Keepin it real out here in UWS Literally given up on Dunkin coffee many times from getting super diluted, milky coffee over and over. Had a promo to get a free drink so I went back to give it another try. The lady handed me a cold drink over the counter after i ordered a hot one, (trying to be nice :D) i didn't want to cause a scene because i'm not picky so I went to get the drink only to have her flip out 7 seconds later yelling that's not what I ordered. I handed back because i didn't want an iced cold drink on a below freezing day anyway. She then proceeded to fill up my hot latte order with literally a whole cup of milk. It was disturbing to see but it tasted good cause it was milky and sweet. But yea, that was the last time I visited Dunkin, probably won't be going back any time soon (unless i receive another promo)

I love my vanilla chai [with almond milk bc I'm lactose intolerant], so I came in to DD here on Columbus Ave and 95th st to kill some time while on the clock. I walked into a clean environment with a great aura in here. The black lady with the dimples greeted me with the brightest smile saying "Good morning and happy Wednesday to you!" I wish her much success in the future as she is what's wanted and needed in the world. Doesn't matter where you work or who you are... it matters about how you make people feel & the mark you leave on the world. Promote her! [It is in the 'BEing' where transformation takes place and in a world where corruption and malice takes precedence in the news/media, it's the LITTLE things that can cause that shift!

Quick service, very friendly. Typical menu. Neighborhood Dunkin, they even know what their regulars. So I ordered a glass of water along with my croissant and that's exactly what I got - a warm cup of NYC faucet water, no ice. There's a first time for everything. Maybe that's how they do it here in the big city, I'm not sure. On my second visit, the woman rang my order and promptly checked me out. The same woman from the register, then went over and started making and completing everyone else's order around me. After she finished, she looked at me strangely and asked if I was waiting for something. I reminded her that I had just (moments prior) placed an order with her and again told her my order. I watched as she snickered and handed my order a few minutes later. Not exactly good customer service. There are so many competing businesses nearby, including other DD locations. This is not the best that the area has to offer, but it is standard.

Christmas cups!! (Maybe not at Starbucks, but Dunkin has them!)

This is my go-to Dunkin in NYC. I stay in the Upper West Side a lot when I'm in New York for work and this location is convenient for me. The service is always quick and there's always a place for me to find to sit.

This spot is one of the more well-known doughnut shops in the city, and after trying it, it's easy to see why. We ordered the Hazelnut doughnut and the Pistachio doughnut, and both were excellent. The Hazelnut doughnut had a rich chocolate flavor with crunchy hazelnut pieces on top that added the perfect texture. The Pistachio doughnut was lighter and had a great balance of sweetness with a nice pistachio flavor throughout. Both doughnuts were soft, fresh, and packed with flavor without being overly heavy. The location inside Grand Central gives it a really cool NYC vibe as well. It's the perfect stop to grab a coffee and doughnut while exploring the city or waiting for a train. Between the quality of the doughnuts and the atmosphere of Grand Central Station, this ended up being one of the best dessert stops from the trip.

Now the doughnut was a pretty good one and I'll prob stop back by next time I'm in town but it wasn't the best I've ever had. Now to their defense I'm from a small town who had the absolute best glazed doughnuts and holes anywhere and will forever be the best. There is nothing like a fresh doughnut from a small baker. Anyways Doughnut Planet had a great glaze topping, soft but crisp doughnut that is served warm, it's doing all the right things for sure!

Anyways, one order of the mini donuts, they are super customizable and if you need help picking and choosing flavors and toppings, the staff member can provide suggestions and pairings. I got the Ube and Pistachio and they both taste great, especially when they're freshly made and warm. I've also tried the Strawberry Covered Chocolates and those strawberries were massive. The problem with massive strawberries is eating them. If I had a knife, I could cut them into smaller pieces as eating them on a skewer stick got really messy. Also the strawberry itself overpowered any of the chocolate taste, so it didn't balance well in terms of taste. For sure favored the milk chocolate over the dark chocolate.

I opted for the mini donuts with strawberry and ube flavors with sprinkle and snowy milk as the toppings. I also added fresh strawberries - and did I mention that the donuts are made fresh? All of that for just $13. I loved the mochi texture of these treats and I am looking forward to trying to new flavors next time! I was also eyeing the croffles because they looked almost like ice creams. You can get these to go or if you'd like to eat as you roam around, the owner will put them in a paper boat/container for you. She was so patient and makes all of her treats fresh it seems. Can't wait to come back to try the croffles!

Filled donuts are bursting at the seams with custard that tastes like egg yolks, cream, sugar, vanilla and little else. The orange cream cheese donut is generously frosted with, I'd guess, a mixture of cream cheese, marmalade, powdered sugar, and cream. Based on what we've tried, the donuts at Caroline's are old fashioned, unadulterated and excellent. I recently picked up four donuts for the fambly: the aforementioned orange cream cheese, creme brulee, Boston cream, and raspberry glaze donuts. This was in the afternoon around 4 p.m. and all of them were perfectly, wondrously fresh. The person at the counter (the male proprietor, I think) assured me in his charming French accent that they freshly fry donuts several times a day. Creme brulee was the fan favorite with the hard, crisp, sugar shell on top cracking delicately under a knife to reveal a loose, rich, custardy filling. But across the board, donuts were beautifully made (both aesthetic and delicious!), and well frosted / glazed / filled. The raspberry glaze by itself was a touch too sweet for our tastes, but applied with restraint so the overall effect was balanced. We are not in the donut market very often, but have had this place bookmarked ever since my esteemed Yelp colleague, Alan S., reviewed it last year. Now that we've tried these beauties, I think we're going to find many excuses to be back (e.g. for Hannukah sufganiyot, anything round for Lunar New Year, anything fried for Diwali, anything that can support a candle for birthdays, etc...).We really like this place and we suspect you will, too.

I'm talking about an establishment that makes high-quality gourmet treats. As you can imagine, I was thrilled to see this one opening in the neighborhood last year. I have been to Caroline's several times since it opened its doors to the public. I've tried a few of their items, including the glazed twist, Boston creme, coffee donut, and strawberry filled. The glaze twist is one of my favorites. It's wonderfully sweet while not cloying, and I especially enjoy topping it with the Bon Mama berry jam I have at home. The Boston creme is truly made with love. It's sufficiently stuffed with creme and topped with a thick layer of chocolate ganache - the expensive stuff! The coffee donut is also delicious. Of everything I've tried, the strawberry filled was my favorite. You can tell their strawberry compote is homemade and not too sweet. The dough is light and fluffy and generously coated with granulated sugar. What a treat!
