Was not certain why this business has a two rating until I got there. In a busy food area and between a Taco Bell and Jersey Mike. This is definitely the last straw. This Dunkin location is right across the street from where I work, so I go there often. At best it's mediocre - at worst it's terrible. Today I purchased the banana cloud latte and realized that it's more than the advertised price, because they tack on an additional $.75 for the banana foam that actually makes it a banana latte. It's already over five dollars, so to add an additional charge for the foam that actually makes it the drink it's advertised as is ridiculous. I want to start by saying that my most recent visit to Dunkin' was truly refreshing. In the past, I've left negative reviews for the Dunkin' Donuts on State Road 54 in New Port Richey, but today's experience completely changed my perception. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by a young man at the register. He was polite, friendly, and created a welcoming atmosphere that made a big difference in my overall experience. In contrast to previous visits where I felt frustrated, ignored, or even disrespected by staff, today felt like a breath of fresh air. I had made an online order and realized immediately afterward that I had made a mistake. I went into the store right away to explain the issue. The young man listened patiently, addressed my concern politely, and communicated with the team clearly to get everything sorted out quickly. I was in and out in under five minutes. As I left, I made a point to tell him how much I appreciated being heard and respected. Then, I took a sip of my iced coffee--and it was perfect, from the first sip to the last. I wish I had gotten his name so I could properly thank him, but I truly appreciate the excellent service and positive energy. Zero rating! Horrible experience. I come all the time to this location and order the same thing every time; iced caramel latte with espresso shot and melted sugar (regular surgeries always grainy and comes up the straw instead of the coffee and the liquid sugar tastes weird to me). Today (day after election) I go and request my usual and am told they can't melt the sugar per policy. I say that's strange as I come here often to do so. Then get to the window and ask when that came into effect. The window cashier said "it's always been that way and this location has never done that", with attitude. So I said it's ok you don't have to lie if you're just too lazy to make it. Then she passes me my drink that looks like straight milk, a splash of coffee and caramel at the bottom. The cashier then closes the window so I pull out and park to bring the drink back in. I nicely asked if they could remake it or refund me since they were giving me an issue from the start. Someone behind the cashier named Sarah said lattes are normally more milk than coffee. I said I am aware as I order here all the time which is why I'm saying this looks like too much milk. She said I'm not going to argue with you, I'm not the one. How Hispanic can you be coming in here with your kid in your arms yelling and arguing?! Mind you not once did I raise my voice. I then looked at the cashier and said you can go ahead and refund me. This place needs to go through proper training on professionalism, policy, and customer service. Always check your order before you leave. There have been numerous times when I have left with missing or wrong items. For example, I request my breakfast sandwiches on croissants, but they may put it on an English muffin instead. I have also ordered the hash browns, and received less than 6--which is super disappointing because these are some of my favorite hash browns. In addition to cutting the menu down (some of the best items are now gone), they do not seem to have the correct prices in the computer. I got a flyer for a $3 breakfast sandwich. When I received my receipt, I was charged $4.29 before tax. None of these things mean the end of the world, but it gets frustrating when you encounter issues on multiple occasions. read more

This is a copy of a letter I sent to Dunkin Donuts Corporate Offices: To Dunkin Donuts Corporate Leadership, I am contacting you to inform you that one of your franchises is doing a tremendous disservice to your overall brand name. The location I am referencing is located at: 10829 State Rd. 54 Suite 101 New Port Richey, FL. 34655 If you keep track of customer contacts you will note that I have contacted your corporate offices in the past about this location. Previously, I stopped by this location to purchase a donut assortment for my medical practice meeting. When I got to the meeting and opened the box of donuts I saw that it was full of simply "plain" donuts. When I called the location and asked how in the world this could be called an "assortment," I was informed that that was the only donut they had left. I asked why I was not informed about this at the time of the order and the person on the phone told me "they didn't think it would matter." I contacted Dunkin Donuts corporate offices and received an email asking if I wouldn't mind being contacted by the franchise owner. I said that was fine and he called a few days later. The franchise owner was not at all friendly or apologetic, and actually came across as quite aggressive and ill-tempered. His solution as to how to resolve my customer service issue was simply an offer to give me another order of donuts at another time. The customer service, from the people behind the counter up to the franchise owner was terrible. Fast forward to yesterday. My son volunteers to work at a local animal sanctuary on the weekends and he likes to stop by Dunkin Donuts for a quick breakfast on his way to work. As this location is very close to our home I reluctantly agree to go there from time to time. There is generally a very long line that blocks traffic in the parking lot; and it is not uncommon to spend 15-20 minutes waiting in the drive through lane. The problem with this location is that there are concrete "lanes" leading all the way through the parking lot, so, even if you get tired of the wait there is no "out..." and you have to wait for the line of cars to move forward before you can "escape." Yesterday after a long wait we ordered our food and got to the window. After handing the employee my credit card and getting it back, I realized that although my son ordered an iced coffee he did not have anything else to drink. I asked for a plain cup of water. The employee at the window indicated that it would cost 80 cents. Never in the past have I been charged for a cup of water. I asked the employee about this and he said his "boss said they had to charge 80 cents for a cup of water and if he didn't, his boss would kill him." I told him that it was ridiculous to charge people for water and that it should be a common courtesy (considering I spent over $15 and was waiting for 20 minutes in line). He angrily grabbed a cup of water and said, "fine...just take it..." I asked the employee at the window if the charge for 80 cents was a corporate policy or a franchise policy. He said it was corporate and there was nothing they could do. I found this response suspect as I have never been charged for a cup of water at any other franchise location in the past. As we were driving away down the road we noticed that we were missing the donut we ordered. I called no more than 1 minute after leaving the franchise and said I wanted to speak to the manager. A man identifying himself as the manager got on the phone and I told him we were missing an item from our order. He asked for my order number. I gave it to him and he said we never ordered a donut. However, when we placed the order the woman who read back our order had included it in the list of items. I tend to listen carefully as my experiences at this location in the past were not so positive and I make it a point to verify the order as it is read back. I informed the manager of this and he simply said..."well, you didn't pay for a donut according to the receipt." Again, no regret for a bad experience and he came across as simply not caring. As per usual, the sandwiches were very overcooked. My croissant sandwich was so overdone it was burned and blackened. The sausages looked like dried, brown hockey pucks. This location hasn't yet mastered the skillful art of the wake up wrap, and they put 700 lbs of sugar in my coffee despite requesting "one sugar." The assistant manager hid her badge so we could not report her. They made our order incorrectly at the drive through then told us to pull up and they would redo it. We sat in the car with our baby and no one came out. When my husband went inside 15 mins later they hadn't even started redoing anything....this was Saturday dec 16th at 10:13am... horrible horrible service. I have tried so hard to give this place the benefit of the doubt... First problem: the drive-thru. I don't know who designed this parking lot/drive through, but it is the most asinine design ever. (I've actually talked to DD about this - they apologized and said they would try to do something about it, but...) In the morning, the line usually spills out onto the main highway, and once you're IN the drive thru- there's no getting out. You're stuck. Terrible drive-thru, but if you go inside (even when it's dead) the service is even slower. Second problem: the speed. This place seems to always have at least five or more people working behind the counter, yet they never seem to be doing anything except walking back and forth. It brings to mind a new version of the old adage: "How many people do you need to make my coffee?" Maybe the manager is indifferent or ineffective, but it seems like efficiency is something sorely lacking at this location...which is sad, because they don't really make up for it in any other area (their product is equal, if not worse, than most DDs, and the shop itself is not very welcoming or clean). I used to go here when I was running late and needed my coffee - but it usually just made me even later than if I had made my own coffee at home and read the paper. The saddest thing about this review is that I really WANT to like this location. It's convenient for me and the people that work there are friendly (even though they're slow and inefficient). Good healthy fast breakfast menu! Gigi & I will stop here on the way to school. In order to count calories, we will split a bagel or donut. I like the healthy breakfast choices in wraps and sandwiches. And, yes, their coffee is friggin' delicious. I've also tried the designer java choices and the ones I've had are well crafted! Always out of the donuts I want and one time I went in to order a dozen and they told me they were out of Boston creme. I'm leaving a 5 star review because for a new business, I think they a doing a great job. Staff is very friendly and they always get my coffee perfect. That being said, I have been there at least ten times already and they have never had cinnamon raisin bagels. The production manager needs to increase the order on bagels. I've complained to the staff several times because they only make a handful of cinnamon raisin every morning. I would give this location negative stars! Horrible store on 54 in Trinity. Very busy day. I waited patiently for 5 minutes for inside service. I wanted a dozen donuts & box of Joe. This brunette girl took my order & said they were out of boxes of Joe containers. I saw one on the shelf. So, I asked if I could have that box. She told me that was for display & was stuffed & dusty. I said ok I'll just get 4 med. black coffees. Waiting an additional 15 minutes for my black coffees. While waiting, another customer came in & asked for a box of Joe. She said she was out of boxes. He mentioned the same box on the shelf. I'm waiting for her to say it's a display box. Nope!!! She says just give me a minute, & I'll get you that box since you were so good to me last week....I lost it! I said to her that you told me I couldn't have it. Yet, you gave it to that man. She said I'll give you a free coffee. I said keep your free coffee! I was there now for 20 minutes waiting for 4 black coffees.
