Great new Chinese restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga. The food is taiwanese style. Initially came for dumplings but when i got here I saw another table with the beef noodle soup and couldn't resist. The meat was tender, soup flavorful and noodles were fresh. The menu was in English on one side and Chinese on the other. There were pictures posted along the walls, which were helpful in figuring out the written menu as it was not very descriptive. Service was friendly but was not organized. One guy got me seated but never followed up. Another staff finally took my order when I flagged them down after waiting a while. There were only a handful of guests so it makes me wonder about the service during busy hours. overall would come back for the food, & maybe try the dumplings next time! read more

I have not experienced their indoor service, but the food was very good. We ordered mainly XLBs. The order experience was very 'safe'. You order at the door, no entry into the restaurant (I went about a month ago). The wait wasn't terribly long, but I had enough time to walk across the street to get boba. I've always had a preference for Din Tai Fung's thin wrappers. I'm not really a sauce and ginger kind of gal -- only when the dumpling lacks flavor... I like to taste the flavor of the soup -- every time. Flavors, wrapping thickness (a bit thicker than DTF, but it's not so thick that it's a mess in itself), texture of the meat were all really great. I really enjoyed this one. I also ordered the pork and shrimp bun, it was also really good. I didn't find more meat than bun to be the case... We ordered to go, but we had a picnic in the back of our SUV with boba. I think texture could have been different if we waited till we got home. I like soup inside my XLB, not filling absorbed soup flavors -- this review would have been different. read more

Okay let me start by saying it saddens me to write this review. I've been here a couple of times before, and the food was phenomenal. I'm not sure if they have a new cook or what, but it's taken a bad, bad turn. This time, we ordered the pork buns, scallion and beef buns, and same flavors for boiled dumplings. The beef was more of a ground beef consistency with very very large pieces of white onion mixed in it. There was no Asian flavors at all. It tasted more like ground beef and onion you would find in an Italian dish. The pork was so bland and very pink that we decided not to eat it just in case. I like everything in this place except the waitress, I remember her from another hotpot restaurant next to another dumpling place on foothill, I didn't like her when she was at that restaurant. She is rude, doing nothing, and just talk...... I saw her forcing squeeze a chair next to a customer while he was eating without any heads up nor apologize, she was lucky that customer wasn't me. Also she would make customer to order some easy to made stuff just because it's 30 mins to the closing time. And she would lie about the stuff sold out. Came in on Friday 2/28/2020 The restaurant looked clean, the girl in the front was very nice. I sat down to eat in the restaurant and I ordered dumplings, buns and wonton soup. The waitress suggested that might be too much food for me but I told her I knew that and that I was going to take the rest of the food to my family. Super clean restaurant and the staff was very nice and helpful. I was hoping for a larger selection of dumplings- but maybe as this restaurant gets larger, so will the menu. They do however, have other things on the menu like orange chicken, scallion pancakes, Kung Pao chicken and walnut shrimp. We ordered salt and pepper shrimp that was really tasty, and their scallion pancakes were light and flaky. Pan fried dumplings were a bit on the heavy side, the dough needed more chew in them, but were good. The chow mein was fair, I'd probably do fried rice next go around. The flavors are on point whether it's dine-in or take out, they have a variety of items on their menu, and I love that they have pre-made frozen bulk dumplings to take home. This was my First time here. I've been trying to find a place in my area that had authentic great tasting Pork Xiao Long Bao. I was impressed with the XLB here. They had great flavor and were extremely juicy! I also tried the pork potstickers and Yang Chow Fried Rice, which were both really tasty. The fried rice had good flavor which is nice because usually the fried rice I get from other Asian restaurants are too bland. Yes - there is FINALLY some decent Dim Sum in Rancho! Yay, I will not have to drive to Arcadia when the Dim Sum craving hits me now. While the Dim Sum menu is very limited and many of the items on the menu are not available as of yet, what I have tried has been absolutely delicious. The staff have been polite, but have obviously not had training on how to set food on a table properly. But hey, this is not a fine dining establishment, it is a small strip mall Chinese restaurant where take-out orders probably outweigh the dine-in experience. I had no expectations for it to be a Michelin starred restaurant. I have visited twice since they opened this year for Dim Sum, but have plans to try the other items on the menu as they looked pretty tasty as the passed by my table. So, if the traditional menu items are good as well, it will be a win-win for me, as Rancho lacks in good traditional Chinese food as well. So far the restaurant appears to be well maintained and is clean. Let's hope it stays that way or it will mean end times for me, as unkempt restaurants are a huge no-no for me. Okay this place is amazing!! We go to San Diego to get dumplings normally on Convoy Street and this place was sooo much better. The soup dumplings were delicious and had a lot of broth in them. The pork buns are the best we have ever had too. Everything was so fresh tasting. The pork pie was crunchy and savory. The lamb dumplings were exactly how you could ever want lamb to taste, fresh and not gamey. Everything was made to perfection. The staff were all extremely nice and attentive. Our son has egg allergy and they were so helpful in letting us know what he could eat. Also there were a lot of options for him with all his allergies, I was pleasantly surprised by this. We've been here quite a few times now and made the mistake of using a delivery service, paid almost double their menu prices. No table settings or condiment tray unless you ask for it or get it yourself. if you're going to have an open kitchen or semi-open kitchen, you better keep it clean and uncluttered for all to see. XLB was rather bland and not very flavorful -- XLB wrapping was good and thin and soup stayed in though. The food here is really great compared to other dumpling houses in Rancho. We ordered the beef noodle soup, pork and cabbage dumpling, and the meat pie. Everything was exceptionally better than most Chinese restaurant in the area. Only reason why I couldnt give it all 5 stars is because the beef noodles were very lacking in noodles.
