spicy dressing Roast Duck- Great flavor with crispy skin, signature dish KAFC- crispy chicken wings with fried chicken skin. The sauce is amazing! Garlic chow mein with chicken Fried rice with char siu- this was one of everyone's favorite. Awesome service, but I wish they would get air conditioning!

My family loves duck, so this restaurant completely spoke to us... and I found it by chance all thanks to Google Maps! We arrived during happy hour which runs throughout the restaurant from 2:00P-5:00P. During this time, they offer 30% off small plates and $5 bao sliders. The host kindly greeted us and we requested a table near the bar area for the open-air seating which he graciously accommodated. They also have several tables out on the patio. Our waitress handed us the lunch menu* (this detail is important later) and also advised us of the HH specials. Everything looked so good with duck offered in many different forms. While my eye went straight to their "Duckine Plates", my family went for their baos and small plates. + CRISPY DUCK LEG ($18 + $2 garlic fried rice upgrade): This meal was delicious and well-balanced. The duck leg was lightly fried, leaving the skin super crisp like a chip! The meat fell right off the bone. A vegetable medley of broccolini, carrots, cabbage and mushrooms were tenderly cooked and had great flavor (maybe cooked in duck fat?). The fried rice was pretty oily, but nice and garlicky! I couldn't stop eating it. Pickled cucumbers on the plate helped cut the grease. * The lunch menu states this plate comes with a cup of egg drop soup, which I remembered as I was finishing up my meal. When I asked about this, the waitress said they stop serving it after the lunch hour which ends at 3:00. I didn't want to argue, but that is just strange. We ordered before the lunch hour ended, but they can't provide the soup because we started eating after 3:00? + PUFFED SHRIMP: These were similar to tempura shrimp except with a puffier crust. For dipping, a POG ginger sauce came on the side which was fairly sweet, but more gingery in flavor. I enjoyed this appetizer! My family members each ordered the DUCK WONTON SOUP which included several wontons in a ginger broth with scallions and chili oil. I tried one which was soft and nicely seasoned, but I couldn't pinpoint the taste of duck. They also had the PRESSED DUCK and WAGYU BURGER BAOS which they enjoyed. The wagyu burger was impeccable and had that delicious charred off-the-grill taste. The staff was kind, checked on us multiple times and also kept our waters full. I had never been to a duck-centric restaurant before and really admired the concept, making this one of the more memorable meals we had in Maui!

Reservation for 9 please! The birthday celebration kicks off in Maui!! I gave them 3 stars due to service and some of the food I wasn't fond of, but when you have 8 besties it makes it special. I'd like to add our server treated us differently from the table behind us. Which did not sit right with us. However dishes that I didn't care for was the birdsnest noodles-lacked flavor and the Char siu was hard.

Whenever my boyfriend asks if I'm hungry & I answer yes. I already know there's going to be a follow up question, where do you want to go? Which is never that easy for me to narrow down. The questions then running through my head include what is it that I'm craving this very moment? Or how far do we want to drive? Should we dine in or take out? Is the restaurant open? How busy are they? It's seriously crazy the amount of consideration that goes into play every time I'm asked to plan a food date. However, I'm thankful my parents helped save me on this one. They recently dined at this restaurant called Duckine. Not only did they say the food was good, but we'd need to go check them out for ourselves one of these days too. Which Saturday just happened to be our perfect day to go. Since we already planned on doing some shopping at the outlets. Being close enough to go eat at Duckine first, then go shopping. Not to mention I'd also get to check off trying a new restaurant off my to-do list as well. So a win-win in my book. By the time we arrived it was 3pm. We were also excited to find easy parking in their mini parking lot. Although if you haven't seen their logo yet, it's hella cute. I felt like a tourist taking pictures of everything. Every time I spotted one it was like my restaurant version of find Waldo. The first half of the restaurant was empty. So there wasn't a wait for a walk-in. It also happened to be their transition from lunch to dinner. So we made it just in time for their happy hour menu too. After sitting down, the waters & menus hit the table moments after sitting. As for our drink orders George ordered a coke, I ordered a lemon for my water, the Jah Mule & the Ube Lavender Lemonade. The lemon for my water never made it to the table. However the garnishes & flavor of my other drinks were so good I didn't care. I ordered 3 of the $5 Lil Bao Wows, the Wagyu Burger for George, the Crispy Octopus & Puffed Shrimp for me. Although after trying all three my absolute favorite was the Puffed Shrimp. That sauce was so good, my mouth is watering just thinking about it & don't get me started on those Bao buns. Seriously though so light & fluffy such a fun texture to eat. Everyone we encountered on this visit were very nice. It made our dining experience here very enjoyable & we look forward to our next. Restaurant recommendation: Leave an extra napkin on the table for wiping the table. Either for parents dealing with messy kids. Stopped here for dinner on a whim and while the ambiance and views were lovely, the food was a bit lackluster and underwhelming for the price... We did not have reservations and were able to walk in with no wait on a weekday evening. They seated us outdoors on the patio overlooking the water which was stunning. We started with the pressed duck baos which were pretty good and probably my favorite part of the whole meal. For entrees, we shared the fried rice with char siu pork (recommended by our waiter) and the ube noodz. The char siu pork that came on top of the fried rice was okay in terms of flavor but the meat itself was super tough... Then, the ube noodz is an interesting concept but it just wasn't our cup of tea (though I generally love ube) -- the flavors didn't mesh super well together but maybe this is more of an acquired taste.

IMHO We came to enjoy Happy Hour and arrived a little earlier than our reservation. No problem! They had lots of tables available! In addition to two yummy cocktails, we ordered the Kurabota Pork Dumplings, (HH $8.40, normally $12), Garlic Chow Mein, $14, two HH Pressed Duck Bao, $5 each, and 1 HH Crispy Octopus Bao, $5. We really liked the garlic chow mein and the baos, but we were very disappointed in the pork dumplings. They had a weird soft consistency that was off-putting. They also lacked flavor even when dipped in the accompanying sauce. No, we would not order them again. Will we return? Sure.

Would not recommend this restaurant if you're trying to go somewhere for the food. Service was good and the restaurant itself felt pretty nice, so one star for that. Started with the: - duck bao - probably one of the better items I had here, but I'm a carb fiend so opinion may be biased. - kurobuta pork dumplings - dumpling was so big compared to normal dim sum dumplings. The skin and filling broke apart once I tried to pick up a piece. Taste was okay but texture was not good. Then had: - duck soup - lightly battered five spiced duck leg in a ginger broth with duck wontons. The ginger broth tasted like sesame oil and the water used to boil the bok choy. I would recommend adding some chicken bouillon or chicken broth to the soup. Had to immediately take out the duck leg so it doesn't get soggy. Duck leg was not bad. The duck wontons were not memorable at all. - garlic noodles - didn't realize you can mess up on garlic noodles. I would recommend more garlic and add a little bit of oyster sauce. - char siu pork - felt like a dry tasteless pork chop with red food coloring on the outer layer of the meat. Bok choy was flavored with sesame oil. Would recommend using some more garlic in the veggies and to add char siu flavor or any flavor for the pork chop. - roast duck - would assume this is their signature dish, but this was sub par. Only thing saving this dish is the big side of sauce it comes with. Sauce tasted like a traditional plum sauce that goes with Chinese roast duck, however, menu said it's a lilikoi hoisin sauce. Duck was dry and meat was lacking flavor. Theme of this meal: overpriced and flavorless and poorly executed food at a trendy restaurant. Would recommend skipping, but if you must, would probably recommend just to try the duck bao and a drink for the vibes.

The Dim Summah Night's Dream experience on June 1, 2023, exceeded expectations. I am so glad we went. The menu was creative and unlike any other dim sum. Alvin, the Executive Chef introduced himself and BJ, the mastermind behind the menu. This was a seven course experience. My favorites were the Fresh Catch(hamachi), Xia Zao (crispy shrimp ball), Lo Bak Go (chinese sausage). I liked that the meal started with fresh fish. The shrimp ball was crispy and larger than any other shrimp ball I've had. The chinese sausage course was flavorful and tender. We sat family style and we were served green beans and noodles. I had to stop myself from eating both of the side dishes to be sure I could get through the seven courses. I would definitely order the green beans and noodles on our next visit. There were 30 people there for the dining experience and the dining room was open for the regular menu. For the most part, food came out without too much of a wait. The servers were attentive in refilling drinks and clearing plates. The server came around to each party to square up the bill. Gratuity was included.

Tried a variety of foods here and everything was pretty good! The duck bao are clearly a favorite and you will see everyone next to you ordering them. We ordered the pork dumplings too which were fine, but kind of not super refined. A big lump of meat in a noodle, the great sauce is what saves it. Excellent service here and really nice staff

Come during Happy Hour in the afternoon. No wait and lots of discounted small plates and cocktails. The shared teapots of cocktails are quite yummy. We ordered all the small happy hour plates and it was enough for 4 people for a meal, if you are cool with sharing. The poke with caviar was the best and the savory egg custard the worst (skip that one). The others ranged from tasty to ok. Nice place. Good service. read more

Fabulous night at Duckine. Unbelievably tasty food, great service in a terrific ambiance. Couldn't recommend this new restaurant more highly (only opened in October 2022). It'll be giving some of the nearby neighbouring restaurants a run for their money. Really enjoyed the experience. We'll be back again. read more

Cool new spot across from the ocean! Service was super! Nice vibe and they really paid attention to detail - napkin rings! Haven't seen those since I don't know when. Great new restaurant on west maui! We came for my birthday celebration and was so happy we did. The ambiance and esthetics were on point here. Cocktails were creative and tasty. Food was to die for! I would describe the food as elevated Chinese with lots of flavor. We got the steamed egg with caviar and could've done without it. The duck bao buns are an absolute MUST. You'd be a fool not to get those. Duck fried rice was also very good! Can't skip the dessert, this was a big winner for us! Server and busser was very attentive and extremely friendly. There was also someone who seemed to be a manager that was dropping the entrees off. He described the dishes well and was very kind. Been in Maui for the past 5 days for our honeymoon and seriously the best food and service we've had the entire time. We ordered the escape and so long oolong cocktails to start, they were amazing. And the main course was absolutely delicious. We ordered the crispy egg noodles with chicken and Szechuan peppercorn ribeye, literally a must have. Omg how can I forget the dessert, kaya toast..... also a huge shout out to the phenomenal chef Alvin Savella and our one of a kind server Lexi. Lexi was very familiar with the menu and was able to answer all of questions. She made us feel like we were part of the Duckine family! Without any doubt, 5 out of 5 stars. We would rate it higher if possible! Unfortunately we just got the dessert and cocktail pictures since we were too busy chowing down. You won't regret it, give this place a try! read more

We branched out here, not our normal cuisine but we wanted to get a full experience while vacationing in Maui & so glad we did! It definitely tested our taste buds but we enjoyed everything we got! I reallllyy wanted to try the kaya toast but as the saying goes, I would have had to rub it on me because I was so stuffed from our meals! The u-bebe drink is a must if you love a fruity girly cocktail we also got the duck bao buns but so many pics of those already on their yelp so didn't post one! Loved read more

Got a date night with the wife while vacationing in Maui. Thanks to the in-laws for watching our gremlins and letting us sneak out! Duckine came by recommendation. Easy to find on Front Street. Cool little dining room with a modern feel. Definitely something Lahaina needed. I could live off the pressed duck bao and the kurabota pork dumplings! Also tried the puff shrimp (pog dipping sauce was fun!), the curry endive salad, and the scallion pancakes. Everything was a great, chef inspired twist to a classic dish. I enjoyed every bite. The service stood out! The staff seemed to really enjoy working here. There was a great vibe, they all stopped by at some point to check on us, and our server was super knowledgeable about the menu. She guided us to hitting a bunch of small plates since it was just the two of us. That was a great idea and worked out perfectly. They had some enticing cocktails on the menu, but I stuck with a local beer. Overall, great experience, a unique delicious menu, friendly staff...what more could you ask for? read more

A restaurant with a lot of potential, but still isn't quite there yet. We went during the second week of opening, and ordered Ube "Noodz", half a duck, and the endive salad. Food (2/5): The weakest aspect that needs to improve. Ube noodle broth was very underseasoned, and I think the recipe needs to be adjusted to have more umami in the soup. Noodles were good but did not have a strong ube flavor. We added chicken to the dish, but they should have used thigh instead of breast (too dry). Endive salad was good. Duck should be cut into smaller pieces (instead of cut into large chunks) similar to chinese bbq to make it easier to eat with chopsticks. Pickled carrots/shredded cabbage was not a good pairing. Food needs improvement if they want to compete (especially with other amazing restaurants in the area) Drinks (5/5): Cocktails/drinks were pretty good and the menu is pretty diverse, with drinks that are boozy to refreshing. Pandan Lemonade is well made. Kung Pao Panda has a good balance between acid and spice from the Mezcal. Bar director/bartender knows what they're doing. Ambiance (5/5): I think this was the aspect that was most impressive. You could see that all the details of the interior design, plates, tableware, even the mini-lazy susans were well thought out. Small touches, like having logos on the chopsticks, the napkin rings, the cups used for drinks, were all exceptional. Staff was very friendly. Has seating both at the bar, for groups, and smaller 2 tops. read more

I am now convinced that Duckine is Lahaina's premier Pan Asian - Chinese restaurant! After visiting Duckine last November we couldn't wait to see how the owners continued to evolve their trendy eating spot. They did it! We finished a busy day of work and needed a great early dinner. So when we arrived the nicest server Meilani greeted us and made a recommendation to try the different Bao during Happy Hour. We tried the duck, pop shrimp and the Waygu burger meat filings. The bao buns were warm and just the right texture. The meat filling were moist and tasty. The sauce and vegetables perfectly matched. The King Pao Seafood was nicely spicy and the sauce was not as heavy as it is in many Chinese restaurants. We enjoyed this dish. But my favorite still is the Char Siu Pork Chop. I described it in a previous review. It is flavorful and the meat perfect. The accompanying Bok Choy was probably wok prepared. I prefer steamed Bok Choy but this is a personal preference. One of our party orders the 'Escape' cocktail. She loved it. We also had the Sake Sparkling Wine which was another treat. Then we had the Kaya Toast for dessert! Delicious! First thing I want to say is that the food was pretty good for a modern take. The only issue I had was that overall my soup was ehh. Everything else was good! The ambience was fine for a date night or just dinner. The biggest issue I had was on service. It took awhile for out waters to be refilled but my biggest pet peeve is paying for the tab and the waiter just watching. Personally, I don't think the waiter deserved the amount we gave since he lacked attentiveness and enthusiasm to assist us. He doesn't need to ecstatic but act like you like your job. You chose customer service. Does anyone like it when someone's watching you pay for your bill? Bc I certainly don't. Please return your staff to be more courteous. Mahalo. read more

Would not recommend. We ordered the half duck and ribeye. Duck was extremely dry and barely had any meat - only fat. Ribeye was highly disappointing - meat was a poor quality cut (very fatty). Servers were very nice but food was overall not worth the high prices and lacked in quality. read more

Duckine is a new Asian fusion restaurant that replaced the former Chinese restaurant on Lahaina. We ordered several items for lunch - mostly from the lunch menu but they are flexible and allowed us to order a couple of dinner items too. The favorite was probably the Pressed Duck Bao. A must have since they specialize in duck ;) The onion pancake was good and the bok Choy was very good - crunchy and cooked just right (not too greasy and still green). We also ordered the Pressed Duck loco moco. The duck was great but too much hoisin sauce that made it way too salty. I would go with white race instead of garlic fried rice too. We also go the beef loco moco with white race. Beef was a little too raw - wish they asked how we wanted it cooked. Lastly, we got a fish dish with Chinese sausage - fish needed more seasoning. So good and bad. But they have only been opened for two months. My bet is that they will get better over time. read more

Had lunch at the bar during their promotion happy hour, 50% off entire menu except for alcohol beverages. We had the small plates: Pork hash, poke, puff shrimp, and popular duck bao buns. The portions were generous and the food was tasty. The service was quick and friendly. The bartender Justin greeted us and gave us the full intro to the menu sharing what was his favorites as well as the popular items. We had the Jade Face Assassin and Sang Tao beer. To finish it off we enjoyed the popular Kaya Toast. Save room cause it is a must. We highly recommend and will be going back to try the other items on the menu. read more

We went on New Year's Day and it was awesome! The service Was slow to start but it was New Year's Day and I just appreciate people showing up!!;) The manager noticed we hadn't been helped and took our order and got the drinks going. The cocktails are very interesting and after two I felt a giddy buzz! Our server was Koa, he introduced himself as we were getting our drinks, he was friendly and had a cool way about himself that I appreciate at a local restaurant We had the soup, the half duck and the rice, which was Koa suggestion as we forgot to order a starch when we ordered fro manager. All the dishes were flavorful and well cooked. The dumpling in The soup was heavenly!! The half duck left plenty for lunch the next day and the rice so good we mopped it at the table. I was absolutely blown away by this new restaurant! The drinks, apps, entrees, & desserts are phenomenal. We cancelled our reservations to other places just to return to Duckine for more of their incredible offerings. Take a big group & order a bit of EVERYTHING to share. Such a great meal! The Char Siu pork chop was gospel to our tastebuds. The duck bao buns were so great. Cocktails were unique and tasted awesome. The service was great as well! Had lunch a few days back at Duckine. It was a great experience all around. Great location, great service and great food. We had the duck bao, the crispy noodles, the crispy duck special, the kurobuto pork dumplings and garlic fried rice. They were all terrific! We then finished it off with the highly recommended Kaya Toast. Special mention to Koa and Eric for their great service and recommendations on what we should try. Very sweet of Eric to give me a hairpin with flowers to stick in my hair. They definitely made the experience a memorable one. We cannot wait to be back. read more

Rubber duckie, you're the one! This has quickly become one of my favorite places on the island. Such cute duck themes throughout the restaurant and menu. Customer service is great and food and drinks are amazing. You can literally order just about anything on the menu for drinks or food, and you will be in heaven. I loved the jah mule and allspice up your life cocktails. And wagyu bao buns and crispy tako/octopus bao buns - oh man these are bomb. Literally everything we ordered - the noodles, the duck and fish, the tofu, the dumplings - it was all so flavorful and delicious! read more

Wow. First time here, live Southside so don't get up to the Westside much. From the outside to the inside, the place has a great, clean, fresh fusion vibe. All the staff is friendly, attentive and helpful. Our server, Koa, was on point with the recommendations. We started with duck bao buns and the shrimp puffs. Fresh, amazing. Then moved to the Endive Salad and fried noodles, finally finishing with the steamed Opakaka. Everything tasted great, not one complaint. Went with hubby & our adult children for dinner just before sunset. We sat outside to enjoy the water views. This was our first time eating Duckine. The last time we came to this exact same location to eat, it was a Chinese food restaurant. This definitely is a step up from the previous. Everything we ordered was really tasty. We ordered family style, so we ordered a variety of dishes that met dietary restrictions. We had one vegan eater, and three pescatarians. We ordered the SCALLION PANCAKES, DUCKINE CHOPPED SALAD, BUDDHA BOWL, FRIED RICE, GREEN BEANS, SEAFOOD KUNG PAO, DANDAN NOODLES and a couple orders of PLAIN BAO. (Excuse the caps, I cut and paste from their menu) We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. The only thing I might do different next time is get the UBE NOODZ instead of the DANDAN NOODLES. We ordered the DANDAN NOODLES vegan style and the UBE NOODZ appear to have a better flavor profile for vegan style. Oh and swap out plain bao for mushroom bao buns. Make reservations to eat here you won't regret it! I might regret telling you to go though because I can see this place turning into Star Noodle where you have to make reservations months in advance. Absolutely amazing. The chef, the wait staff, the bartenders, every element about this place is worth coming back to. Having come to Maui for many, many years, they have given new life to a place that was craving it. The duck baos are a traditional Chinese Peking duck sandwich with hoi sin sauce. The rib eye was delicious! The best part was dessert...don't skip the pandan donut thing with ice cream. We had several amazing dishes with appetizers and salads but we walked away disappointed in one thing. The duck! The key protein for our meal. We made the mistake of ordering a duck leg with the duck soup and a duck leg with a noodle dish as we expected this to be a signature dish. Duck is tender, juicy and flavorful. But both duck legs were deep fat fried for far too long and were dry and inedible. It was cooked like deep fat fried chicken or French fries which would be disappointing even if cooked perfectly. We are local and will be back as the other menu items looked very good. Just don't order a duck leg. The dogs loved it though. read more

Finally got to try Duckine. 1. They did a awesome job revamping the great location. The vibe is so perfect, and it's so nice to have a restaurant with easy parking in Lahaina. 2. To start, I ordered the Bang Bang crab dip, which was absolutely phenomenal, along with a Birds of Paradise cocktail. Both were a fantastic way to begin the meal. For my main course, I had the uni nigiri and the Cajun seared hamachi sashimi. The uni was wonderfully sweet and melted in my mouth, pairing perfectly with the rice and seaweed in the nigiri. The Cajun seared hamachi sashimi was equally delightful -- beautifully presented and full of flavor. Dessert was difficult to choose because everything sounded amazing, but I ultimately went with the ginger crème brûlée served with lemon cream and anise cookies. It was the perfect ending to the meal, and I finished every bite completely satisfied. The cuisine here is exceptional, especially if you enjoy pan-Asian flavors like I do. Combined with the absolutely gorgeous ocean view, Japengo offers an unforgettable dining experience. Without a doubt, this was one of the highlights of my trip to Maui.

Hula grill got it right. It was delicious. My husband got the Mac nut fish, and he said it was ok. He said it needed a better beurre Blanc sauce. Maybe with some citrus. It lacked flavor. But the best thing here was the kids menu. When we went they had a $20 petite filet with mash potatoes. It was perfectly cooked. My 2 year old ate ALL 4oz of the filet! It was that good. I tried a little piece and hot damn, what a deal. The best kids menu deal when they have it available! Get it. It was our anniversary, so the server gave us a celebratory hula pie. So good. It's nice they recognize your celebratory moment too!

I recently had an amazing dining experience at Duckine Restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the inviting atmosphere and top-notch service set the stage for a memorable meal. The menu offered a delightful fusion of flavors, and each dish we tried was a masterpiece. We started with the pressed duck bao and crispy octopus bao, both bursting with flavor. The Wagyu Burger bao was a fun twist on a cheeseburger, and the succulent Wagyu beef paired perfectly with the fluffy bun. The Ube Noodz dish had a broth that was incredibly satisfying, and the noodles had the perfect chew. The Kurobuta Pork Dumplings were super juicy, and each bite was a delight. Alongside our meal, the bartender was exceptionally nice and gave us great recommendations. From the Mai Tais to the Mules and other handcrafted drinks, the cocktail program at Duckine was truly impressive. Overall, Duckine Restaurant surpassed our expectations with its exceptional food, friendly service, and fantastic cocktails. I've lived on Maui for years, so I had to try this new restaurant! Our server, Meilani, was the best!!! Not only was her service friendly and efficient, but she was also very accommodating to my food allergy (Celiac) and assured me the food would be gluten free and delicious!
