I have been buying Duluth Trading products for a few years now. At first to try their underware to test their qualith. They passed with flying quality. Being I needed to be in Washington, D.C., I decided to buy their Undershirts with pockets. And I was not let down. They are made of thick cotton, no longer found on competing brands. No obtrusive tags on the sides like Nautulus and exceptionally comfortable as they don't cling to your body -- just a real comfortable fit. This company has amazing products for both men and women and I will continue to be back for more items. People in the store are great. Online ordering and their upper management is a joke. $80 for a pair of shorts? I could buy designer shorts for less than that. Duluth has forgotten everyday working people had made them a success, now everyday working people can't afford their clothing. They want $25 for one pair of underwear but you can't buy three pairs of the same exact Duluth underwear at Costco for $30. Does anybody else think Duluth is trying to gouge every cent out of us. I don't understand the value that people are talking about even if you go on the clearance or sale area... The stuff is massively overpriced. $250 for a jacket on clearance ?!? In my opinion. No customer service at all. I placed an order for a down coat during their sale. BTW, they are relentless in sending notifications of their sale. Eleven days later, I got the first and only communication from them advising that the item was no longer available. I had tried calling--no answer after more than an hour (yes, it was stupid to hang on that long), and email. They do advise that you'll wait 3 or 4 days for an email response. Good news is that I found a down coat, on sale, at one of their competitors. I was advised every step of the way. It's a lovely coat. So, all's well that ends well. And now I know I will never do business with Duluth again. Live and learn. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. The customer service from this company is terrible. I will never be ordering from duluth again after this experience I ordered a jacket, it was ordered in the wrong color - I was told i could do an exchange or return it - they couldnt change the order. I placed a second order and I was going to return the first. The second order did not have my apartment number on it. I called to have that changed and was told "they placed a note but couldn't guarantee it would be changed." Package was delived to the "front door" of a random city - not my actual address - called the post office of that city, they told me they couldnt help me that I would have to contact the person who made the label. Each time I have called duluths customer service I have had almost 2 hour wait times to talk to someone. I receiveded an email an hour later saying the first jacket was placed on back order and they would "update me as soon as it was shipped" and charged me for both jackets. I still have not received either jackets and got charged for both jackets. Save yourself the headache and don't order from this crap company. read more

This place seems eager to help you embrace your inner redneck from the advertising, but I came to check out the no-yank tanks (which unfortunately didn't even remotely fit me: a small was still too big under the arms but too tight in the belly, yet so long that it went down over my butt. Huh? Let me say I usually wear a M or L in most stores...). There was some interesting gear such as bags; I was tempted by the Kavu rope bag, a crossbody pack, but the rope strap was strange and price was pretty high (nearly $50) for not that big a bag. Overall, the garb here is more outdoorsy than my wardrobe usually calls for, but I'd stop in again to check out things like bags. read more

This was my 1st (and last) time ordering from Duluth. I placed an order for one time that was IN STOCK on 12-1-24 and still have not rec'd the item, despite being sent Fed-Ex. Customer service by phone (5 times) has been over 1.5 hours each time!) to be told they are so sorry that they are behind but order is coming. Promised by 12/13! Not here. Called again, told it should be arriving in next day or two, NOTHING. Called again, told by end of last week - nothing. Told again by Monday (today) and item is still in Wisconsin. Hasn't budged in 4 days. Told I could cancel order for full refund last Friday so I waited again to be told she would issue full refund, including all shipping charges since item NEVER arrived. Well, pending refund for only purchase price, no SHIPPING! Even employees said this was the worst they have been their service in years. But said it should all be fixed after the holiday. Which isn't going to help me any since item was for Christmas and still hasn't arrived. SOOOOO disappointed. NEVER AGAIN, learned my lesson. Since I refuse to spend any more time on hold (I think about 8 hours so far has been enough), I guess I'll take the refund minus shipping since my time is more valuable that shipping costs. ALSO, never got any other emails from them since original receipt of order. They said their IT dept was aware folks weren't getting notifications but that should get fixed too! But I can get their promo emails every day reminding me to shop and get 2 day shipping. I highly doubt it! read more

Watch out for clerkie Pat. Stay away from him. Old, grumpy dude with a tinge of racist. I've been here twice. Twice I had a problem with this man. Rather, this man had a problem with me. 1st time, I was returning an online item. He looks at me up and down, and says "figures". 2nd time, I'm there to pick up an online order. After waiting patiently in line for my turn, cashier goes to the back to get my order. Pat appears from out of nowhere to tell me to MOVE so he can help customers. I look at him and tell him I am a customer waiting for my order to be retrieved, but yeah, I'll move! I rarely encounter this type of BS, but already twice in a row here. Stopped in this place recently. It was my first visit to this store (and any Duluth Trading). The store is clean, well organized, and the employees friendly and helpful. I was greeted within five seconds of stepping foot in the store. An employee helped me find what I was looking for and explained the differences between the various types. As other posters have stated, the clothing is a bit pricey but it is high quality and should last a long time. I looked at their personal grooming items also. Their hand cream is comparable in price to what I purchase elsewhere so I might give their hand cream a try. read more

********HIGHLY RECOMMEND******** My husband LOVES Duluth. In the 10 years we've been married, he's never actually wanted to go out and buy clothes. He's a blue-collar man, and has been fine wearing old jeans, and t-shirts with holes in them, that are beyond 2 decades old. But, once we stepped foot in Duluth, that all changed. Everything from the ballroom jeans (which are made to provide plenty of room for the *cough* boys *cough*), to the lunch boxes, to the cooling Armachillo underwear to the cozy thick t-shirts, the quality for a working man's clothing is above-the-rest. They are a bit pricey, but you can tell that their clothes will last a VERY long time. We seriously can't go 2 months without my husband saying he needs something else from that store. The workers are always helpful and friendly - and of course, easy-going and laid back. No pretension in this place! We love it and will be coming back for ALL of my husband's future clothing. read more

I visited this store one Saturday afternoon after lunch near by. Although this isn't the type of store I see myself visiting on a regular basis (I'll explain why below), it is a very large and well laid out store What you will find at Duluth Trading: Coats for all seasons, athletic wear, basic shirts, jeans, shoes, lotions, soaps, and other items along those lines. Duluth makes many of their own items, but they also have a few other well known brands known for their high quality (such as Keen). This is a great place to visit for practical items, but not necessarily for stylish items. The practicality of the items are awesome, but style is important to me as well. I ended up only buying insulated gloves while I was there, but I did spend a lot of time in the store. Even though the prices for some items are more than I'd like to spend, I could tell that their products were made of high quality materials. Even their t-shirts felt really durable. The staff was friendly and readily available to answer any questions. read more

I was excited to see Downers Grove get a Duluth Trading Co. store. Duluth makes high quality, durable, rugged clothing great for anyone in the trades or for people who enjoy outside recreations like hiking or snowmobiling. The clothing is made to last which is why you are paying a higher price for the clothing. I like their work pants and the fleeced lined pants which are great for sub-zero days. Duluth also has a humorous side with product naming and funny marketing descriptions; buck naked briefs, ballroom jeans - crouch without the ouch, longtail t-shirts - a fix for the all too common plumbers butt and free range briefs. They have accessories and some really nice leather goods. An employee greet us at the door and other staff were stationed around ready to assist. read more

Yes, enjoy shopping here and online with pick-up at the store for free. Just picked up some shoremans fleece and waterproof gloves that match my shoremans fleece coat, along with my fleece lined pants from Duluth that keep all this cold weather and snow at bay, and away from the body keeping you snug and warm. Instead of cold and damp. With these high wind chills you can move about and let the wind blow as it may. Friendly customer service always someone around to help you out at the store. And if need be nicely done restrooms. With a nice sitting area to watch the best commercials around, and have something to drink as well. Take your time here and see items here you never thought of, but say I could use that great idea. Not to mention the hand creams, and other items of the like. read more

On the four occasions I've shopped, they have staffed enough cashiers so the longish lines move fast! And the store is always neat and well stocked. Lots of clothing and undergoodies, all sizes and colors. Prices fair for good quality Business Very Casual work wear, and colors and styles appropriate for all ages women! I did buy Longtail tees for my guy at great prices, mainly since the colors were going to be discontinued , super deal!! My only gripe is that I went with the intent to buy a leather bag that was rather pricey and asked the greeter at the door if there were any deals that day. She was unaware of any promotions going on. When I was at the checkout the clerk Gregg was happy to inform me that there was a deal and I get $50 off my purchase!! My point is everyone in the store should be aware of all specials to communicate to customers properly read more

If it weren't for a cool leather tote bag for $159.50, there wasn't much that I would consider for myself at Duluth Trading. Being way more on the pendulum side of girly-girl than work boots & sweats, I really couldn't find much to suit me. That said, this place is chock full of seemingly well made work (as in physical) work clothes, bare bones accessories, outdoorsy stuff (but not quite the outdoorsy, somewhat fashionable stuff of an LL Bean), flannel, warmth, denim. No frills, no sass, no bright colors, pastels or anything remotely resembling sexy. But if you're in complete bliss in a pair of dungarees and a flannel shirt, this is your place. They also have a lot of useful outdoorsy stuff if that's your thing. read more

I have purchased things from the online store a ton but I bought a pair of jeans on sale but picked the wrong size. I was in the area and wanted to do a return and swap for the correct size. They did not have my size in the store. I asked Pat for some help and he was wonderful. He looked at the inventory and they did not have them in the store so he called another store and had them sell the jeans to me at the same price I purchased them for. His customer service was above and beyond and I appreciated the help. I wasn't planning on picking anything else up but since he was so helpful I ended up spending some money in the store. read more

I was excited to see this store put down roots in Chicagoland. I have had difficulty with sizing when I ordered from the company online so I was eager to try before I buy. I entered the new Downer's location with great expectations and within the span of 15 minutes the same salesman in the women's department approached me 3 separate times. By the third time when he asked me if he could put my items that I had not yet tried on at the cash register, I snapped. I was still kind but firm and I think he got the message. I promptly put my items back and fled the store. If you enjoy intense customer service then this may be the place for you. read more

I just wanted to start off by saying thanks you! My husband and I came in with 7 pairs of work pants that needed to be exchanged. We've always known that there are some defects that happen over time, but Duluth stands by their policies and exchange and even ask how they can make things better. We knew going in there was the possibility they wouldn't have 7 of the same color and size he needs. We also knew there was the possibility they wouldn't take/exchange pants that where a few years old. But Peter and Liz diligently worked to take care of everything for us, and in a timely fashion. All while apologizing for the wait. One of the employees recommended a restaurant in the area that we had inquired about. Which to our dismay was a terrible experience where the staff and managers just laughed off our frustration. I say all that to say thank you to the staff at Duluth for literally being the best part of our customer service filled night. You are doing something right. read more
