What a fun place in a more secluded area of Dunedin. This brewery is open for business during covid and they have plenty of outdoor seating. Came here for lunch and enjoyed very good German inspired hefeweizens. The bratwurst lunch was just OK, it is locally sourced but seemed like it was missing something. A pretty average dining experience. The wings were good in their crispness, but that's expected when the sauce is served on the side. The smash burger was pretty much as you would expect, I would have enjoyed it a bit more crispy, but a solid food nonetheless. The service was quite lacking with several servers looking at us and not approaching, and then when we finally did have one it was a long time between check ins. We didn't go inside this visit, but the outside is just open seating with a band in the "garage" area, again, just an unremarkable visit. Oh, the wheat beer was solid. Worth a try again. read more

I love Breweries. I've been to this one many times and never left a review. Shame on me! My wife and I ride our bicycles to Dunedin and do mini brewery tours every now and then. This one is usually one of the stops. Especially if you want to eat. The food here is really good and the beer is even better. On the last trip here we had the Nachos. They came out looking awesome and they tasted even better than they looked. They have indoor seating as well as a huge patio with plenty of picnic tables. Servers work the patio and bring you everything you need. This place also has live music on the weekends. Its a fantastic spot to have a few delicious beers, listen to a good live band, and drink some great beer. What more can you ask for? read more

We stopped into Dunedin Brewery on two separate occasions while we were staying nearby. This is Florida's oldest brewery, but it was only opened back in 1995. I only had one beer here each time since we wanted to go to another nearby brewery. If you aren't familiar with this city, they have a nice selection of spots to pick from. On our first visit to Dunedin Brewery we chatted with some friendly patrons who suggested other bars to us too. My personal favorite for beer is a Hefeweizen, but pretty much any wheat beer with a fruit flavor to it will excite me. The apricot peach flavored brew that I had here was quite delicious. I believe there were about 12 other beers to pick from, so a nice selection. They sell a small amount of merchandise inside, so I picked up a t-shirt as a souvenir of the fun times we had in this town. We had the dog with us so we sat outside on both trips. There are two separate patios, one to the right side of the building and another to the left. We did see people ordering food, but we didn't get any here. Man I love thos place. I have be coming here for years. If today was my first visit it would be my last. Ordered the wings, as I have before. They were way over cooked and took forever to get to the table. I was starving and ate a couple but then complained to the server. He insisted that that was how they were supposed to be. I explained that I have had them before and they were way over cooked. He insisted I was wrong and left the table. Call me crazy but if a customer isn't happy you don't tell them he is wrong. Originally, I hadn't intended on going to Dunedin to check out some breweries while in the Tampa-St. Petersburg area recently. However, being that we found ourselves in Clearwater on this particular Sunday, we realized we weren't as far from the town as I had anticipated. Therefore, we made our way to some of those breweries, starting with Dunedin Brewery. I wish I hadn't been hungover after the first two days of hitting breweries, as I was definitely taking it easy on the third day. But I liked visiting the oldest microbrewery in the state of Florida. I really enjoyed the ambiance of the taproom and production facility, as well as the good vibes from the beertenders and, most importantly, the beer. I went with a pint of the Biere de Cafe Brown Ale, which I tasted the bitterness of the coffee on the back, but also had a nice creaminess. I felt bad that I wasn't able to order more, but I was playing things cautiously as I was finally able to imbibe a little alcohol by the early afternoon when I was at Dunedin. My friends and I chilled there as we enjoyed our beers, while determining whether the weather would hold or start down-pouring. But Dunedin Brewery is a place I would return to again. Just from one of the beers I had, there's no doubt they can produce well-crafted beer. And maybe next time, I'll get to hear some live music from the cool stage and drum set up they have. Recently had dinner here, and was a long time customer. The food was mediocre at best, and overpriced, $18.00 for a small fish taco wrap and stale chips, served with what appeared to be old salsa. There was no wait service, but a 20% tip was suggested when it was time to pay. I've never had a bad meal there until now and have been a customer for the past 15+ years. I brought it to the attention of the manager, Mike, who I know as the owner's son. He was arrogant with me and suggested I wanted "golden gloves treatment" just because I know his parents. Dunedin has plenty of outdoor seating and brews to choose from. Their menu offerings are adequate but the food fell a little short. My burger was pretty thin and seriously overpowered by bun. Bread city. The beers I had (ipa and red ale) were really good and my service was great. There was no kids menu but I really can't complain about that because the little dudes found what they wanted to eat, albeit $6 more than they actually ate. read more

My mom was in town and I wanted to take her into Dunedin for the day. I decided bringing her to the Dunedin brewery would be a cool choice! There's plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor so we had our choice of spots. Since it was just 2 of us we chose a couple stools at their side bar. It took a while for someone to finally come over and ask if we needed anything to the point where I thought we had to go up to the bar to order. I ordered the Stones & Skins shandy and mom got a glass of Chardonnay (not a beer drinker). The drinks were great. It then took a while to place our food order. We decided to share the nachos, which then took longer to get to us. I noticed many tables around us getting much better service so I was starting to think it was where we sat, which shouldn't really matter. The nachos were okay. The real showstopper was the snakebite sauce on top. That was great and I would love a bottle for home. Moms highlight was getting a T-shirt from the brewery to remember her trip. Our big group grabbed an outside table since there was not much room inside - there was plenty of room outside given it was pretty darn cold for Florida. The waitress was a lot of fun and did a nice job keeping our group in-line. We ordered a couple of apps that were pretty good - the pretzel bites and the deep fried cheese curds. Many of us are from Wisconsin and we are cheese curd connoisseurs - these curds were pretty darn good. I ordered their wings with the sweet thai sauce and they were very tasty. Fantastic beer and food as well! I have been here before while in the area and chose to make this my first birthday stop while on a long day drinking excursion. The brewery is excellent and they have plenty of space to accommodate your party! There is indoor and outdoor seating, but the parking lot is tiny so be prepared to seek parking elsewhere. There are no TVs so I would not say this is the best venue for a sporting event...but any other time? Heck yeah! Great staff and a welcoming neighborly atmosphere. The beer selection has never displeased me! Always something for everyone. The core beers are solid and the seasonal selection is also great. Prices are extremely reasonable. This goes for the food as well! My friends and I had some of the shareables to start (cheese curds, wings, pretzel bites, tots, etc) and everything was served piping hot and delicious! This is apparently the oldest microbrewery in Florida. That's pretty cool. I thoroughly enjoyed the apricot/peach (?) ale. Yummy stuff, even though I generally do not choose fruit ales. It drinks mostly like a wheat beer and is oh so flavorful. Perfect afternoon drink. I was not overly impressed with the chips and salsa as it was a fairly small portion of chips served with a tiny condiment cup of salsa...they offered us more chips but not salsa. Took a nice bike ride to Dunedin Brewery on Christmas Eve and was so happy they were open and good. Didn't know what to expect, but wanted to give them a try. Popped in....got a table right away. Looking at menu, we wanted many different things....so we ordered them ha! The brewery itself is pretty fascinating and really does serve good bar good to compliment the beers there. Of course I had to order a few different apps to taste a few things. Pretzle bites, beer cheese wontons, wings, and the lava burger with Cole slaw. The Pretzle bites were so deliscious and buttery, with the slightest amount of salt. The the beer cheese wontons were crispy and cheesy. The wings were fall off the bone good and the lava burger was exactly what was hoped for. Nice, big, and juicy Staff was friendly and service was great. Used to love this place but not anymore. My beer and my wife's beer were just ok. Service was pretty awful considering it was just my wife and I in the Brewery at the time. The servers were just unfriendly overall. The wings used to be a lot better and their so called blue cheese was awful. It was very watered down and tasted nothing like blue cheese. ( in my wife's and my opinion) Don't know why they ever changed their blue cheese but it sucked and should be changed. Waited a while for our check to be brought to us even though we were sitting at the front bar.( there now were 2 other people inside.) I've got to say if we weren't using my wife's card to pay I wouldn't have left a tip for the terrible service, crappy beer and terrible, so called, blue cheese. I used to drive 50 minutes to come here just for the wings but it's not happening anytime soon as a result of my last visit. It's a shame because I used to visit frequently. read more

Came for a round stayed for the show Came for dinner on a Friday night around 6:30pm. There was limited parking in front, but found a parking garage across the street with plenty of parking. Walked into a hip atmosphere with bar and high top tables. Seating was limited due to the time we arrived. First come first serve, we sat ourselves and were immediately welcomed with a menu and drink order. Menu offering had a nice selection of appetizers, and entrees. We split the fried pickles and cheese curds. Both served hot and perfectly seasoned. For our main entrees we had the BBQ Pork and Brewery Wings. The pulled pork was a large portion of sweet bbq flavor on a toasted brioche. The wings were crispy with a mild dry rub seasoning. Their beer selection had options for every pallet from the lightest ale Celtic Golden Ale to their bold ale Sucré. Plenty of IPA's and other seasonals to taste and even more to come back for as their selection changes seasonally. At 9pm there was live music some tables in the center isle are moved prior to the performance. The band Ike's Stubblefield trio staring Ike Stubblefield was amazing! A great way to end the night. Why 5 stars? Because what could you possibly not like? --- --- --- In a really cool part of town? Check On the water? Check Excellent beer? Check Nomalicious food? Check Rad interior? Check Chill patrons and employees? Check Dunedin Brewery is odd for a Tamp-ite to experience. First of all, the city of Dunedin really flies under the radar in terms of being a hip place to go for someone in their 20's. When you're walking around Downtown Dunedin, you really don't feel like you're near the beach in Pinellas County, but rather in Seminole Heights of Hyde Park. The beer here is really great - I highly recommend ordering a mix-n-match paddle so that you can try a variety. Their Apricot Wheat is one of my favorite beers that I've ever had. But who knew the food was so great? We tried the Wisconsin cheese curds...and holy eff...those were as cheesy as the ones at the fair, but they didn't make you feel like you just drank a gallon of grease. I also had the chicken tenders, and they were not even remotely related to the dried & fried chicken that you'd find at a typical bar. All-around, this is one of my favorite new discoveries. I live no-where near Dunedin, but I will absolutely be back. They've made a fan and a disciple out of me. read more

Stopped here after a beach day for some socially distanced eats and wasn't disappointed. Most breweries in the area close pretty early on Sundays compared to the ones back home, and this was the last one open in the area at 7 so we didn't have much of a choice. However, it worked out pretty well. The wings and the smashburger were delicious, and the service was friendly. I tried the porter and the flashlight lager and both were solid, enjoyable brews. It was cool to see that Dunedin Brewery opened in the 90's, long before the craft beer craze. They're still going through the pandemic and I can see why. Florida's Oldest Craft Brewery! Was in town for 2015 Thanksgiving with my Fiancee's family and decided to do a little site seeing in this part of town that she had her college reunion in. She had mentioned i might like the bar scene here and I always up to checking out new places. Atmosphere: It's quite the laid back but also during special nights they have live music. If you're not into the live music and just want to chill and catch some sports on TV. Their little nook has a few tables, another bar with different beer taps, TV's, and a full menu you can order from. Beers: There was nice list of choices of beer. I thought there would be more because I saw on the website they listed some i didn't see in the main area. But i was informed that in "The Nook" there would be a few more to try out. 2015 Holiday Pharmhouse Ale: best holiday beer i've tried yet. great refreshing finish. Universal Fortuity: IPA. it was okay. compared to stone ipa, it was kinda watery Jackie Bones: pumpkin, good flavor. ok finish. Colossal Shred: very nice Belgium tripel at 9%. almost like the holiday pharmhouse but on the bitter sweeter side. Food: pretzels: a nice basket that could feed 3-4 people for $5. pretzels were nicely baked. soft buttery salty exterior. the dough was ok. went well with the side of mustard and a beer. Cheese curds: basket full of little baked soft buttery cheese curds. very addicting. great savory cheesy flavor that went great with beer. lots of other appetizers and entrees to choose from. check the website. Service: When we first came in we ordered at the main entrance. I wanted to try out a flight but one of the bartenders said it was only between a certain time and that had passed. i was okay with that. i just stuck to snifters. went into the nook. the guy with the dreads and glasses was very attentive. good service. we did come back and ended our night to meet a couple more friends at this brewery. i ordered my last drink and noticed one of my friends was able to get a flight of samples and this was around 11pm. was kinda disappointed i didn't get a flight to try out many beers. Overall: Great ambiance. Good beers. Delicious Food. Good service. Definitely a place to hangout and relax. I stopped in Dunedin Brewery on my last night in Clearwater Beach. It was about a 10 minute drive from my Hotel over to the brewery. I ended up tasting everything on the beer menu that night - so my flights equaled: Apricot Peach Ale (6.2% ABV) Pale Ale (6.0% ABV) American Classic IPA (7.0% ABV) Capsaicin VIII Morita Chili Pale Ale (6.0% ABV) Dram Alter Blonde Ale (6.2% ABV) Spatz Barleywine (9.0% ABV) Overall, I thought this lineup of brews was very average, but one stood out and was a rock star in my opinion - the Capsaicin VIII Morita Chili Pale Ale! It had good complexity and depth of flavor. The Chili was subtle and would hit you slowly in the back of your throat and a slow, comfortable burn would ensue! Loved this Ale ! The atmosphere was hip and inviting - and there was a band performing that night - I wish I knew there name! They were incredible! The music was entrancing! read more
