We're panicking and toss the contents of her purse onto the floor. Roach falls out. I tell a worker who's sitting in the back--he's completely unphased, doesn't say anything. Already freaked out we ask for the check. Then another roach comes up on the wall (this one had wings lol). The host apologizes but doesn't discount our check whatsoever, despite the fact that we left all of the food we purchased because there was a damn roach on the table?! While this restaurant was busy, with both dine in and take out, I was greatly disappointed with my meal. There were 2 of us dinning in and the table is small and cramped, and Lighting poor. Our dishes came out one by one, so first my dumplings, then a couple of minutes later my friends dumplings, then my rice and roast duck followed a few minutes later by her dish of the same. Never once did the staff inquir if everything was okay until they cleared the table of my mostly uneaten rice and duck...both my friend and I agreed the duck was mainly bones and greasy skin...no meat. The menu should read, vertebrae of duck over rice, with a coating of grease. The waitress inquired when removing the plate about the unfinished meal, and we both indicated that the diners were mainly bones over rice. No apology or excuse offered, so I think they may have been told this before. My advice, order the dumplings to take out and enjoy them, but forgo the Roasted Duck "bones" of duck over rice. read more

When you walk in it's kind of a tiny place, but it's so cute and cozy inside. I loved the decor and the lighting was beautifully interesting. It was in a glass box casing. On to the food, I have ordered here several times and the food is always spectacular. My favorite is the Crispy Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken. I love the flavors in it. I also had the Roast Duck Noodle Soup which was one of my favorite soups and they do it so well there just enough duck and noodles. As for dumplings, I've tried the Steamed crab meat & pork soup buns, Shrimp dumplings, Pork & vegetable pot-stickers and Chicken & vegetable dumplings. Honestly, they were all unbelievably delicious which is why I go back here all the time for these dumplings. All of them are homemade dumplings and also there noodles which you could tell because they are extra delicious. What I also found interesting is they sell great bubble tea, and it's hard to find a good bubble tea place that make the bubbles just right. The Taro bubble milk tea is one of my favorites. Finally, they have great service and everything came out in good time. Only waited when I ordered take-out, but even then it was not a long wait. I honestly don't write a lot of reviews, but I feel compelled to do it for this one. That's how bad it is. I had lunch at this place like 2 years ago and remembered it as a great meal, but this time around, that was not the case. I was amazed at the fact that every dish we had was awful. I ordered a few sides to share with someone: Scallion pancakes (which were really good the first time I tried them), Taiwanese fried chicken, and the pork soup dumplings. I ate two pieces of the pancakes, and I found maybe two pieces of scallion? The rest was just a doughy, oily mess. Absolutely no flavor at all. The Taiwanese chicken was incredibly salty and chewy. The pork soup dumplings were very unappealing, when I poked them, the soup and the pork resembled liquefied brain matter. Even getting past the appearance, the flavor was nonexistent. The person with me ordered the Tonkatsu ramen and that was the only "decent" dish. Don't get me wrong, it still was very bland, but it was the best of the worst. Also, the egg? They did not peel it correctly so there was still shell attached to it. Not good. There's nothing special about the service either. The waiter did not check in with us, other than by delivering our food and check. Also, we noticed that their walls were dirty. Really, really dirty. Do they ever clean? It was gross, honestly. It is no exaggeration when I say this has been the most terrible dining experience I've had in a long time. The food was mediocre but it was the customer service that results in this review. I placed my order on the phone with an individual, stating the number as well as the written item of the order (for example S9 roasted duck and wonton noodle soup). There were also three other items. I repeated it to the individual three times because I was nervous he did not understand English very well. After he told me the total which sounded high I repeated the order with the dollar amounts and he acknowledged. I assumed it was tax. Up on receiving my order I got an extra order of appetizer. Additionally one of the orders I placed was wrong. Instead of using the opportunity to provide excellent customer service and refund me for the order that was charged in excess, he insisted I bring back the food. In today's work from home environment, stepping off the desk is inconvenient and hours are long. Mediocre food and horrendous customer service. read more

First review after a few visits. The guy at the counter didn't really happy to see us walking in for some reason. May be is was a long day for him. Any way, we sat down and found on the sticky table and scrap of dry food on our plastic menu. After a while, we received our super sweet Thai ice tea in which we have to diluted with our water to help out then following by plain appetizers. At this point, we are still have a high hope for our main course. Hmm. It didn't come out the way we Have hoped. Our General Tao Chicken was a candy sweet. This place is quaint, but located in a somewhat busy area. I didn't dine in but I ordered food to go on site. There is a bar and a few seating spots. There are a few vegetarian options, the vegan options are very limited. The staff is very customer service orientated and helped me put together a meal. I order the spring rolls and the veggie yaki sobs noodles. The spring rolls were good- nothing you haven't had before. The Yaki Soba noodles were good. These noodles are a thicker Japanese style noodle that is very chewy- one of my personal favorite noodle style. Based on the meal that I order, the top layer of noodles were not too flavorful but as you got to the bottom with the sauce the noodles tasted amazing- I definitely recommend thoroughly mixing the meal before eating or getting more sauce added. Soup dumplings - thin and decent outside skin, the meat inside needed a bit more seasoning. House fried rice - not bad a touch oily, and I would prefer the onions a bit more cooked. Soup dumplings passable, not the worst but not good enough either. Wrappers a bit thick but not "looking for the tear tab" tough and the pork filling, soup... decent. May be wrong, but the vegetable dumplings look and taste just like frozen packaged stuff. Identical green rice wrapper, same ground up edamame / shiitake / carrot / soy extract veggie paste as the stuff we buy for $4 a bag at HMart. Spicy beef salad. Where to start? In a place with Thai and Vietnamese dishes, was expecting something very different. Like a grilled, sliced piece of thin flank or skirt steak on a bed of ribboned lettuce, with finely shredded carrots and cabbage to the side, maybe some ground peanuts. A light but punchy lime juice or coconut vinegar, nuoc nam, scallion and fresh chili sauce. What arrived was a big pile of leafed iceberg, a handful of blanched carrot sticks, three half-slides of tomato, 4 green pepper pieces, topped with barely cooked deep-fried sliced beef like the stuff that belongs in broccoli beef, splattered with a bottled korean style chili sauce. Just artless, careless, and no, not very tasty. Fish with hand-cut noodles. Again not the worst ever but noodles were crazy thick, dang tough, the fish breaded and deep-fried, doused in the corn starch brown sauce with the fried onions and green peppers. Other customers seemed to all get fried rice, fresh rolls, and broccoli beef, which should have been a red flag. It's a fast food to-go place with decent deco and sit-down service, in a higher-end location at the edge of Bronxville's bourgeois zone, across from a hospital, with tons of Metro North foot traffic so it'll do fine despite being deep meh. read more

We were surprised when the server got so upset when we asked if we would be able to cancel it. She raised her voice and told us that we can't cancel it && they didnt serve the noodle yet because they're waiting for us to finish the buns, dumplings and soup which according to that upset server are all appetizers and the noodle is a main dish.
