Calamari with aioli and mac n cheese
    Elizabeth A.

Location 10th floor AC Hotel-mid town Spartanburg just off Nain Street Parking Large private lot Atmosphere Classy upscale dining room and bar. Beautiful overlook balcony/porch for night view of Spartanburg. Seating Bar, tables on veranda, inside tables Service Not customer friendly-just okay Menu Wide selection of food items-full bar. We ordered Brussel sprouts, man n cheese, and calamari-servers heard to ask out loud," who orders mac n cheese and brussel sprouts"!!! Note- no brussel sprouts (also happened at another venue). Mac n cheese was AWESOME-super good!! Best ever!! Calamari was not very crisp-we asked for marinara as opposed to the lemon aioli ( not our fav) and could only have cocktail sauce-okay substitution. Full bar. Summary Beautiful view of Spartanburg. Nice menu selection. Not the best service.

    The Birthday hurrah.

Happy Birthday to my mother. Mother's choice for her birthday and it was a treat for all! Whit and Deana made sure we didn't miss a beat from appetizers to cutting our brought in birthday cake! We had a party of 10 from 6 yrs old to 85 and everyone had a great experience. Appetizers were calamari, shrimp cocktail, and Nola Shrimp. All had rave reviews. The calamari was so tender it melted in your mouth. Some of our main meals were surf & turf with lobster tails, shrimp gnocchi, and duck those folks were all the clean plate club award recipients. Shareable sides I strongly support ordering the Mac and Cheese it was macalicious! The bread deserves an encore as well. All around rave reviews. Thanks for making my moms birthday super special.

    Delicious creamy espresso martini

I wanted to provide an update following my visit on Tuesday night. I ordered the charbroiled oysters, which had good flavor but were noticeably soft in the center and didn't seem fully cooked through. Unfortunately, the following evening I began experiencing significant stomach discomfort that has been ongoing for a couple of days, along with lingering cramps. While I can't say with complete certainty that it was related to the oysters, the timing makes it a strong possibility. I'm sharing this in hopes the restaurant can review their preparation process to ensure everything is cooked thoroughly and safe for guests.

Located on the 10th floor of the AC Hotel, Level 10 is not a chain restaurant, it is Spartanburg's Finest Steak and Seafood restaurant. Level 10 offers both indoor and outdoor seating, the also offer a beautiful private dining room with its own private balcony, it is the sixth restaurant opened by the Rick Erwin Dining Group. Walk into the elegantly decorated modern dining room, filled with plenty of natural light from the many large windows that offer those impressive panoramic views of the city is quite impressive. Equally impressive is the attention to detail added to the upscale furniture, such as decorative booth pillows, that makes this dining room so comfortable and unique from many others. Whether it be at the bar or one of the dining room tables, there is not a bad seat in the house. What really enjoyed was the fact this is an upscale NON chain steakhouse that offers a progressive menu that even a vegetarian can order happily from. I have said it before and I will say it again, I a truffle freak! So naturally I had to try the Truffle Potato Croquettes. Crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, surrounded by their smoked paprika aioli, absolutely delicious. I also adore a good house made pesto sauce. Traditional pesto is a thick, green sauce that tastes bright and herby from the basil, and salty and rich from the cheeses and pine nuts. A good cream-based sauce comes in a bit milder and much creamier. I especially enjoyed theirs since it is more cream based, it comes right in the middle, not too heavy, not to light and creamy enough to coat the Gnocchi like a fine gravy. This is a classy place with great ownership, it was very nice to be greeted by Rick Erwin and the General Manager Travis Donovan. Cheers!

This place is at the top of the AC hotel and is very modern and seems to be a wonderful place for celebrations or date nights. They do require reservations I believe and they do have a business casual "dress code". The place itself is very stunning and the balcony is breathtaking. They will wait for the full party before you're seated. They automatically serve you with water and have a large menu with other drinks I assume. I was a little disappointed that the waitress did not mention any special or popular drinks or cocktails before I noticed the menu was taken away and I didn't get a chance to look at it. The menu itself doesn't really have a variety of foods, it focuses on steak and seafood. They do have a nice special which is three courses for $38 which seemed to be a good value considering all the sides are separate or a la carte from the entree. They also do serve some baked bread which is scrumptious. I ordered the three courses which is a selection of items and I chose: gourmet greens, the salmon and the crème brûlée. The gourmet greens were delicious but I wouldn't order this by itself at all. It's a very simple salad with only a light dressing and blue cheese, it seemed to lack flavor besides the cheese. It also says it came with cranberries but it indeed did not. The salmon was very flavorful with its salad underneath and had a very interesting earthy flavor. Definitely a more adventurous taste. Of course the crème brûlée was delicious and not too sweet, I loved the addition of the blueberries. As far as the other pictures I have, my boyfriend ordered the she crab soup, the shrimp and grits and the brownie sundae. I did try the shrimp and grits and it was very very tasty. If I did like shrimp I would 100% order this. It was full of flavor and different spices, a complete contrast to the salmon. They also do have a sparkler for birthdays and other celebrations and with the birthday a free dessert. Overall, it is a must go to for a special night as the experience and ambiance is entrancing but the food itself anything absolutely mind blowing. I would pick and choose and see what you would be interested in and maybe be a little out of the box!

Crunchy out outside and so soft and hot inside

This was the first time coming here. Came highly recommended from a man we talked to during the day. The restaurant was located on the 10th floor of the AC Hotel. They even had Patio seating outside but it felt too muggy to me. We decided to eat inside. We Wanted to go somewhere special for our anniversary. This is definitely a place you can go to celebrate a birthday or anniversary. The waitress and wait safe were are all very accommodating and made sure we didn't need anything. When the waitress found out it was our anniversary she asked if we wanted some champagne on the house. That was a wonderful added touch to dining here. The bread was hot, crunchy on the outside and inside hot and soft. The dip was good too! We both had a Salad which had dried cranberries, almonds with a vinaigrette dressing which was very good. We both got the She Crab Soup as well and it was topped with sherry. Creamy and it was delicious with pieces of crab meat in it. The entrée I picked was the filet mignon, came with mashed and asparagus. I ordered a side of of some Bernaise sauce to have with my steak. I ordered it rare and it came out cooked perfectly. The other meal that he choose was the salmon, said it was one of best he has ever had in a restaurant. Cooked perfectly & seasoned perfectly. This was definitely a nice place all the way around, even the patio view of the city was nice . We would go back again for sure.

Great Atmosphere, but food was sub par for the price. Filet was salty, and the salad just wasn't very good.

Sort of reminded me of an old diner that had be renovated to a clean upscale vibe. We ordered the steak kabobs and they were mouthwatering with flavor. My fiancee got an old fashioned and I got a rabbits foot, one of their craft gin cocktails. It was AMAZING, the gentleman's ice cube I believe was made with lavender so as it melted, your drink was even more flavorful and not watered down. He ordered the shiny duck and I the beef fillet and mashed potato. Both were also delicious, this is a farm to table spot so you know it's fresh. One thing which I didn't minus a star for was considering the price point I would think they would offer a vegetable with your meal. Few spears of broccolini or asparagus or carrots, just to make it feel a little more well-rounded of a plate. The were out of a few items being a busy day/night but we didn't mind. We will try them next go around. Our server Erin was just epic, great sense of humor and very attentive! We will be back again and make sure to sit in her section. Cheers to supporting local non chain restaurants!

My husband ordered cheddar biscuits with whipped honey butter. Awesome solid choice for an appetizer. Short rib ragu was very wine forward, not my favorite, could reduce the red wine just a bit more, I prefer tomato and meat forward ragu sauce with short rib still has a bit of bite to it. This one since it's braised for 36 hours, it was too mushy for my liking. My husband's chicken parm was under seasoned, chicken cutlet was juicy, but the crust lacked a bit maybe because marinara sauce was poured over it, maybe double fry the cutlet before serving?! Our son's burger was fantastic, well seasoned, smash patty was still juicy and had a wonderful crust on both sides. Fries are soooo yummy, could use a bit more garlic in the aioli. We were seated in the corner facing the kitchen, so our son could see the busy kitchen and look outside through the big windows. Our waitress Jordan, she was wonderful, understanding and helpful. Overall, 3.5/5

Ambience, ambience, ambience and NO tvs. Hannah was our pleasant young server; I asked Hannah to confirm that she is a lifelong resident of Spartanburg, and the pleasing Carolina voice was a moral boost. Earlier we had enjoyed the Kentucky voice of Angel- both girls were angels. Heirloom has a small menu and a small dining room, but extra large hospitality. Because of a buffet lunch, we settled on burgers - No, cannot prepare medium rare. Very possibly menu items have spent a good deal of time in the freezer. Heirloom is on our way to weeks autumn and spring at Hilton Head, so we shall revisit. Merits 5 stars (not for food) for neat dining experience.

We ordered Brussels sprouts for an appetizer and mini hand made biscuits for appetizers which were pretty good. My youngest son and I both ordered Salmon (altered from the what's on the menu) sweet potato puree I ordered the corn and my son ordered asparagus, my husband ordered Gumbo and my oldest son ordered a steak. The presentation of the food was nice and the food was good, I enjoyed my meal but I tasted my husbands gumbo and we both felt that it lacked flavor...for it to be creole gumbo and a side of creamed corn (he and I could have shared that bowl...there was a lot). When the manager came she said it was a party of 6 that they charge. When asked why their menus weren't noted that they charge mandatory gratuity. They said that they are printing new ones, that it is a policy that they just started 6 months ago. As far as I am aware in order for them to charge mandatory gratuity they have to have it posted in the menu. My point is if you change your policy at least have the menus updated before you have the policy in effect. Ended up paying the service fee of over $35 for all of us. Will be going to a place where tips are earned and not mandatory imposed as a service fee.
