Great service. Enjoyed the atmosphere outside watching a game. The wings were amazing.

We had oysters, a wedge salad, and the seafood alfredo. All very tasty and our waitress was very nice. Will be coming back

Service was great and friendly atmosphere. We had flounder and shrimp. Large portions and prepared as we ask. Crispy!

This restaurant was exactly what the East Side needed when it arrived on the scene. The atmosphere is simultaneously perfect for a date night or for the big game, and I regularly enjoy it for both! When you walk in, you'll immediately notice the large bar surrounding the grill where you can saddle up, enjoy a beverage, and watch your steak being cooked to perfection. There is also ample seating on the front patio, plus a back porch which is more for sports-watching. The menu has evolved slightly over the past several years, refined down to the best of the best dishes. Don't let them forget to bring you some of the signature biscuits while you peruse the menu; they are loaded with cheesy, onion-y goodness! For an appetizer I highly recommend the Pimento Cheese Fries or the She-Crab Soup. They also do an outstanding job with calamari which is served with a sweet and spicy sauce that is a yummy update to the traditional marinara. Also from the Starters menu are the wings, which are perfect to order from Hub City Delivery if you are having a group of friends over. Try the Garlic Parmesan dry rub! When I'm craving a really good steak, Dudleys is one of the first places I think of. Whether you go for the 14oz Ribeye or the 8oz Filet Mignon, each steak is seasoned and grilled to your liking, plus the garlic butter they put on top doesn't hurt! On my last visit, I went for another of my favorite entrees: Low Country Boil. You rarely see this on a menu because it is quite complicated to serve so many types of seafood and meat that are each cooked properly, but Dudleys has it figured out. There is plenty to share between two people, if you're willing: 4-5 oysters, 6 mussels, 4-5 shrimp, 1 cluster of crab legs, served over sausage, corn, onions and potatoes in a delicious broth. Served up with melted butter, lemons, crackers, hot sauce, you name it, this meal is sure to please! The sandwiches are great for a smaller meal, and if you're there on a Thursday, they are 1/2 off. One of my husband's favorite is the brisket sandwich which is to die for with the melty cheese, caramelized onions, and savory au jus complimenting the smoked-in-house brisket. Be sure to check out the Dudleys Facebook page for food specials and other special nights such as Wednesday's Ladies Night: 1/2 priced drinks and appetizers. Dudleys is a staple for the East Side, and if you want more Spartanburg Restaurant Reviews, look no further: www.hubcitybites.com

The shrimp and grits with a fried egg!

We tried this place on a Thursday night by recommendation. We walked in and thought 'what a cool little spot' the open kitchen was upfront behind the bar, they had some nice outpost seating with heat lamps and a TV and a good amount of indoor tables. Far beyond the kitchen, decor or food was the service. Our waiter Will was top notch. Friendly, accommodating and just a real gem. One of our guests had a food allergy and Will was quick to say 'no problem- our food is all made to order, if you can dream it- we can do it!' We enjoyed the seafood boil (fish, shrimp and scallops) - broiled, they served 2 fish filets, 2 scallops and 3 shrimp- it was good, could've used a touch of seasoning- but still good. We also had the fried chicken sandwich which was large and served with some delicious fresh cut French fries. The best was the Shrimp and Grits with a fried egg- that was just delicious and had great flavor. We also ordered the daily dessert made fresh by the wife's owner- a strawberry cake, also very rich in strawberry and yummy. Overall we had a great meal- the owner even came over and said hello and thanks us for coming. But above all the service Will provided is what gets a great review! Can't beat that! I'm sure we'll be back and next the for the steak! :)

Seafood platter--super delicious! Only wish we could split the cooking styles

Sort of reminded me of an old diner that had be renovated to a clean upscale vibe. We ordered the steak kabobs and they were mouthwatering with flavor. My fiancee got an old fashioned and I got a rabbits foot, one of their craft gin cocktails. It was AMAZING, the gentleman's ice cube I believe was made with lavender so as it melted, your drink was even more flavorful and not watered down. He ordered the shiny duck and I the beef fillet and mashed potato. Both were also delicious, this is a farm to table spot so you know it's fresh. One thing which I didn't minus a star for was considering the price point I would think they would offer a vegetable with your meal. Few spears of broccolini or asparagus or carrots, just to make it feel a little more well-rounded of a plate. The were out of a few items being a busy day/night but we didn't mind. We will try them next go around. Our server Erin was just epic, great sense of humor and very attentive! We will be back again and make sure to sit in her section. Cheers to supporting local non chain restaurants!

My husband ordered cheddar biscuits with whipped honey butter. Awesome solid choice for an appetizer. Short rib ragu was very wine forward, not my favorite, could reduce the red wine just a bit more, I prefer tomato and meat forward ragu sauce with short rib still has a bit of bite to it. This one since it's braised for 36 hours, it was too mushy for my liking. My husband's chicken parm was under seasoned, chicken cutlet was juicy, but the crust lacked a bit maybe because marinara sauce was poured over it, maybe double fry the cutlet before serving?! Our son's burger was fantastic, well seasoned, smash patty was still juicy and had a wonderful crust on both sides. Fries are soooo yummy, could use a bit more garlic in the aioli. We were seated in the corner facing the kitchen, so our son could see the busy kitchen and look outside through the big windows. Our waitress Jordan, she was wonderful, understanding and helpful. Overall, 3.5/5

The interior is really cute and little more upscale with a very cozy fire place in the middle and plenty of outdoor/patio seating. We ordered our drinks and appetizers.
