Dunkin' Donuts on Battlefield in Chesapeake VA

Smaller Dunkin' which would be awesome for a drive-though but it is walk-in only. They have the full menu but not much parking or much seating. (They also have Baskin Robbins ice cream here.) I stopped in for a coffee to go and it was the usual quality. Served very quickly and friendly. This location is A-OK. [Review 10869 overall, 640 of 2019.]

Dunkin Donuts is an American multinational coffee/donut company. Came here with the little one and bought 10 munchkins, the variety pack which included 2 of each flavors... Glazed, Glazed Chocolate, Jelly, Powdered Sugar, and Blueberry Glaze.  As she was biting into it, I noticed she kept putting some aside and trying the other flavors. So of course, I went ahead and ate the rest of the ones she bit off of... and man oh man, super dry and hard. (I almost choked on one, but thankfully I asked for a cup of water to help me wash it down.) The only ones that were pretty good were the glazed chocolate and the blueberry glazed. Then I asked a staff if it was possible to switch the rest we had for the chocolate ones, and the young lady was kind enough to do that for us. Pros: Nice Staff and Clean Restroom. Cons: The Munchkin Donuts weren't fresh. (Around 2 p.m) Definitely ask when the last batch came out or at least how long they've been sitting out. (Or go to Krispy Kreme, oops)

    K-cups on hand.

I like this store. The employees are really friendly and the store is well stocked and very clean. They have cakes, ice cream, coffee in the raw and of course donuts! Quick fast service gets you going in the morning.

They look ok but they are hard like day old donuts

Don't even bother stopping! I drove to this DD because I like the ones in my area they offer regular glazed munchkins. My kids like chocolate, blueberry, jelly filled and regular glazed (which can be hard to find) I took my 2 year old in and let him pick a donut. I got a vanilla cream and 50 munchkins to take home to the rest of the kids. The vanilla cream had the smallest amount of cream in it. Like a tiny little sliver...maybe a teaspoon! So I asked and I was told that it is the correct amount (I got my son one the other day that had so much he couldn't eat it and usually I have to throw some away lol) so when I looked at her a little sideways she made me a new one. Still not close to enough and totally caked in powder so that just taking it out of the bag it covered my clothes and forced me to walk around all morning covered in smeared white powder Sooo after school my girls came home and grabbed a munchkin and both said ewww these are old mom. I said "no I just bought them 3 hours ago" I got a glazed and they were right!!! Hard! At lease a day old hard!!! Gross. And it should be noted my kids will eat them 1 day old but these were hard and very stale! Total waste of money. I should call corporate it was that bad!!!!! Wasted $15 never again. Go anywhere else!!!

I got to this location multiple times through out the month. The staff is always friendly and I love all the flavors they have to offer. My favorite is the seasonal maple pecan coffee. There is occasionally a wait in line but it's expected at a coffee shop in the morning. The prices are affordable and there is always some one to greet when you come in.

Slow in the morning which can be frustrating. Food and drinks are always on point as far as taste goes.

My husband and I are regulars at Big Ugly but I've never taken the opportunity to try Taxus Street until this week. I tried to come on Monday and quickly learned they were closed, so returned the following day. They operate inside the brewery and have a nice setup in the corner. There is lots of seating - bars and high tops - and it's a great spot for a morning gathering. There was a meeting in the upstairs loft happening during my visit. The barista who assisted me was working solo. She was super friendly and happy to answer my questions. I was glad to hear they offer decaf espresso. I opted to try one of their seasonal lattes - the Mounds Bar latte with almond milk, mocha and coconut cold foam. It took only a few minutes for my order to be prepared. I did find the drink to be slightly sweet for my taste and would ask for half sweet on my next visit. For the lactose intolerant, they have almond and oat milk options. They also have several pastries and some hot food options to choose from like overnight oats and breakfast burritos from Burrito Perdido. I was really pleased with my recent visit and I'll be happy to come back soon!

It has a very clean minimal decor vibe but is still very welcoming and comfortable. There are large tables, sofas, a nice bar and arm chairs to gather in and the music is loud enough to mute conversations but not so loud as to disturb the vibe. The menu is simple. Coffees, teas seasonal drinks, sandwiches and pastries. My husband and I were taking a quick break from. Hopping and decided on drinks and a pastry. We ordered the grinch matcha latte, a gingerbread latte and a spinach feta pastry. Omg both of us loved the grinch. I've been searching for a matcha I could enjoy and this is it! All the right notes: not too sweet, creamy and the matcha well blended in the milk-think no grainy residue at the end. If I'm in the matcha mood I'm coming to get this. The grinch was so good I think it made the gingerbread latte less exciting but it was still delicious! The expresso was strong so for a non Coffee drinker like me it wasn't my favorite but my husband thought it was great. The pastry came out hot and was delicious. Everything came out fairly fast so even with the crowd we were there less than 30 minutes. I want to come back and try more drinks and a salad that seems up my alley. Please check out this locals establishment. You won't be disappointed!!

There's barstool seating at the countertop facing the grill and a few chairs at a carved wooden tabletop facing the large window. RoJo Coffee also has some outdoor seating options under a large tree. The menu is very impressive with specialty lattes and teas, and energy drinks, too. The breakfast and lunch menu offers a variety that's sure to please everyone's taste buds. I truly enjoyed the Belgian Waffle that comes with their house made mixed berry compote and powdered sugar, along with pure maple syrup, and house whipped cream. I liked how the chilled compote, syrup, and whipped cream were served in separate containers so that I could dip! Nice touch! The Belgian Waffle was fluffy and tasty! I also enjoyed my choice of The Lola (White Snickerdoodle Latte) specialty latte with oak milk (extra charge) that features white mocha, cinnamon & vanilla. My husband really liked his order of the Breakfast Burrito with bacon, noting how tasty their house salsa was. His specialty latte was The Moose which is their honey roasted peanut latte (toasted marshmallow, peanut butter & honey). Our orders were taken by the mother of one of the owners. She was very friendly and pleasant, telling us to take our time looking over the menu. She pointed out the month of May specials, and you could tell how happy she was to support this small business. We're thankful to have such a wonderful breakfast and lunch option with specialty beverages on the south side of the Great Bridge Locks. IYKYK

A total nightmare to get to for logistically, but totally worth the hassle and the drive. This place is tiny so we lucked out getting seats. There are a few seats on a low top bar facing the street and a few more high top bar seats facing the kitchen. Not ideal for socializing, but we made it work, I found this place to be extremely kid-friendly even though it isn't necessarily catering towards kids. Tons of great food options - highlights being the strawberry french toast and the chicken bacon ranch wrap. Pretty sure these are both specials for February, but gosh they should keep them year-round. The gentleman cooking was great - from food to service. My coffee was good. Not superb, but hit the spot. My biggest wish for coffee shops is always homemade syrups but at least they use Monin. Overall, great experience and will definitely be back next time I stumble upon the area.

I love their options of drinks an biscuits, I've especially been craving their bacon and cheddar biscuit since I've last had it, and it's nice to go to a cafe that dos things a little differently than the standard! One thing I also adore about this location is how they will host small markets on the lawn outside the house! One time me and my friend finished chatting and having coffee and we unknowingly walked outside to see a bunch of vendors that weren't there before! It was so fun to walk around and speak with everyone, they were all so sweet and I ended up buying multiple things unplanned! I will say it can be a tight squeeze between the doorway and the counter when ordering as the hallway is small and the line can grow rapidly. But if it's not cold outside or busy there then it's not really an issue at all! I'm sad that they aren't open past 1-2PM most days, but that's understandable given the business they run and thier location!
