Just got coffee with the family. Manager was extremely rude and his customer service was horrible. He began to argue with me about his poor attitude when I asked him why he was being rude! Dunkin' why do you have him as a manger? He is not only the face of your business but he is teaching the rest of the staff! A staff member, Phoebe, who overheard the exchange immediately stepped in and took the remainder of our order. Great job Phoebe it is you who should be the manager NOT him! So after being a Dunkin' Donuts fan and eating it whenever I could on business trips to the East Coast and also internationally like in Seoul, I was super excited that this location was opening. We went for the first time last week and had the worst experience with this other customer cutting in line and the cashier not even saying anything like "those people were first". But we just chalked it up to rude people in general. But then we went back and this time we received just awful service from the person working there. Great donuts however where this location fell short for me is the way our drinks were made. Since we are highly allergic to dairy products we ordered our iced lattes with oat milk. Upon receiving our drinks I tasted mine and noticed the consistency was less thick than normal. There was sort of a milk aftertaste which was a red flag. Before leaving we proceeded to head back inside and ask if it was made with oat milk and they said "yes" but I don't think it was since I don't feel so hot right now.... Our cups were also not filled to the top when we received them :/ while you may ask why it's 3 stars and not 2 it's because of their customer service-- really good-- the cleanliness and the atmosphere. For the past years, I often ordered Dunkin coffees everywhere on the East Coast. Comparing to the ones I've been to, this one definitely had younger staff and much more space. I had the most embarrassing morning here but I have to say the service was beyond any I've ever experienced in San Carlos! I took my two young kids for breakfast before school and won 'mom of the year' award by knocking my hot coffee all over my poor 20 month old son. Everyone rushed to my service (including customers) and helped clean, brought new coffee to me, gave both my kids hot chocolate and made what could have been a disastrous morning pleasant for me. So delicious, and awesome service. I always loved getting Dunkin' Donuts when I was traveling to those lucky states where they seem to be on every corner. When I saw one opening in San Carlos, I got pretty excited but didn't actually make it there until this morning. I bought two dozen for my buddies at work and some coffee for myself. The woman who helped me was friendly and super efficient. The place was clean and welcoming. I know there are some bad reviews out there, but whatever kinks they had in the early days after opening have been worked out because it was an awesome experience. AND THE DONUTS ARE DELICIOUS! This location has been open for awhile now, and they are not improving. They are wildly inefficient - we just stood in line for 20+ minutes and finally gave up. There were hordes of people waiting for their food. Their brewed coffee is terrible. Their donuts are bland. Their breakfast sandwiches are pretty good, if you have an hour to kill. We had high hopes for this place, and we waited eagerly for it to open. We'll be going back to Starbucks and Peet's when we need a quick breakfast. read more

Service is bad. Asked for a breakfast sandwich which got a wrap. Told the young lady who gave me my food that the order is wrong and she told me it was not. I know what I ordered. Stopped by the other day on my way past San Carlos. Was really impressed.Customer service was great. The young man with circular glasses greeted me and created a genuine conversation since I was the only one in the store. I was wondering which meal to order and he told me the bacon croissant is the most popular one. He even advised me to get a second bacon sandwich for a deal of 2 for $5 even though he said he doesn't eat bacon when I asked him how it taste. Great guy! read more

Wow, the quality sure has gone down over the years. I got a sugared and a jelly doughnut, and both were really dense, salty, and left a heavy, greasy afterfeel in my mouth. The jelly is just "red" flavored. The sugar on the sugared doughnut was nearly as fine as powdered sugar and not very much of it stuck to the doughnut. I took one bite of each and tossed them. So gross. I think the store is new and it's nice, but big chain has gone for crummy quality. I will never eat a dunkin' donut again. Support mom & pop doughnut places! read more

I waited so long for them to open, I was excited as I love a good donut now and then...so disappointed with my first order, I ordered a double chocolate and a apple fritter, they both tasted like day old donuts, not lite and fresh. The first time I ever went to this Dunkin' it was busy as hell and I ended up waiting a long time for an order they got wrong. Everyone has a bad day so I decided to give them another chance. It seems this Dunkin' is very popular so whenever I go during off-hours they are very polite and get my order right. People have given this place bad reviews but the people working here are very nice- just overwhelmed. If it's 10am on a saturday and you're the kind of person that cannot afford to have their order possibly messed up just go to starbucks or something. If its Tuesday 3PM though and you got some time, go for it. They are actually very fast, but like I said its a popular location and they get overwhelmed with mobile orders. If you let them know they got your order wrong they will most likely let you keep the drink and make you the correct order. Heck, I walked in thinking I ordered something, and was confused when I didn't get that. Then I read my receipt and there it was: I had entered the wrong thing in the app. They were very nice and just made me the thing I had originally wanted! Before getting in the moderately sized line I asked who I think the manager was if there were any donuts coming out. I enjoy Dunkin' Donuts coffee, and even their donuts from time to time. However, service here is not consistent. Sometimes they are super-friendly. Sometimes they are sullen and slow as molasses! Today we decided to check out DD. My daughter was really excited. We ordered a glazed, toasted coconut, lemon, and jelly donut. Let's just say we were very underwhelmed. Not much to say but the jelly donut was ok. It tasted like a jelly donut. The glazed was below average, and the toasted coconut tasted like a hostess donut out of a box. If I was dying for a donut and this was the only donut place in the area I might come back. But let's talk about the customer service and restaurant. Being this was a relatively new place I expected a warm welcoming staff and a clean place. I was welcomed by a guy who asked me what I wanted. He then put my order in a bag. My daughter then asked my wife for an iced coffee and then relayed the order to me. He asked are you all together? No, I'm ordering shit for someone elses kid. Is it because I'm not quite the same ethnicity as the lady asking for a coffee? He then said place your card in the card reader and then walked away and took orders for the next person. No thanks or anything. I had to get my own receipt from the machine. We proceeded to a table which was full of crumbs from the last patron. After eating my wife needed to use the restroom. She walked in and walked back out. Apparently it was really dirty. At this point the same guy that got my donuts was muttering and bitching to himself about the garbage being full. He took the trash out continuing to complain under his breath. I believe he was the supervisor too. I don't think we'll be coming back anytime soon. I'd rather go to Rolling Pin Donuts anyway. Today was just the worst experience. I normally don't care to write reviews but I can not keep my mouth close. So I go in it's about 6:20am no donuts are ready. I ask the lady at the cashier how long she says,"I don't know." I order a pint of coffee and that room 15 mins which is crazy because your just pouring the coffee into the box. I ask a gentle men how long will the donuts take and he says about an hour. I went there to get donuts for a coworkers birthday and it was a fail. The staff were unprofessional, even in their appearance. This Dunkin' Donuts location is not dependable. You are better off go to the mom and pop donut shops who open when they are suppose to and thinks are ready to go. read more

This morning I went to this location and my visit was ok. I ordered a large decaf coffee with cream and sugar on the side and the person who made it put them in the coffee so it had to be remade. I also ordered a bagel toasted with veggie cream cheese. The cream cheese wasn't thick like it is regularly and the bagel was heavy and wetter than bagels should be. I have to give the guy credit who made finished the bagel because the guy asked if I wanted 2 things of cream cheese or just 1. As I was drinking the coffee it was getting very bitter halfway thru and just didn't taste right. The large coffee wasn't even full and I didn't ask for room left in the cup. Since DD opened back up in California I have also visited the one in Half Moon Bay and that experience wasn't the best. Like others have said the east coast DD are totally different. In Providence near school there were maybe 3 of them around the downtown campus and they were easy to get too in between classes and something quick if we were running late for classes. read more

Worst service I have experienced. I walked in as I was ordering just a medium hot coffee the male employee just stared at me never said a word while he took my order and the female employee was standing there. Once my order was placed he handed me my receipt I stood to the side, she seemed to walk away in the back and then took her break in the front. He then proceeded to take three other customers orders while being the only one working at that time now and still did not make my coffee. The next lady in line wanted a certain donut and the employee on break got up and said to her "I can make you those donuts if you don't mind waiting a few minutes" then proceeded to the back to make these donuts and the male employee continued to get her order. After 13min of waiting for my coffee (just being polite while others got their stuff but got super annoyed once they offered to make a customer who came in after me donuts) and all of this happening I said "excuse me but where is my coffee" he stopped what he was doing and made my coffee (I was standing in front of the register the whole time and he definitely saw me) and did not say a single word no apology or anything. They were rude looked out of it and confused and did not care about the customers at all. Last time I'll be coming here. read more
