The food is delicious compared to the other places i've been to in dundalk, the pork fried dumplings were caramelized almost don't was sweet and crunchy on the outside and then the pork was really flavorful that comes with a sweet sauce and it was delicious

I've had their food a few times now, but this was the first time I've ever been inside the restaurant. It looked very clean and tidy, but there weren't very many tables for dining in. I tried the kani and spicy tuna tacos and was impressed with both! The "taco" part seemed like it was a piece of seaweed folded and fried into the shape of a taco shell. They were nice and crunchy, which was a nice contrast against the soft fillings of the tacos. I would get them again! As for the sushi rolls themselves, I didn't have any complaints. All of the fish and rice tasted fresh. I really liked the volcano roll, but it's one of their "chef's rolls," so it's a little pricier. It's nice to have a decent sushi place in the Dundalk area, but I've had better at other restaurants that are still local (just a little farther away from me). Not bad sushi by any means, just not my personal favorite.

Tuna avocado --excellent Dabomo Roll -great Maguro Madness - v good Sexy roll--top left Baltimore- v good

Reservations are highly recommended, and I appreciated being able to book online. Just be aware they require a credit card and charge a $10 per person fee for no shows. Parking was free and easy, and after figuring out which entrance was for the dining room, we were greeted by a friendly hostess and chose to sit on the patio. The outdoor misting system was a nice touch on a warm summer day, and even at noon the restaurant was filling up fast. I started with a red sangria that was refreshing, although I never found the fruit I was told it included. My family enjoyed the crab dip, crabby chicken quesadilla, and crab balls, while I ordered the Stuffed Lobster Tail. Since I was told Jimmy's lobster and crab cakes are amazing , this was the perfect choice. It was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. My only disappointment was the charred broccolini, which was a little too firm for my taste. I had a great experience and can definitely see why Jimmy's is so popular. The service and food was excellent. I only wish I had time to come back for dinner before heading home. I also love that they ship their famous crab cakes nationwide. I may have to order some for my husband back in Georgia.

The ambience is very cute - there are multiple floors to the restaurant so one given area doesn't feel overly crowded. The cocktail menu has some fun and unique options and the food menu has something for everyone! We got the mussels to start, and honestly I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture. But the sauce was delicious and I loved the potatoes that came with it. The mussels themselves were very large too! For my main I got the hake, which was so tender and flavorful. It was a generous portion and I was stuffed, but we kept seeing other people order the coffee cake and couldn't help ourselves. I'm so glad we got it, because I'm not normally huge into coffee cake, but this was so delicious that we finished it all! Our server had great recommendations and was patient as we took a long time deciding what to order. I can't wait to come back!

Despite the food and drinks being actually *amazing*, I felt that service wasn't overly friendly or welcoming. It was also a bit disappointing they did nothing to help us celebrate/acknowledge our anniversary. We had been saving this spot for a truly special occasion, and felt like it was just a regular dinner to them. Would definitely come back, but would maybe save the special occasions for somewhere else.

Crab Pretzel - nice and soft. good for sharing. the flavor was simple and to the point. not heavily seasoned. shrimp mac and cheese - cavatappi noodles yayyyy. Right from the start, our server, Chuck, made us feel welcome. We mentioned a food allergy, and while he wanted to make sure he understood everything correctly, he quickly brought over his manager, Maria, to assist. Maria was incredibly thorough and went above and beyond, even showing me ingredient information to ensure everything was safe. That level of care and attention was greatly appreciated. For dinner, we ordered the Maryland crab soup, which was hearty, thick, and packed with flavor--not watered down at all. We also shared a side salad that was surprisingly huge and fresh. The crab cakes were outstanding, loaded with lump crab meat and served with delicious sides. We also tried the rockfish special, which was almost like a crab cake made with fish--unique, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert, but the desserts we saw being served to other tables looked amazing and definitely worth trying on a future visit. Both Chuck and Maria were attentive throughout our meal, and Chuck's friendly, kind personality made the experience even better. Excellent food, outstanding service, and great attention to customer needs. We will absolutely be back the next time we're in Baltimore!

We ordered the small raw seafood tower, the steamed seafood platter, and the lobster pasta from the large plates section. We are a family of four with a pretty big appetite, and it ended up being the perfect amount of food for us. Everything was delicious and incredibly fresh. The raw tower came with cocktail sauce, mignonette, horseradish, and lemon slices, and the steamed platter was served with melted butter and nicely seasoned spices. There was also hot sauce and Old Bay seasoning on the table so you could customize everything to your taste. Once the seafood arrived we got fully busy with our hands and all the tools provided, which honestly made the whole experience even more fun. I genuinely cannot pick a favorite because we enjoyed every single thing we ordered. I also tried the Orange Crush, which I learned is a Maryland vodka drink made with freshly crushed fruit juice. That drink was dangerous because it tasted just like orange juice, but the vodka definitely sneaks up on you. Since we were celebrating, dessert was on the house, which was such a thoughtful touch. We shared the cast iron baked cookie with salted caramel ice cream and it was the perfect ending to the meal. The cookie was crispy around the edges, soft and moist in the middle, and the slight saltiness from the ice cream paired so well with it. Our server, Lylah, was wonderful and made sure we always had everything we needed throughout the meal. This ended up being such a memorable dinner for our family. Highly recommend The Choptank for seafood, celebrations, and a fun dining experience in Baltimore.

The waitress made a bunch of mistakes that she never apologized for like not bringing a bottle of wine we ordered until an hour after we sat down, accidentally ordering an additional seafood platter and not removing it from the check, not including fries with a dish that came with them, then charging us extra for them when we asked her to please bring them. In total lunch took over 3 hours when it should have been half that at most. Good help is hard to find these days it seems.
