We are HIGHLY satisfied with all aspects of the experience, including the functioning of the installed equipment. All of the many PEARCE team members I had contact with were a pleasure to work with. Communications with PEARCE were prompt, succinct, and complete; expectations were clear. Pricing was reasonable. A detailed description of our experience follows: PEARCE was introduced along with 2 other vendors by Puget Sound Energy (PSE) as a candidate for installing an EV Charger (which we had procured separately) and associated electrical wiring and breakers. The PEARCE representative, Isaac, made a much better impression than the other vendors. He appeared in person (rather than over the phone like another vendor) to examine the site and he answered all my questions; thanks to the information he provided we moved the installation point to a better location. PSE also introduced 3 vendors for installation of a Heat Pump, a system that would be new to our 1970s-era split-level house. Two of these vendors proposed (based on our home's square footage) a 3-ton capacity Hybrid Heat Pump, with one stating that additional ducting would be needed; the third vendor was adamant that we would need a ductless heat pump because a Hybrid Heat Pump system would not function with our home's ducting. The variance in Heat Pump proposals left me confused. Therefore, due to Isaac's positive impression, I asked PEARCE to make a Heat Pump proposal. Brian visited the following day and was able to alleviate my concerns with his technical knowledge and his rich experience with Heat Pumps. He said that though he would be happy to install a 3-ton capacity system, he believed a 2.5-ton capacity Hybrid Heat Pump system would be a better fit given factors beyond our home's square footage, such as the size of our ducting and our house layout. The PEARCE team arranged to have both the EV Charger and Hybrid Heat Pump installed at the same time. Isaac installed both the EV Charger and the electrical wiring for the Heat Pump, including placing easy-to-read printed labels on the installed breakers. A multi-person team led by Jake installed the Hybrid Heat Pump system over two days. I was very pleased by the routing of the lines between the external Heat Pump and interior Air Handler (located in our laundry room): no conduit needed to be run on the exterior of our home and no interior walls needed to be cut open and repaired. A nice touch by Jake's team was the fabrication of a metal pocket next to the Air Handler for storing the equipment manuals. The installation teams were respectful of our property, including wearing booties or laying cloth rugs to protect our floors. Alison of the office team was a pleasure to deal with in setting up dates, dealing with a minor issue, and invoicing. We have been able to experience the functioning of the installed Hybrid Heat Pump system on both cool and warm days and are very satisfied; the 2.5-ton capacity system that Brian recommended meets our expectations for both heating and cooling. Regarding heating: compared to the gas furnace it replaced, the new system keeps our home at a more even temperature both throughout the zones of our house and across the hours of the day. Regarding cooling: previously we had no cooling system; the heat pump exceeds our expectations in cooling our entire home effectively with relatively even temperatures across zones. The PEARCE people take pride in doing quality work and are a pleasure to work with.

Gather round…read more Do you despair when necessary tasks require your: Research (time) Hard earned capital (time) Trust and faith someone will actually do a proper job (emotional well being) Samsies. This is our second experience with Eco. After the first (plumbing) it was a no brainer to call them again. This time for electric and it feels like a pretty large job; three buildings on our property including one full panel redo. They do charge for an estimate. This could take you by surprise. They didn't used to. But we are all in this wild economy together so it makes sense. They also make you feel like you got good value out of the inspection. Extremely thorough. It's refreshing to see people/businesses know their worth. It's not a money grab. It's highly skilled professionals giving you a ton of their time. That's worth a lot more than what they charge. Probably just covers gas. We did our due diligence however and had other quotes. Eco was the last to quote and because of their extreme level of detail we knew they were it. No regrets. Jordan was our main man. He represents Eco so well you'd think he owned the business. Knowledge, professionalism, easy manor, precision, experience... what more do you want? He's also pretty cool. Bonus points for that ;) This is one of those rare and magical situations where the dollar spent feels well deserved. I'm not sure what else can be said. While everything worked out well we can say this: ECO easily blows the competition out of the water. Pro's - Basic work seemed to be done well and at a price that was competitive with others I contacted at least for the basic service. - Communication was prompt. - After some re-scheduling on their part, the team did the work swiftly and efficiently. - Most of the terms were clear in advance, using Yelp Projects. Con's - This is a fairly shiesty corner of the home maintenance world. Many providers seem to give you a low-ball estimate to get in the door and then upsell significantly. - Envirosmart is not an exception. - The initial quote was $200. This included scoping the ducts and doing the negative pressure clean-out. - Onsite, they then upsold me to $670 for a more thorough brushing of the vents, sanitation, and some other ancillary services. - They were only modestly well-organized. They called the day-of to reschedule because of a conflict with internal training. They also confirmed a different time than I had originally scheduled. It was the difference of a 9 to 11am original window and a 2:30-3pm arrival. - The Yelp Project communication could have been clearer. They did not specify whether they were calling to quote me or coming to do the service! Amid all this and with some clarification and flexibility on our part, we worked it out. I would have appreciated either a discount or additional service for the delay. None was proffered. I did not go ahead with the upsell as I had already gotten quotes for less from other providers with somewhat more transparent pricing. I think the work they did appeared fine. See attached pics. Your guess is as good as mine which are before and which are after! They did not specify when they sent them to me and email took off the timestamp. I'm hoping the cleaner ones. I probably will try another service when I do this again and with a higher rated provider. All in all, though, I had low expectations and those low expectations were met.

He showed us all of the work he was doing as he was doing it and did not charge suggest or charge for anything unnecessary. The pricing was fair and transparent, and his expertise in HVAC was clear. They were able to come out very soon after my initial request, and all communication was prompt and friendly. After being frustrated with not so great service from two other vendors in the past, Peter and Pure provided hands down the best HVAC experience we've had and we're switching over to Pure for both annual maintenance and to install another mini split later this year.
