My bacon/egg/cheese croissant with oat milk iced latte
    Courtney S.

I promise every effing Dunkin Donuts in STL has been on some major BS lately. The drive thru line was long as hell so I used the app to do a drive thru mobile order. I get up to the speaker and tell them I have a mobile order. I ordered a medium iced latte with oatmilk and a bacon/egg/cheese croissant. Speaker Clerk: We are sorry. We are unable to fill your order Me: *having prior bad experiences with shortage of sandwiches at the other DD locations* Why, is it the sandwich???" SC: Yeah Me: Could I just get some other sandwich or hot food because the app already took my funds and assumed you all had the food. SC: We don't have no hot food. We can refund you? Me: *deep breaths* OK let me just get my coffee then. SC: *manager takes the mic from timid person* Ma'am our sandwich station is down and we are extremely behind in hot food orders because everything is frozen. Me: OK well I'd still like to have my coffee and just be refunded for the sandwich Manager: Well you'd need to take that up with however way you ordered the food. Me: It was from the DUNKIN DONUTS app. How is it supposed to know you all don't have hot food or my order basically? Why couldn't I just be refunded? Manager: Pull up to the window so we can talk Me: OK *pulls up to window eventually* Window Clerk: 5 minis and a hot coffee? Me: No. Apparently an order you all can't fulfill WC: Huh? Me: I have a mobile order that... Manager: You're the one with the hot sandwich? See, I just wanted to make sure your sandwich was cooked all the way through. *hands WC a box with my sandwich* WC: *hands me the box and then a tall cup of hot coffee* Here you go, suga' Me: Thanks *as I take the items with my foot already on accelerator* So, I didn't even order a hot coffee but that's okay, I'll go home and add some HWC to it and ice. I open the box and it's a sourdough bacon egg and cheese sandwich. I've had so many "annoying experiences" at this location and the one on Hanley that at this point I'm not returning to them as a customer. This is getting too crazy now. The pandemic is not an excuse. Piss poor management is! Definitely taking this up the chain like it'd matter from reading all of the other reviews. I've NEVER had such crap service at DD in other cities. Just my own. SMH

Really doesn't need an explanation. If you're wondering why the cold brew is lacking flavor, this is why.

Every time I try and go to Dunkin at this location, it always disappoints. Their cold brew is watered down. It appears they are using 1 cup of beans for every 10 cups of water to make water with the essence of coffee. Iced coffee MAY be the only safe choice. Maybe. I won't revisit to try.

This is the second time within the past year I have gone to this Dunkin' location and have received a hair in my drink. The first time I was halfway done with my drink when I realized there was a hair. Today, I checked my coffee on my way to work to see if it was all good. Nope!!!! Another hair in my drink. Avoid this location.

Traffic has been miserable lately and I was passing through Kirkwood on my way from Chesterfield to IL due to my GPS on this day. I decided to bring donuts to work for my crew. I went through the drive thru and got a dozen assorted donuts and 2 bacon egg and cheese wake up wraps for myself. These wraps are always hot and fresh and the tortilla gets a bit crispy which I like. Also it's a better alternative to a biscuit or bagel breakfast sandwich because I attempt to avoid breads as much as possible. Drive thru service was friendly and speedy. I will be back!

What a great place. Beautifully made donuts and really excellent service. They were extremely busy this morning but the service inside was spot on. Justine who was at the register was polite, professional and very patient!! She greeted every customer with a smile. The entire crew was working really well together and were highly effective at communicating with one another and helping each other out. A very pleasant experience!!! On another note, Dunkin Donuts was in St. Louis when I was kid then left....do not new to most people in STL.

    Munchkins!

Not sure what is going on at this location? I used to really enjoy the coffee and munchkin donuts. The last three times I have been here, the coffee was watery with a bad aftertaste. I ask for cream, but due to the coffee being so watery it tastes like all creamer and little coffee. The coffee tasted so awful, I poured it out each time. The munchkins have gone down hill! They are barely dotted with glaze and are dry and tasteless. They used to be delicious, dense and moist. I usually love Dunkin Donuts coffee and munchkins. The one positive is the service is generally good and the drive thru workers seem very friendly and cheery. I hate to say it, but I won't be back.

No donuts whatsoever at 10AM on a Wednesday. No explanation, just "Our Dunkin Donuts doesn't have any donuts." It was actually pretty funny.

When will the Kirkwood location resume serving food? The past 3 times [after waiting 15 min in drive thru] I've tried to order food [bagel sandwich, etc] and am told [after ordering/at window to pay] that they only serve coffee & donuts.

One side is Jimmy John's. With the back being Donut Palace. The parking lot is large. The windows were tinted with two doors that had open signs, we weren't sure which one to go in and chose the one on the left. It could get really awkward with two customers walking in from each door at the same time. The left side door felt a little further away from the counter. Inside was super clean and had a cute area for eating in. New location growing pains with the staff not knowing what some of the donuts were. Seemed like the operation was the people behind the counter helped and then a guy at the register rang up. It was fine but felt lackluster. After we made our selection of a dozen with one of those being the massive Apple fritter. The total for the dozen was $28 and seemed excessive even with the massive fritter. When we ate them they were ok. They were a good size but just weren't my cup of tea in taste or price.

But my mom bought us some donuts from Olde Towne Donuts. I had a bite of a chocolate cake donut and it tasted fine. However, after eating a chocolate Long John, my 15 year old son informed me that he needed his rescue inhaler and some Benadryl pills, because he was having an allergic reaction. We didn't eat anything unusual for dinner. And the donut was the only other thing he ate. When I called the shop to ask if they use any kind of soy protein or pea protein in the ingredients- sure enough, they do. Before calling, I had searched on their facebook page a little to find out it if they had some special feature to their donuts- like "healthier" because of added protein, but I didn't see any mention of ingredients. When I called to ask, the girl who I initially asked wasn't sure what kind of ingredients they used, so I guess a head baker or owner got on the phone and confirmed that they used soy protein in their donuts. I'm not mad- thankfully my son was pretty quick to recognize it and was home where we were able to give him what he needed right away. Still, I caution not only customers with allergies or sensitivities, but I also have a strong word of advice to the owners: if you don't already have notices of this added protein ingredient posted in the store clearly as a warning, as well as on your website/ social media pages, I urge you to do so. It could seriously be a matter of life or death. My son has what people typically refer to as a "peanut allergy"; people who truly have that allergy are not allergic to nuts (I suppose someone could also have a nut allergy on top of it), but they are allergic to much more than just peanuts; it is a legume allergy. Legumes are plant foods formed inside pods, like beans, peas, and pea"nuts". Nowadays, there are so many unexpected foods that can cause an anaphylactic reaction for people with a legume allergy, because so many processed foods have protein as a filler (like highly processed frozen chicken nuggets). And now manufacturers are proud to boast their food item has "added protein". It is the legume protein that causes the severe allergic reaction, known as anaphylaxis. Which can often occur immediately upon ingesting the allergen and the life threatening symptoms can progress in just a matter of minutes. Thankfully, my son's reaction is not immediate- he usually has at least 30min before it becomes serious requiring immediate intervention, and lately he's been able to curb it by taking Benadryl, but he has had many ER visits and epinephrine as a young child. I have often been warned and urged by nurses and doctors not to take the risk of waiting, but to use the EpiPen injector and call 911 as soon as it is realized that ingested an allergen- even before symptoms- or as soon as he has symptoms -even if he's not sure he ingested an allergen. My point in sharing all of this is to emphasize the importance and seriousness of the matter. Please make it known to your customers in some obvious way (and certainly such that your employees would know) that your delicious donuts are made with soy protein (or pea protein or chickpea protein, or lentil protein- believe me, those are all used as added plant proteins.) Reading labels is second nature to our family, but it's so hard when something fresh made incorporates the allergen into their food that would not typically have added proteins. We love donuts and have eaten them from so many different donut shops and houses of donuts all over the country, but never encountered a hidden allergen in the dough. Let the people know, please!
