I'm originally from New York and while I like that glazed donut place so famous in the south, Dunkin tastes like home! I was really excited when the Pelham location opened because it's close to my home in alabaster. I like the wide variety of drinks, donuts, and sandwiches available. My personal favorites are the chocolate cake donut, the blueberry cake donut, and the maple glazed donut. There are a bunch of tables in the store so you can sit and enjoy your food. I was craving Dunkin' Donuts and coffee one morning, so we ventured down to Pelham for some additional caffeine. I wasn't expecting much as far as service since it is a chain, but the employees were very friendly to me. I actually considered trying a new donut flavor, and it made me laugh that one of the employees told me it literally tasted terrible and no one liked it; she made some other recommendations that I was considering and they did not disappoint. She even threw in an extra flavor of the chocolate glazed for free just to be nice! The blueberry to my surprise was one of the best doughnuts I've ever had and the chocolate glazed was delicious as usual. My only complaint here was that my cold brew coffee was very watered down and didn't taste like the previous ones I've had at other Dunkin locations but that didn't stop me from enjoying the excellent service and quality of donuts this location provided(they were tasty and fresh and were not stale!). My family has ordered many times from this location and the last 5-6 times it not been up to par with how they used to be. We haven't received our exact order in a long while. They are constantly out of a few types of doughnuts, fail to contact us to let us know this to see what our replacement of them we would like.. they just throw in random kinds that weren't even requested instead of at least replacing with ones that were actually in our order. Very disappointing. They should strive to get it together again. read more

If you want horrible service or your food prepared incorrectly...or denied food altogether this is the location to go to. Hands down the WORST Dunkin Donuts I have ever been to. But this weekend was the icing on the cake. After waiting 15 minutes in the drive through and finally getting to order we were greeted with "have you ordered yet?" "No.." "k. Go ahead." Lovely, right? We placed our coffee orders and proceeded to order food and we were told they're not doing food orders right now...a fast food chain restaurant not doing food orders. When we got to the window we asked why they weren't doing food orders and we were told because the line is too long and the food orders hold up the line...again....what.... He proceeds to say "the line is already this long with just coffee orders. We're too busy to do food." I get my coffee (ice coffee with almond milk and caramel swirl) and it tasted like STRAIGHT creamer. I asked him to remake it and he asked what was wrong with it. I explained what was wrong and he asked "so....you want us to remake it?" "Yes please" "okay..pull forward and we'll bring it out" This child really asked me to pull forward and wait for a coffee. I told him never mind and threw the coffee away. I'd also like to notate that this location is operated by a bunch of high school children. Which..nothing wrong with that whatsoever. But they need at least one employee that can help them run things and have them do their ENTIRE job instead of allowing them to pick and choose how much of their job they're going to do. read more

Went in on a Sunday at 2 in the afternoon. They were already out of chocolate glazed donuts. I asked the guy that took forever to come over to the counter when the next batch would be ready. He answered "tomorrow morning". Really??? The stock of donuts was already low. I could have easily bought a dozen donuts. He was not helpful at all. The way I was treated in the drive thru was unheard of. The guy name Allen was very rude and unpleasant. I was ordering for my family and I and Allen was getting an attitude with me for whatever reason. Look if you don't like your job quit !!! Who doesn't like fresh donuts and coffee???? Love DD! I have never had an issue with this location. They have always been fast, friendly and prompt either if your ordering in or going through the drive thru. Prices are very reasonable as well on donuts. Breakfast meals are a little more pricy. Huge selection of coffees, smoothies, hot cocoa and other drinks. Their munchkins are the best and super cheap! Definitely get a bag to go. Only downside I find is the space. Its very compact and small on the inside and can get cramped at times. Especially during peak hours, the place will fill up fast. Overall it is well maintained and clean. read more

I have to say, I have never seen a bigger bunch of idiots running a Dunkin donuts than the staff they had here this morning. OMG!!! Arguing with each other, a line formed and no eye contact to say I'll be right with you, we were all asking if we could get help- one idiot said - I'll be with you in a sec while he tried to figure out to make a pot of coffee. I think the front service people and the window people were even tossing donut holes at each other- leaving us customers - who have work to do and places to go standing around playing pocket pool. Albeit the donuts may have been fine ( i just picked up a dozen to take to a meeting and did not eat one) but whoever manages this place- shame on you. You hire no brain stoners on a busy morning and they were obviously not managed at all. If the owner was there- really sad. Heard there was another choice ( a local place down the road once I got to the office ) so I will not ever be back here and make better choices in the future. Just had a conversation with the drive-through guy I wanted a dozen donuts with a couple of different kinds and if he picked out what kind they were I could order him but if I wanted to tell him what kind I wanted I had to park my car and come in. We were at Dunkin Donuts on 480 Cahaba Valley Road in Pelham, AL today, Friday 7-16-21.  There were 3 young men on staff with no other customers there.  I request 3 times that our dirty table be cleaned prior to sitting down to eat.  A staff member came out with a dry napkin and dusted the crumbs off the table.  There appeared to be no Covid standards in place and/or being complied to by the staff.  No masks, no clean tables, and no spray sanitizer used on the table.  Hygiene and cleanliness are basic physiological needs for every customers.  There is a basic need that is common amongst all during this Covid pandemic, especially now that the Delta strain of the virus is more prominent than ever. Hygiene and cleanliness particularly become a critical issue at public places.  Moreover, the Dunkin Donut staff gave no evidence of caring about keeping the place clean nor pleasing the only customers patronizing the location. read more

I had a $2 coupon to use at Dunkin Donuts, and this location was the closest to me. The store was easy to find, staff was nice, quick transaction, and best of all, the pumpkin donuts were so good! I'm a fan of anything pumpkin, but really, this cake donut had the right combination of the pumpkin flavor and sweetness. I dislike anything overly sweet. This was the first Dunkin Donuts I've visited in the state of Alabama, and the first time in months since I've had a Dunkin Donut (Colorado does not run on dunkin). I stopped here on my cross country trek to Montgomery. Anyway, it must be near a college campus because there were a ton of cute college aged girls. Where do I start... this store is ran by Arabs/foreigners/indian , some of the whites and blacks don't get alone.. while there is racism involved I'm sure customers just want to be served.. I have been to this location before and had decent (not awesome) service but today was a disaster. I had a $2 coupon and knew what i wanted for breakfast going in (on my way to work so in a hurry). I placed my order and told her I had the coupon. She said the coupons " were not working" but she would try. When I scanned the register froze up and she had to reboot. Dunkin Donuts make the best chain donuts in town. Krispy Kreme are good minutes out of the glazer but you could glaze thumb tacks and they'd be good like that. It is what happens 20 minutes later where KK fails miserably. Cold they are supermarket freezer grade donuts. DD makes donuts that are good next day. Better variety as well. KK does glazed well if you get them quick. Beyond that they are a train wreck. DD's are good across the board. There are better donut shoppes in town. Boutique and locally owned and operated but for the national guys Dunkin wins easily. read more
