We grabbed hot drinks on a cold night at this DD after visiting the nearby Lyons VA Medical Center. Apparently, there are three other DDs in town, but this one was the only one open that night. It worked out fine because this is a nice DD store location. The inside looks bright and was clean, the staff that evening were friendly to us, and our drinks were well made. My husband will stop in here occasionally and bring some donuts home. We have no issues with the quality of the donuts and never get anything else. He got me a coffee roll for Valentine's Day this year, which I haven't had in at least 20 years!! I was shocked at the size of this thing! It was HUGE!!! We split it between the three of us and still didn't finish it. It was laughable! Dunkin doesn't offer the variety it used to. My husband likes their apple fritters, but they are unavailable at this location or in the Stirling location. I remember that in the '70s, my friend had a job making donuts at Dunkin in Flemington, NJ, and we could watch him mixing and baking through a large window; now, you never see that. Every time I go to this Dunkin my coffee looks like this. Would it pain someone to mix the coffee. Anyway, I ordered a large cold brew at the drive thru and was given a medium. Explained to the girl at the window that it was supposed to be a large. Told me it was rung up as a medium and I couldn't be given a large. Amazing customer service, but whatever, told her I would pay for a large. I came in for a cup of what I thought would be a cup of fresh dark roast coffee and a Boston cream donut... That's my standard at all DD's. I was given a cup of lukewarm dark roast coffee.. I went up to the counter and told the server my coffee was cold.. I had to wait for him to brew a whole new fresh pot. That took another 15 minutes... U mean to tell me they only brew 1 pot at a time? This is why people come to DD. There was another server making food orders. He would yell out the order. The problem is he barely spoke English...People waiting for their orders couldn't understand him at all...I was being asked what he said and had to relay orders while I was waiting for a cup of hot coffee... Stopped in here yesterday before heading over to O2 Sports...we needed a little caffeine pick-me-up. As I've said before, all I want from Dunkin Donuts is consistency. I walk into a DD in Parsippany or Middlesex or Basking Ridge or Miami for that matter, the coffee should taste the same, the donuts should taste the same, and the service should be simple, fast and with a smile. Unfortunately, this DD in Basking Ridge didn't meet that criteria. The line was about 10 deep when I walked in the door and I quickly realized why...slow service. When I finally got to the front of the line I ordered two iced coffees (hazelnut and butter pecan), two vanilla bean Cooladas, and a donut for the kids to split. After a few minutes I got two coffees with nothing written on them distinguishing which was which...then I stood there. I asked again for the donut and got it this time....then I stood there, and stood there as to people behind me got their orders. With the cashier standing there helping others and giving me odd looks one of the other workers asked what I was waiting for... "Two vanilla bean Cooladas. " "Oh yeah, sorry there was an emergency" "Yeah, ok. " I wasn't going to argue with her and have her make me a vanilla bean and loogie Coolada so I let it go...all the while thinking, 'umm, I'm standing RIGHT HERE, there was no damn emergency'. Anyway, slow service, my Butter Pecan iced coffee didn't taste anything like the one's I've had over the past couple weeks (probably less flavoring syrup), and an attitude from the workers. Oh, and the garbage was literally coming out the top next to where you picked up the straws and sweeteners by the door. I'm sorry, but if you don't want to do your job then go work somewhere else. Oh my goodness. When you walk into a Dunkin despite mostly bad reviews you hope that perhaps things have changed a tad. Customer service was subpar and my pumpkin spice latte (don't make fun) was more pumpkin than coffee. But you know what? I like that. Give me all the flavoring you have. I can handle it. They have adorable decorations up for Halloween and looking at past photos, it seems that they always decorate for holidays. And I think that's something special. read more

This place has really gone down hill the past year since a former manager left the store for another location. Store opens at 5 AM but there is only one person doing the entire store opening and sometimes it does get busy. The employee gets overwhelmed and falls behind with no one else around to help him. I was running late for work this morning so I decided to place an online order hoping to beat any potential line which at 530 AM is hit or miss. I arrived at the store about 10 minutes after placing the order and the one guy was there by himself again, overwhelmed with 3 people in line and couldn't keep up. I waited another 5 minutes and the employee still hadn't even started my order so I just left the store in frustration because I didn't want to be late for work. I've never had any issues here with the afternoon crew so if you come in later you should be fine. Early AM though I'm going to start using the Lyons Mall DD just because I'm hard pressed for time. read more

The morning employees are wonderful. The nighttime employees are awful. They are always out of the drink I order and claim "the people who know how to make it aren't there". They close early (I'm writing this review sitting outside of locked doors at 7:30pm when they are supposed to close at 8. Really disappointing because we used to love the night staff as well. No good. I love Dunkin' Donuts but this one doesn't have good customer service and seems to be very stingy. I came in with my personal cup to get a refill in order to not have to get another plastic cup since I am on a road trip and just had the same drink 30 minutes earlier. They looked at me strange and said we don't do that and she says we'll just give you a new one. First off, I didn't ask for that refills are 99 cents and also environmentally friendly. It is dunkin policy to do that. Customer service also has a very flat affect and didn't seem friendly. This place is nice, clean and very open. The issue is the staff is inept. They have the hardest time with the simplest order. The issue honestly is the cashiers. The other staff are working hard while the two in the front have no idea what they are doing. Stopped in ordered a dozen donuts and 2 coffees. Worst customer service ever rude won't take your order must use kiosk. They don't update kiosk so if donuts available are not on kiosk you have to argue to get what you want. Saw 4 employees not doing anything acted like I put them out so just left will not go to any dunkn again. Never had any issue at Hortons or other places. read more

Went in for a quick iced coffee run, I'm not very picky but I couldn't drink the coffee I was given. Not sure if it was the oat milk or vanilla shot, but there was a distinct chemically taste that both my mom and I found disgusting. Maybe just a mix up but I was disappointed. This location has horrible service. I walked out after standing at the counter waiting to make a purchase for several minutes with no acknowledgment to either me or the individuals behind me in line. There were approximately 5-6 workers at the time ignoring the people in the lobby. Had they at least stated "be with you in a moment " this would not be an issue. Will not go here again. read more

I'm a local who works at a nearby large company. I went into this Dunkin donuts at 9 AM on a Wednesday . I ordered a box of Joe, a dozen donuts, and six bagels for small group of people at work. There was a lady at the register with dark hair, and another woman wearing glasses working the line at the back. I was in a rush...didn't notice that the woman at the register charged me for two boxes of Joe, which are about $16 apiece. When I got back to work and looked at the receipt, that's when I noticed. Because I was offsite on Thursday, I wasn't able to get back to Dunkin' Donuts until two days later on Friday. On the Friday morning, I returned to this DD to get a $16 refund on the second Box of Joe. The woman with glasses was working there on Friday but I didnt see the woman at the register who overcharged me. I told the manager that there were two women working at the store on Weds AM, and that the dark-haired one overcharged me for a second box of Joe. I also suggested to him that the woman with glasses would probably remember me since I had to wait for the box of Joe and I was in a hurry. Unbelievably, the manager acted like I was lying. He told me no other woman worked at the store! They embarrassed me in front of other customers, treating me like a liar or a crazy person. No, he repeated , no other woman works at the store. The woman wearing glasses, who prepared my order, acted blank-faced, she didnt remember me from 2 days ago...all six feet and 279 lbs of me! I gave them my receipt but had to continue to argue with the manager that I was not imagining the woman who waited on me...she was of Indian descent, maybe, with an accent and dark hair. But I had that reciept. I finally got my refund. On my way out, the manager called after me, and said, "That woman ... is not Indian!" Thanks, guy. I thought she didn't exist? It must be done... I am downgrading this place to 1-star. Believe me when I tell you that something has definitely changed here in the past couple of months. Every time you come here now, the line extends to the door and it takes equally as long to get your order. The cashier rings you up and then no one does anything. It's amazing - there are just people waiting around. It makes no sense. Also, this used to be one of the cleanest Dunkin Donuts I have ever been to, but that's certainly not the case anymore. I know it's tough to keep a place like this clean with so many people coming in and out of but they used to do a phenomenal job. Times have changed. I will probably still come here from time to time based on pure convenience, but I may start taking the extra 2 mile trip to another DD by me. I agree with Domenic's staff comment. I had similar issues with employees getting my orders wrong one too many times. There is one or two that are pretty good, but for the most part, the only thing worse than the staff is the increased prices at this location. I experienced this increase in pricing a while back. It felt that every time I went in, the price was increased to the point where one of the employees said to me "this is the last increase". At that point, I said to myself, "this is my last time coming here". And it's been since then that I have not returned after going there at least twice a week for over 2 years. One of the cleanest DD's around. Staff are usually prompt and friendly as well. In 6 years I have never had any problems or issues at this location. Sometimes in the early AM, the line can be long, but that is to be expected. As most all DD's the fare and the coffee are great. Consistency is the word. read more
