Last night I placed an order in the Dunkin app that allowed me to schedule to pick up my order this morning at 615. I was ordering donuts for my staff today for Valentine's Day and excited to come pick them up. However, when I arrived there was no order ready for me and I was informed that if I did it through the app yesterday, then there would be no order. There was no apology. There was no offer to refund my money at first and then I was told if I showed proof that I was charged I would get a refund right there. When I showed the charge on my credit card app the manager said "I never said that." There was only the repeated statements that if I ordered through the app I would not get my order. Apparently this is a known problem with the app, that happens "all the time" and yet this manager named Sylvia also indicated that she had not reported it to corporate. I would like to take this opportunity to report this to you as I will never frequent this establishment again. I used to frequent this store often for large purchase for my team of 50 (including yesterday for my araleigh team). The service has never been stellar, but this takes the cake. At least i was able to pivot to a local business (Shout out to Brandwein's Bagels) where i spent twice as much, received top-notch cutomer service, and was in and out in under 5 minutes. Save yourself the headache! People are unfriendly, unsmiling, short and just plain dull. The music is so loud they yell over the music. You can't hear yourself think. We had to ask someone to wipe a table down. Which one? All of them really ut at least one was needed. The womans bathroom toilet doesn't even have a top to water tank on it. There is a note to lift the handle up after flushing....good grief The toilet itself was clean. There's that anyway Selling girl scout cookies only added to the chaos in the parking lot. I get if customers don't wear masks, but employees serving donuts should wear masks. The guy at the register had his under his chin as he takes orders and picks donuts for people. I also saw the woman with red braids eating food on the left by the window and she was literally licking her fingers after her bites. It was disgusting I'm telling you! No complaints otherwise but the employees' disregard for basic restaurant sanitation during a pandemic is pretty obnoxious. The worst place! The staff was extremely rude the food is cold even after having it attempted to be fixed three times and waiting on it for 20 minutes. Management sucks, offered no solution or even apologized for all the mistakes that had occurred! I've held off reviewing and made a few visits over a few months to fully form my opinion. I am always incredibly disappointed in this Dunkin Donuts. Cleanliness is very hit or miss, employee friendliness is hit or miss although nobody has ever been directly rude. I've ordered hot and iced beverages with mediocre results. I think today is the last straw. My medium latte, half the cup is foam. They gave me the wrong donut. They were very busy, long line etc. so I didn't complain or ask them to correct my order. This is the nastiest Dunkin' I have ever been to. The staff is untrained and doesn't get a damn. The brain dead young man arhat took my order took my money and with the same hand that took my cash grabbed my doughnut. I got my coffee and threw my doughnut away. When I come here 3x a week for frozen coffee to get me through the day and they "don't have that today" it starts to really get to me. I understand that I'm probably one of the only customers that orders this but after I make the drive to get it just to be told they don't have it I start to get really annoyed. It's a toss up if they have it or not-sometimes they won't for two days, then they will for one, then won't have it the next day....like just make it part of your opening routine to set up the machine. Not to mention multiple workers have laughed at me when they see me come in because they know what I'll be ordering and they know they didn't take the time to set up the machine. During peak covid, workers without masks. No gloves. I've seen a worker come back after a smoke break without washing their hands and immediately going back to work. Tried curbside once and no one ever came out despite tapping we were there and calling the store to let them know and ask if we were doing anything wrong on our end on the app. Had orders not include my donuts. And I know this is stupid but everyone back their looks so miserable, and as someone in food industry I get it. I'm always miserable, but at least I greet the customers or try to flash a smile and not be totally distant. Walked in and waited for what seemed like forever. Noticed an employee in the lobby talking to a customer. He obviously knew we had just come in because we passed him walking in. This is the worst Dunkin Donuts I have ever been to. We ordered 10 boxes days in advance, and were only given 3. They were entirely unreachable by phone even after calling for 30 minutes. They also didn't give us the correct number of boxes of coffee or enough creamer. We ended up running out of donuts much before we were supposed to because we were supposed to have 84 more donuts than we received. I used to go to this Dunkin often due to its convenient location by UNC's campus; however, I will not be returning after the experience I had tonight. I arrived in store at approx. 8:45 PM and the employees were already cleaning up and closing down shop despite them "being open until 10." Regardless, I tried my luck. Waited 5 mins at the counter before someone finally asked me what I wanted. Tried to order a medium frozen coffee and was told that I couldn't have one because she had already cleaned the machine... over an hour before closing. She was quick to tell me that I could wait 15 mins for one since the bleach she had cleaned with should be gone and safe by then. I agreed and went to sit down. While sitting, I watched the same woman and her associate continue to clean (mopping AROUND the customers, turning off the lights while the customers were still present and working, and even both leaving for a smoke break and leaving the store unattended with customers present). I was there for an hour at this point and still hadn't received my drink. I eventually had enough and left. On my way home, I called the store and spoke with the same woman before about the issues I saw. Apparently, there was a miscommunication because I thought she would notify when the drink was ready vs. she thought I would just come to the counter again. Honest mistake. HOWEVER, when discussing this with her, she cut me off TWICE and proceeded to give me a heinous attitude. I regret not asking her name. I wish I could rate leas than 1 Star. We went there a month ago to order donuts for a wedding, we said what donuts we wanted and how many of each, so they would have those that day. We paid and gave the name of the person that would pick them up. We called a week before the wedding to make sure they remembered and they had the order. When the day of the wedding arrived, the person that went to pick them up, went there and they had no idea of the order, where the order was, what and how many we had ordered of which. Had one of the worst Dunkin experiences at this Dunkin this morning. It was so bad and handled so poorly that I do not even want to frequent Dunkin again... Starbucks may have gained a new customer today. I ordered a curbside order of coffee, a breakfast sandwich, and hash browns. My coffee came out first amongst a bunch of other people's coffees. When the employee came up to my car, one of the coffees fell out of her hand and spilled coffee into my window and down the side of my car. I wouldn't have minded-- people make mistakes-- but she did not even apologize! Just simply said "oops." I wiped it down with wipes I had and got over it quickly. Then 15 minutes passes and I have yet to receive my food. Other cars have pulled in, gotten their food, and then left. I ask the same employee if there is an issue with the order because I have yet to receive the food. She said she is running in to grab it and will bring it out. Another 15 minutes passes and she comes out, empty handed, telling me that they do not have any croissants. I am okay with that and say ill just have a regular bagel for my sandwich instead. Then, another 15 minutes passes and she comes out with my food, but explains that the ticket did not print and that is why it took so long. Then she quickly walks away. I look in my bag AND THEY FORGOT MY HASHBROWNS. At this point I do not even want to go in and get them, but I do. If it were not for the nice gentleman at the counter who helped me quickly, I would have asked for a refund. Though the lady employee who I was dealing with previously had an attitude and asked why I was there. The kind gentleman explained to her what happened and, again, she did not apologize. I don't understand why it is impossible to have a pleasant experience at any of the Dublin's in this area. I've been going to both this location and the location on 54 for two years. There are never any properly trained staff members. Every time I order a cold brew it's as though I'm speaking a different language. No one knows how to reload a gift card and my visit today at the Franklin location was ridiculous. After walking in, there were two clearly untrained staff members and two women on the drink station that had the worst attitude I've ever experienced in a restaurant setting. After 5 minutes of trying to load a gift card, they finally figured it out and then gave an attitude about ordering my drink. Then when she brought back the drink incorrectly made, she snatched the drink back and then aggressively placed it in front of me. 1) the coffee is never consistent. Some days it tastes like the bottom of an ashtray and other days it tastes like coffee flavored water. Best D&D coffee is by Duke hospital. 2) The place is often dirty and the counters are not wiped from what looks like day long dried spills. 3) How does it pass inspection? Staff play and toss their hair around the food often. 4) The owner or manager came in with friends and hung out. She let her preteen, maybe 11 or 12 yr old, daughter make her own drink and her friend's drink behind the counter. No one supervised the kid. The kid put whipped cream on her drink; looked around to see if anyone was watching ; squeezes whipped cream directly into her mouth and then licks the nozzle. 5) Tonight the cashier drops a good portion of my coffee and leaves the spill next to the register. She then fills my box of donuts and places it on the spill. I had to wipe it down because it was dripping. It's like she was sleeping or in another world. 6) I have gone there 5 times now hoping it would be better. It's not. So I will not go to this one anymore. 7) 2 stars because the crullers are the best anywhere. read more
