    Wings Wednesday

We left a restaurant close by that just didn't suit us and walked into this place where we felt right at home! The atmosphere was great and the food was even better. This time I got the honey chipotle bbq wings and they were cooked perfectly. The hubby and the oldest shared the St. Louis ribs and were fighting over them because they were so good. The youngest got the burger and although she's got braces she devoured hers. We even got dessert! Our server suggested the pineapple upside down cheesecake which wasn't even on the menu and it was good.

Excellent food and atmosphere, you can dine in or on their outdoor patio. Great bar area with multiple tv's for watching games including a huge outdoor tv screen. Menu has a southern vibe, ribs and sided are great! A must go to in Dunedin!!

The food was fantastic, service was splendid. The four of us ate outside. At the table we had a burger, rack of ribs, mac n cheese and cornbread along with fries and onion rings. Definitely will be back. Very good quality barbecue.

The fries and smoked turkey were so delicious from the Dunedin Smokehouse. Fun place to sit and watch some sports. Eating outside is also nice when the weather feels nice outside.

Buffalo chicken sandwich with no bun and Sweet Potato Fries

Oh my gosh this was an amazing meal!! I am a huge sweet potato connoisseur and these were the best I have ever had. I got the grilled buffalo chicken sandwich with no bun and the Parmesan peppercorn ranch was delicious. The brussel sprouts were also really good. Sweet and garlicky with bleu cheese. My party also got the jalapeño corn bread and were literally licking the plate. Even for a Sunday lunch it wasn't busy and our food came out quick. Will definitely be back to try more!

Smokehouse has become one of our favorite restaurants in Dunedin, FL. After moving here 4 years ago from Atlanta, it is has become our "Cheers". Great bar with multiple TVS's and huge outdoor area, the food is consistently good and service is friendly. They offer specials each week including new soups Matt the Executive Chef has created one of my all time favorites. This Guinness soup is nothing short of outstanding. From the first spoonful, you get a deep, rich flavor that clearly comes from a well-balanced, slow-simmered broth infused with the unmistakable malty depth of Guinness. It's hearty without being heavy, and every bite feels thoughtfully crafted.

Chicken wings, jalapeno corn bread, Queso with beef all excellent!

Always excellent food! This place is popping all the time! Many times they have live music as well. Servers are great. Know they get busy but they are great! The restaurant is typically clean even on the busiest of days. I love the smoked chicken wings! So good. The jalapeno corn bread is amazing and so is the Mac and cheese! So so good! There is not one thing that I have eaten from here that was not top notch! Great place to go with a great vibe!

This place is on the super cute Main St of Dunedin. It was good but lacks a little flavor in the meat, for the ribs. Side dishes were normal and good but nothing amazing. The sausage was a great addition. I would go again when in the area. Service was great. Server stayed on top of drinks while we dined outside.

The Porker Combo - brisket, ribs, pulled pork, beans, and potato salad

After a 2 and half hour round of disc golf in Clearwater, I was looking for 2 things out of a BBQ joint in the region: fresh-brewed sweet tea and if they were open on a Tuesday. After some investigation, Dunedin Smokehouse was the winner and it was a terrific find in a neighborhood with many other restaurants. I sat myself at the bar and was greeted by the bartender. I asked if she had fresh-brewed sweet tea and it did not fail as I gulped down 4 glasses of this sweet liquid gold. I went with the Porker Combo which is the 3 meat combo. I chose pulled pork and ribs and brisket for a $1.50 upcharge. I went with potato salad and beans for my sides. The ribs were amazing as they were St. Louis style, sticky, and the best part...I had to eat them with a fork! The pulled pork was tender and almost as good as the ribs. The pulled pork came with some kind of relish. The brisket was tender and better than many briskets I have had. The beans and potato salad were both made in house. The beans had a tomatoey smoky flavor. I never had a potato salad like this one! It was chunky with some kind of creamy conglomeration. I thought it was celery in it but turned out it was bell pepper, which was acceptable. There were 2 sauces on the table - a sweet sauce and an ancho mild pepper sauce. They also have other sauces you will have to ask for - a thick South Carolina Mustard that is close to a honey Mustard, a spicy ancho, and a White Alabama which was my favorite of the bunch. I will eat here again and you should too!

    Homemade Brisket Chili

We stopped in on a Saturday night and the only available table was on the patio, but that worked fine for us as it was a beautiful evening, and they had the heaters going, so it was great. Our server Adam, was there immediately, and we got in our drink orders. He came back quickly with those and we got in our food orders. The food came out quickly as well. I got the Brisket Sandwich - nicely smoke meat, with horseradish and a soft bun. I opted for the spicier sauce, and it came in a cup in my basket. The beans were also smoky, meaty, and tasty! My wife got the chili, which was pretty tasty. It wasn't a huge bowl, but was chunky with a bit of a zing. VERY dog friendly patio--many there the night we dined. Adam was fantastic-attentive, funny, and friendly. Solid good, great atmosphere, and fantastic service.

My Brother lives in St Pete and takes our Mom to eat there or calls in for take-out at least 2-3 times per month. We arrived tonight (Thursday) around 7:45 PM to bypass the dinner rush. Walking in to be seated, I noticed several empty tables that had not yet been cleared with several people waiting outside to be seated. I was told "there will be at least a 10-15 minute wait, to give my name, and to wait outside." I thought maybe there were enough people waiting already to take up the empty tables, but that wasn't the case. We sat outside in the cold waiting and watching the guy stand at the bar doing nothing to help bus the empty tables, some of which were right by the window. After 15 minutes or more, we were finally called in last walking by the same uncleared tables, led to another table as the table cloth was being placed on it, no menus, no apology for the extra long (unnecessary) wait outside in the cold. When we finally placed our order, we waited some more. Finally our server said "there was a mix up and our order had not gone through." When Mom's favorite seared salmon finally arrived, it was dry and overcooked. I have never written a bad review on Yelp in my life. But, I hated to see my precious Mom & Brother treated this way. Loyal customers should not be taken for granted.

The cheesesteak: wonderful. Less cheesy than our other spot. The roll (they ship them in from Philly) was my favorite part! Fries were great! Service: awesome. The woman ringing us up heard us say we were going to share a large one so she suggested we could each order our half our own way. They have an abundance of topping options. She then came and checked on us later as we ate as well. Ambience: lots to look at here. A ton of sports and Philadelphia-related memorabilia. It's a retro, super casual atmosphere. Bustling. I like that sort of place. Overall, I think we will still have our original favorite more often, mostly because it is within walking distance. The order of fries we had no problem with. My dissatisfaction came with both cheese steaks. The rolls used were terrible. I couldn't eat my cheese steak sandwich. The roll was of inferior quality. Something you might expect at a Winn Dixie. I noticed the lowest grade bread before I took my first bite. It was not the authentic philly roll I've had on my cheesesteaks for 20 years st Delcos. Would have been great had Delcos advises me they changed to a substandard bland roll of cheap bread. I understand why they didn't have the balls to disclose this. I for one would of told them I'm taking my business elsewhere. How could you do this Delcos? Charge me an extra buck if you had to and provide me what I thought I was purchasing. The amount of 'meat' was still generous. Cheese and toppings you didn't gip me on. These issues don't mean jack with out the authentic rolls. As I said, charge me an extra buck for the authentic rolls. I wouldn't have complained!! I used to always come to you for your authenticity. We just cane home from Arbys. Trying their knew cheesesteak with Cooper chease. Anyone from up in Pennsylvania knows Cooper cheese. Too bad they didn't use amoresso rolls. It was still better than Delcos new version going with a poor man's roll. It doesn't feel right I'm slamming my favorite place for cheesesteaks. The people and service was stiil A1. I never went back again out of fear of getting disappointed once again. I'm not one to let anyone, or a business fk me twice so I'm not going back unless I get an explanation, and they went back to the real cheesesteak rolls. I'm even willing to reevaluate and change this review. Until then, I'm exercising my right to choose another place, just like Delcos used inferior rolls and kept their mouths shut to increase sales. Delcos as far as I'm concerned right now, you did me dirty.
