Went in yesterday to pick out exterior paint. There were 5 people and the "designer" and they were very unhelpful. We were told to look at the colors on our phones, that was the extent of service we got. The "designer" told me it would take 72 hours to get a rendering of our house because she was leaving for her weekend (it was 11 am) so it would be next Thursday because she "hand paints" the computer generated image??? We also heard her go on and on about not liking spicy food. If you are forced to pick your HOA colors from Dunn & Edward's please get paint from anywhere else! Clearly they really feel like they have you trapped with the crappy service and even worse business hours for people who have a day job. read more

We have used Dunn-Edwards products for all our interior and exterior projects for 15+ years and have never been unhappy with the results. Our most recent projects were color-coordination nightmares, but Sydni at store #139 (Gilbert, AZ) was a miracle worker! She is unquestionably the BEST color consultant I have ever worked with! She was patient in working with me to understand the "why" of her color presentations, made me feel secure in choosing something out of my comfort zone, brought us out of the past into a more contemporary palette, all while being humble and not pushing her preferences or agenda. Came in to buy paint but the only person working didn't offer to assist me, greet me, make eye contact, or even acknowledge my presence. I waited for 10 minutes while the gentlemen helped a contractor client and when the contractor left, I waited another minute before slowly approaching the man and saying "hello". Still looking at computer he said "just wait a minute". I waited another 5 minutes or so and felt the man was annoyed by my presence so I eventually walked out. We are repainting our home. Our contractor highly recommended Dunn-Edwards paint. Their website advertises free color consultation. Except most stores really don't have this service. We really appreciated Kimberley's services as our color advisor. She went the extra mile to block out a picture of our house and walk us through all our color options. When I thought we'd made a decision, she offered to save all our work in case I didn't like the samples on the house so we could start the process again. My HOA says I have to paint my house. While not excited by the prospect, I have to get it done. My painter said he liked Dunn-Edwards the best, so that is what I chose. I do not really enjoy picking out paint, and my friend said that she used Dunn-Edwards color consultant. I called and made an appointment. You need to make an appointment. The color consultant was extremely helpful with my confusion about color scheme. There are so many that my HOA gives us to choose from. I just wanted something beige and neutral. She was very patient and helpful. I am glad that I checked out this free service that Dunn-Edwards offers! read more

Do not waste your time coming to talk to Jenna about paint. Never have I been dealt with so quickly. I guess white paint is white paint. Gave me two samples and was out of the store faster than what it took to drive here. The Ahwatukee store was way more professional. read more

We are so grateful for the help and of Jason Salvatierra! He saved our day and our house! After picking out and painting 1/2 of our house in the wrong color we had to go in at 6am to pick out new samples so our painters wouldn't loose another day with our mistake. He was so quick to help my husband find the absolute perfect color and get him out the door. Now we won't have blue walls instead of the grey we wanted. He definitely brightened our otherwise horrible night and day and years of having to live with blue/grey walls! For anyone that is wanting the typical lighter grey with no undertones make sure you get a pint of Miners Dust DEC786 as one of your samples to test! Thank you so much Jason! Great customer service here. The complaint I work for got their paint here when we were under construction. At that time, we got special pricing because of the company that was painting our building. Years later, I went in for some touch up paint. We don't qualify for special pricing anymore (totally understandable) but they went out of their way to give us great price. Thank you guys! read more

If you have any questions about color, DO NOT ask the guys behind the counter. They are no help at all in that area. If you know what you want they are nice enough and happy to get it for you, but not at all helpful with anything else. Jenna saved my experience at this location! I told her what type of colors I was looking for and she helped me find them and get samples within minutes! Thank goodness she spoke up and offered to help, because the people behind the counter did not even mention that she was a resource they just said "everyone sees color differently"! But that is what Jenna is there for, she is their color expert! 5 Stars for Jenna and one star for the man behind the counter who didn't know anything about color and did not even tell me to see Jenna! read more

We wanted to repaint our house and the HOA in which we live has over 100 paint schemes to choose from, so it can be quite overwhelming. The HOA website refers to Dunn Edwards for paint. I had never been there before. I went in to get some paint samples and saw that they have a "paint specialist" who can work with potential clients to help them choose the "perfect" colors for their house. I was able to work with a Wonderful woman named Caitlyn who just happened to have a free hour or so to work with me. I had a digital picture of our house that I was able to email to her while I was sitting with her. She had all the information on our HOA acceptable paint colors. She went out of her way to help us and I would recommend anyone going there. On a side note, The colors we ended up choosing was the one that Caitlyn suggested.
