Am I shopping for goods or getting coffee? You'll never know. My favorite part here was the little section of handmade goodies. I had no idea I would walk out with a pillow, 2 dish towels and a wooden dish but I'm so glad I did. If you like shopping and coffee - come here! There is a Venmo handle at the register to send payment if you buy any crafts. In addition, there is a super cute board game area with Battleship, Connect 4, Candy Land, Boggle and more. I am rating a 4 because Dunn Brothers is a chain and I never really get the intimate, cozy locally owned feeling in these shops. Luckily the Woodbury location boasted a few unique ideas. Haven't been to Dunn Brothers in years! My nephew and I were in the area, needed a semi-quiet stop for homework, so decided to stop in around 11:00am on Saturday, 9/21/24. Not too busy, few people in the coffee shop enjoying coffee and conversation. The individual at the counter wasn't very friendly which isn't always the greatest at a coffee shop. We ordered two drinks. The individual who we picked up our drinks from had the same type of personality as the gal at the counter; so disappointing from a customer service standpoint. Our drinks tasted fine, nothing special. The location is a bit cramped for space. Seems a bit cluttered and rundown. This location is a little hidden and a bit of a challenge to get to the parking lot, but we managed. I don't think I'd return, there's lots of other coffee spots to stop. read more

I'm very careful about a two star rating, but with this being a Dunn Bros, I was very disappointed in the drink ordered (mocha) and the cleanliness of the cafe. Upon entering, it smelled of sour milk, so I knew there was a spill uncleaned at some point or that machines allowed splattering to occur without a wipe up. I don't know the source, but it definitely smelled of sour milk. The Mocha was NOT like the Dunn Bros Mocha I used to get weekly when I lived in Minneapolis years ago...It was not strong and it was overly sweet, so I know they changed the ingredients or the manner of making it...I was sadly disappointed in the whole experience. read more

I normally never write reviews, but in this case I'm very disappointed. I always get coffee at this location, the staff is normally pretty friendly and kind. I got the wrong coffee order, and I went back to get it fixed. immediately had an attitude about it. I explained why it was the wrong order and asked if I could get it fixed. while waiting for the new coffee, it still came out the wrong way and I asked very nicely if I could get it remade because that was the problem that I had before. I got an enormous amount of attitude and dirty looks between the employees about me. Im not sure if they were having a bad day and that affected their attitudes towards customers, but I won't be returning. it's very noticeable the lack of training in custom service and it's something that really needs to be worked on. I have been at the Dunn Brothers Woodbury before it was sold and sadly to say this one cannot be comparable for service or coffee quality. The service is not good neither friendly. You don't feel welcome to relax and enjoy a coffee. The fire place is so dirty and greasy inside that you cannot see the fire. Besides it is very dangerous. The coffee does not taste right. If you want a local coffee shop with a warm fireplace and some cool latte flavors like coconut or gingerman toffee this is the place for you! I've been looking for a local joint and the one that was most appealing to me had to be Dunn. It was about $5 and some change for the coconut latte made with almond milk but that's about how much I'd probably end up paying at Starbucks. One neat thing about them is they roast their coffee beans at the shop so the aroma hits you as soon as you walk in. We even tipped 20% because of the service, the barista was so friendly after new years eve that she even offerred Ibuprofen. 5 stars for being open on New Years day! read more

Waffle sandwich. What!?! And if I could do it again I would have just gotten the croissant sandwich. The waffle is a bit gritty and sugary and 2 teas and 2 breakfast sandwiches was over $20. Starbucks would have been $13 however their incinerator bakes every ounce of cheese out of their sandwiches so this place is overall better if you order right. I liked what I got and the cheese was ever present and good. My fault for getting 2 sugar crushed sugar filled waffles and smashing cheese and bacon between them. This is going to seem stupid. I'm going to review a coffee shop, but I can't stand the smell or taste of coffee. So, I like to come into Dunn Bros to get away from the house and get some of my writing done. I know...novel concept. (all puns intended) I usually get a hot chocolate or (to really confuse people) order a tall milk with a cookie. They people working there are friendly and helpful, even for an impossible @!$^ like me. What's keeping me from giving them 5 stars? The music they've got blasting. I usually end up here on a Sunday and I don't know if it's a theme, but it's been Christian rock. And oh man...it's REALLY hard to concentrate with lyrics that include "darkest days" and "you are my light" and "crucifixion" this and "crown of thorns" that. I don't know if they're thinking the Sunday crowd wants more Jesus bang for their buck, but personally it's a little off-putting. As a former Catholic who let his membership lapse back in 6th grade, it's really stomach-churning. Otherwise, it's a great place! read more

I shacked up at Dunn Brothers last week to get some work done before I took my dad to an appointment. My latte was great (though I would've preferred not to drink it out of a disposable cup---will have to bring my own next time). The atmosphere is sound for getting work done or chatting. They have plenty of small tables, plus two little loungey areas good for laptop-free conversation. I sat at a small high table near the roaster, and it smelled wonderful from that seat. Came in around 10:30, not very busy. Ordered two breakfast sandwiches and one blended drink with no whipped cream. Barista began to make drink iced and then blended it upon correction, still adding whipped cream. Only received one breakfast sandwich and had to remind the staff we had another. Terrible customer service and terrible communication between staff and between staff and customer. I've always loved dunn brothers, but will not be returning to this location. read more

So I recently transitioned from Starbucks to Dunn Bros coffee because I feel like the coffee flavor is more rich, it just generally tastes better. However....I've gone about 7/8 times in the past month and probably half of those times they've forgotten to put the flavor in my latte. I arrive at work to be disappointed upon my first sip; not to mention Dunn Bros is more expensive than Starbucks, Caribou, and Whole Foods coffee (which if its delicious I'm okay paying). For a mother of two young children who still don't sleep through the night, the little coffee treat is something special for ME in the morning. I hope staff read their reviews and take note this. This is my FAVORITE place to grab coffee in the morning. I always get the Large Caramel Mocha Iced Crema and it never fails to quench my cravings. The girls that serve me are always there, and they know my name and my drink order and have it ready. Great atmosphere, has live music on weekends, and is cozy and comfortable.
