He was also sure to take care of all the details, including removing existing speakers and lights that would no longer fit and properly patching up holes. On a side note, one of the great things about this place is that they accept lightbulbs for recycling. I have been coming here for quite a while doing this (the big retailers don't do that anymore), and recently switched out all of my fluorescent bulbs for LED ones in the garage and kitchen. Duke has truly been god sent when it came to our new home electric work, especially in the kitchen. Our countertop contractor, who was also handling (truly messing up) our kitchen electrical work, had cut into a 2x4 and broke a ton of electrical codes leaving our house prone to electrical fires. Duke came in highly recommended by our painting contractor (review to be added soon), and quickly identified the issues and recommended solutions. Duke was extremely professional and helped us get everything fixed and up to all NEC codes. He upgraded all the old switches, added recess lights and upgraded the existing ones to 5K. He also upgraded our kitchen electrical to accommodate our new appliances. He researches things he might not know and comes up with a plan, educates you, gets your buy-in and only then executes. The lighting adds to the overall look we are trying to go for our new place, and Duke and his crew has been amazing in achieving it. Our under cabinet lighting, the built-in puck lights, the recessed lights, all look great. Duke is extremely busy but was always responsive and scheduled us in a timely manner. I can't recommend Duke Electric enough! They recently completed a trifecta of electrical tasks at my house, and they absolutely aced it all. Duke came over for an estimate and answered all my questions. Tesla Wall Charger Installation: Eddie made the Tesla wall charger installation process smooth and efficient. I wanted the charger installed outside and he was able to install it behind the wall so that there is no conduit. It looks very clean. Electrical Subpanel Replacement: My old subpanel was outdated and needed replacing. Duke, Eddie and another person replaced it quickly and professionally. They also made sure to clean up after themselves, which I really appreciated. Ceiling Fan Light Replacement: While they were at it, they replaced an old ceiling fan light. Installation was quick and efficient. Overall, I was incredibly impressed with Duke Electric's expertise, communication, and customer service. They were punctual, professional, and vreasonably pric. I am not one to leave reviews but my experience with Duke Electric was so amazing that I hope this will help others find this team. I purchased my first property which was a fixer upper to say the least. It was a pretty large job - bringing plugs up to code, adding can lights, fixing existing ones, hanging several chandeliers, install TV above fire place, ect. Many electricians I spoke with were hesitant with how many parts there were to this job. Not, Duke. From the beginning he was an amazing collaborator giving recommendations from experience with transparent pricing. Duke was in constant contact with me (I was not living in the area yet) to be sure I was up to date with everything going on. His team also went above and beyond patching up holes from their work in the walls AND texturing it. He's very flexible and has a can-do attitude to work out the best way to implement a project. Today, I had the pleasure of meeting Eddie and his brother. They were very polite and came to fix my ceiling fan and wiring from the fan to the switch. Before starting the work, they placed plastic sheets to protect the area from any mess. I met Duke 3 years ago while searching for an electrician for my rental property. I found Duke to be extremely knowledgeable and extremely careful. As a landlord Duke knew I would have liability if the electrical work was not completed to code and was careful to adhere to safety standards. Called Duke Electric this AM with a scenario of dimished voltage around the house. Lights were getting dim when appliances were being used. Microwave and coffee maker were struggling with low power. He recommended that I contact PG&E to check on their connections. The PG&E guy replaced the copper/aluminum connection at the pole and that solved the problem. I appreciated their professionalism during the first few projects. Unfortunately, my most recent service--the most expensive one--left me disappointed. After the work was completed, I noticed that one breaker on my panel was missing a label. When I asked Caio, the owner, about it, I was told that they could not identify it during testing and that it might be connected to a hidden outlet. I was advised to turn the breaker off for several hours, or even a day, and see what stops working. When I asked what the old panel had listed for that breaker, I was told there was no label. As a customer who paid on time and in full, I expected better accountability. Since all of the wiring was stripped and reconnected during the panel replacement, I believe identifying and properly labeling the circuits should have been part of the job. The lack of ownership and follow-through was frustrating. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this service moving forward.

I recently hired Bahram (Altap) to replace our old Challenger main electrical panel and upgrade it to 200A to prepare for a new heat pump system. I brought in four different electricians for bids, and Bahram was the easiest choice. He navigated the City of Cupertino inspectors and PG&E, pulling off the city sign-off and the PG&E power reconnect on the exact same day. Over the few weeks this project spanned from estimate to completion, he might be quiet for a few days at a time, but he always came through. He responded exactly when it mattered, did exactly what he promised (including a last-minute breaker install right before the HVAC crew arrived), and delivered flawless work. He even connected us with a fantastic handyman to patch the walls afterward.
